K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	about my marriage contract	hello.. ived been marriage almost month.. and my husband already went home to US. and he was planing to file my visa next month.. but our marriage contract having problem. about my fathers name. misspelled 1 later.. i hope this problem is not denied from my visa and embassy.. need some advice pls thanks you have to file for the correction of any erroneous in your marriage certificate,.you will be lucky if the USCIS, NVC and Manila embassy will not caught the error,does not really cause for denials but you will be possible to receive RFE for the error and that will delay the petition..this process of correcting the error takes 3 months from the Local Civil Registrar to NSO and there are many required documents to show for the correction,you should fix this problem as soon as possible. go to your Local Civil Registrar where the Marriage happen and ask them the process for you to get ready all docs they want from you...good luck..this is very stress full	A_& T_	Not Telling	Philippines	2012-10-16 23:47:00

As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified. Is this a 'case complete' Does anyone know what it means? National Visa Center (Dept of State)	RFE question	Apparently the local registry version of a birth certificate is no good, need to send in another NSO birth certificate (Philippines). Already sent an NSO one to USCIS. Well anyway, I have some more NSO one's for the spouse since I had her send me some. Question is: Do I have to wait for the RFE email? They said I need to send in the cover letter. Can I just use the same cover letter used from the DS-230 package, or does it have to be the new one that they'll send? it takes 3 weeks to wait mail from NVC about the RFE, print out the checklist from NVC about the missing documents they need from you and use the same cover letter from DS-230. i did the same to save time and i don't see any problem. good luck	A_& T_	Not Telling	Philippines	2013-01-24 23:45:00

Yes, all the children, no matter if step, will need to be listed for US citizenship.   For the I-751, it is a joint application and asks for all children. It seems to fine to list step kids or not to for ROC, but for each child it specifically asks if they live with you and are they applying with you. You can list ALL the children and check NO, they are not applying with you. If they are all USC children, then leave the A numbers blank for all of them.   okay. thanks for your patient and for your answer. now i understand... There is someone on another forum who got denied her citizenship application because she did not list the kids from a previous marriage/relationship.  http://www.worldlawdirect.com/forum/naturalization-citizenship/18537-n-400-denied-need-advice-2.html    Now the question about children is different on N400 as it clearly asks to mention if the child is: biological child, stepchild, or legally adopted.   The I-751 just says lists "all your children" but encourages you to add an extra paper if necessary...so you can do that if in doubt.    If there's one important lesson I learned  - and still learning - thanks to VJ is that it doesn't hurt to disclose everything in advance.  Thanks for the information.   The big question is.. is the part 4 list all children is for the immigrant question or is for the US citizen? Parents consent / parents advice if your fiance is 24 years old and below. Divorce decree if applicable, CENOMAR and birth certificate for your fiance. if you need to extend your stay here all you have to do is go to the nearest bureu of immigration to extend your stay you will pay 3k++++ pesos. We are so eager to finally be together and to be married. We are also very thankful for all the support and guidance and kindness here on VJ. A wealth of information and good spirits. I am just curious about the experiences of other recently approved applicants and wait times regarding 2go Visa pick up. As an added note, this coming 20th and 21st are Philippine holidays and the embassy will be closed for business those two days. I imagine this will cause a slight delay in current pending Visa's. How old are your kids? let me know the process for the CFO (requirements to bring for the kids) cuz we're also going a day before our flight for Hawaii. just done CFO yesterday at Manila, the requirements are simple, if the petitioner was divorced be sure to bring divorce decree and his/her birth certificate, Valid ID, Marriage Certificate from NSO, make copy each. the counselor will not let kids inside the room because there are topics that kids must not hear, be sure to be there EARLY if you will go in CFO manila,they will only accept 17 person only in morning and another 17 in the afternoon,the seminar only takes 5 hours and another 5 minutes in ONE on ONE seminar with the counselor,.good luck..because the counselor are not friendly,they will make you confused. they will also hold you if you cannot answer the question... Per their website which I'm looking at right now says, Please check the schedule of the counseling session before proceeding to CFO because it is country-specific and the slots are limited only to 12 per session. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Anyways, it wasn't clear if you have your visa in hand already when you went there the 1st time. If you had it then why didn't you get the sticker on the same day? If you didn't have it and you intend to come back on Monday, make sure you'll have it with you along with the counseling certificate. Philippines	Marriage in Philippines	All, Sorry for what must have been posted before, but looking for updated information and ideas. I am engaged to a filipina living in Ozamis City (Misamis Occidental). She and her family would like us to have a civil wedding in Ozamiz City. She has talked to local Registrar and from this we have run into several questions/Issues. 1) I am divorced from a filipina from my past where we were married and divorced in the US. During marriage we were required to file paperwork with Philippine embassy about marriage for passport purposes, thus our US marriage was recognized registered in Philippines. The local registrar says I must provide a cenomar from the NSO for myself. First I did not know that was possible, second if so I am sure they have me married to a filipina as my divorce was done in US and is controlled by states not nationally. So will my marriage show up in NSO? Can they issue cenomar to foriegn national? if I show as married how do I fix this? 2) As alot of US employee's I am only giving 3 weeks vacation. According to timeline we figured out based on local registrar reguirements, I would need at least a month in the philippines. This is not possible. The local registrar is saying 12 days posting based on 5 day work week thus 16 days posting, plus one day filing and one day pickup. Also a one day seminar after waiting period. not during or before. I have seen posts here saying they did it in 10 calendar days, same day, conflicts on pre-marriage seminar. Seen posts saying judge expediated etc, we do not see a judge but a registrar that makes the rules in the city. Is there any place or way we can get married but meet requirements in a reasonable time frame? We are out of options... Philippines	another CFO question	My wife already got the certificate from the counseling class (whatever it is), part 1 of the CFO. After she gets her visa, she'll need to get the sticker, part 2. My question is, does the 15 slots apply to just getting the sticker? or is it just a matter of walking in, showing the visa/passport/other documents and getting the sticker? Philippines	NBI clearance question	Hi again my interview will be on Feb 20 and i was wondering if i need to get another new civil documents again.i had NBI but the date is November 2012 which i sent at NVC stage and also i got CENOMAR for married just in case CO ask with the same date Novermber 2012, do i have to get new civil documents with the date of 2013? and one last question, i already post this but it is in DCF forum. my husband really want to be with me on my interview, in fact he already bought plane tickets for the week of my interview, do i have to make appointment for him to go with me inside the Usembassy Manila? please i need some help	A_& T_	Not Telling	Philippines	2013-01-19 01:59:00
