In theory:

2.

We Contact NVC to check on status of processing
3.   Our package is delivered to the Embassy in Bucharest
4.   We receive Forms and checklist from Embassy (which we already have online)
5.   We complete the forms, send them to the Embassy.  Our interview is scheduled 1 month from then.
6.   Beneficiary schedules and finishes medical exam.
7.   Beneficiary gets police report.
8.   Beneficiary (and preferably petitioner as well) go to interview.
9.   Visa issued!  We must leave for US in 6 months, get married within 3 months of entering.
10. Apply for green card and EAD (work permit)
11. Live The American dream!  Avoid divorce and high cholesterol  biggrin.png

Thanks!  Yes, I received my NOA1 hardcopy 8 days after receiving the g-1145 email.  It was dated August 6th, so it was sent out 2 days before my email was sent.  I was concerned that the USCIS would have trouble sending notifications internationally.  I didn't include postage for it or a pre-stamped envelope (like a few sites have suggested).  Looks like it's not a big deal.

I'm hoping to receive my NOA2 in about the same amount of time.

First congrats. Curious though. You did recieve your noa1 hardcopy ok?

I'm American and my fiance is Romanian.  We're living together in Romania and want to move to the States.  We did the research, put together a i-129F petition, and sent it from Romania to the USCIS office in Texas on July 31, 2013 via DHL.  28 days later, on August 27th, I checked the USCIS site out of boredom and saw this:

Post Decision Activity
On August 27, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

We're blown away.  We were expecting this to take 3-5 months.  Anyone else having these kinds of results?

(I joined Visa Journey specifically to post this!)
