USCIS Service Centers	Vermont service center	Hello everyone, I've been following this forum for a few months but it's my first time posting. I had a question. What's going on with the Vermont Center? I used to hear that it's the fastest processing center and got really excited when my papers were processed there. Now looking at the chart it says next to the processing time Feb. 27, 2012. Does that mean they haven't processed any since that date or that they are now working on the papers that they received around that date? They received my papers mid May so it's now been about four months. I was hoping I'd be hearing from them soon but after seeing that chart last night I got very disappointed I am just wondering if anyone here is in the same boat. If you've forwarded your papers to Vermont around the same time and if you heard back from them yet? This waiting period is killing me Thanks to anyone for replying. It seems Vermont is speeding up, but what I don't understand is how cases that were filed AFTER us are being approved BEFORE ours. USCIS Service Centers	july cr-1 filers	Just to make you feel better, the petition that arrived to Vermont after 15th August got sent to other offices so some of them got approved faster (not fair I know). Also whenever we call USCIS we talk to someone that sees the same screen we do when we visit USCIS's website. If you want to read some good news, just check the timelines here on VJ. Today I read of someone from 11th June getting approved! Isn't that a better new than 28th May? We've got so far and waited so long and we're so close to the end of this journey, don't let depression and sadness get you! Hugs! Thanks for the encouraging words That's actually what makes me so upset- the fact that INSTEAD of sending the "many many millions" of files that are causing the backlog (May/ June/ July) to be processed at the NBC, they decided, "No, it's more fun to send whichever other files that arrived after". USCIS Service Centers	july cr-1 filers	is there any ANY good news at all from or about the vermont service center for us? torture is supposed to be against the law in the united states (vermont service center) enough said!!!!!! the company i work for makes the cables n connectors that go into the most powerful fighter jet we have,one of the cables is for its computer system which can handle 60gigabytes of info in 9seconds,i wish we could make a cable n connectors for the USCIS and THE VERMONT SERVICE CENTER maybe they would start to adjudicate petitions in a more decent amount of time for everyone,insted of torturing us all!!when all we all wanna do is be with the partners of our hearts!!!! just waiting and praying for us and also everyone else!!!!! If there's a time in my life when I've been sad, this is it. We just called USCIS today and were told that they were still working on May 28th 2012!!!! And when we mentioned that we knew some August/ September filers who've been approved...as usual they said that "every case is treated differently from the other". BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! USCIS Service Centers	WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH VSC?	California is pumping out 6-7 approvals a day and there are working in Jan and Feb. While VSC is November - December and doing about 3 approvals a day.......... These people dont have a clue of what it feels like being away from someone you love i take it..........let one of those office worker give their wife or husband a final hug and kiss and leave with the thought of when you will see them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I know it can be frustrating but you need to be strong. Our petition stayed at VSC for 8 months before we were approved yet we could see people getting approved in 2-3 months!!! The worst thing is no matter how many calls you make or who you approach (we talked to the Congressman), it doesn't really make a difference. Just hang in there, it will happen soon. Happy holidays to you all Just wanted to break the silence So, in the process of getting acquainted with my new home and switching from British English (in Kenya, we call it the Queen's language) to American English...I've learnt from my fiancé that the word 'thrice' does not exist in American English...you say 'three times' and the pronunciation of 'squirrels' is so different from Kenyan pronunciation Ha ha!!!! I feel you girl!!! The first time I used the word "thrice" Tim looked at me almost in dismay,like wth? I couldn't believe he didn't know what the word "thrice" meant,lol!!! Even Lionel Ritchie's song goes "Once,twice,three times a lady...." go figure It's also weird how he doesn't necessarily think about the articles 'a' and 'an'-it's like 'whatever!!!' And it's not just him,his sisters too. Now that i'm paying closer attention, many Americans speak this way. Example "a apple". Seriously... 'queue' is simply 'line' to them. 'Boot' is 'trunk'. 'Dust bin' is 'trash can'. 'Supermarket' is 'store'. They don't say 'serviettes', they say 'napkins'. OMG!!!! So much to get used to!!! Hey all....it has been a really long time since we posted on this thread.....we are one of the original starters of this thread back three years ago.....just wanted to give you all hope and know that the journey will one day end.....my husband passed his citizenship/naturalization interview today!!!!! We only have the oath ceremony left to be sworn in.......we should get the date in the mail soon. So, stay encouraged and persistent and positive and patient!!!!! The process will come to an end one day........you just have to go through each phase step-by-step.......always tell the truth and be consistent about all your answers.....you are asked the same things at every step of the way and you should ensure that you answer the same replies every time. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I GOT MY INTERVIEW!!!!! Yay!!!	Congrats on your interview date Meera! On the pdf document that the NVC sent you about your interview there should be a checklist of documents. Carry all originals that weren't submitted to them. Organize your files in packets. Basically carry a copy of ALL paperwork sent the to the NVC so they can give you back your originals. Include your appointment letter,copy of DS-230,2 passport photos,massive evidence proving your genuine relationship. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I 130 July 2012 Filers	After a waiting period of almost 8 months, the VSC finally sent NOA2 for both of my I-130s on 3/10/2013! NOA1 was 7/19/2012, so this has been quite a test of my patience. I'm very happy to be moving forward in the process! This should give hope to the rest of you July 2012 petitioners who are still waiting for NOA2. Congrats to you guys!!!!!! Our NOA1 date is July 16th, we've noticed that some early, mid & late July filers at Vermont have been getting approved. My husband and I are so TIRED of waiting; it's worn us both out. Philippines	Yepey!!! Visa Approved!!!	Im very happy now!!! Wow.. Finally I will be with my Love soon..:-) I had my interview yesterday Sept. 17.. my appointment schedule is at 7:30am. Me and my Son got there 6:35am. We went right away to the guard coz there is no queue for the immigrant/fiance visas. He ask for our passport, appointment letter and DS forms. He told me to enter in the 3rd door. it was the xray machines. security check. Then We went outside, there was 3 booth.. I waited for my turn. She ask for my forms with the appointment letter and she gave it back to me, with my queuing number. We take our seats and waited. at around 7am our number flashed on the board. for finger printing. Left hand first except the thumb then right hand. lastly my thumbs. you will state your full name and birthdate. waiting again.. but we enjoyed watching TV, cartoon network while waiting. Around 9:30 our number flash again. for the Filipino Consulate. I greeted him and He greeted us nicely. He ask me to help him organize our papers, so he ask me for my receipt first and my BC, NBI, Cenomar and my Fiance's I-134 and 2011 ITR (1040 and W2). He DID NOT get the 2010 ITR, pay stubs, employment letter, bank statements... Then He ask for my Son's receipt and BC. QUestions: - Me and my Sons name and bday. - How did we meet with my fiance? - When was the last time we met in person. He ask if we have pictures, its in an Album so i just showed it to him. Then he told me to show it to the American Consul too. He DID NOT ask for evidences of our ongoing relationships.. I have with me ( YM chat logs, emails, skype call logs (print screen) , remittances ) Around 10:45am, our number flash again. for the American Consul. I greeted him with a big Smile and He greeted me too and ask how am i doin.. hehe His nice too.. though I heard some applicant that he denied.. He scan for my finger print then swear to tell the truth. Questions: -My name and bday - My petitioners name - My relationship with my petitioner. - His job. - Where is he working right now. - If i am working and What. - how did we meet? - If we meet in person and what we did. - and who is the kid beside me.. hehe.. My Son.. And He told us our papers are okay and we got approved!! Yepey!!! So happy... and he said Goodluck!! I told him Thank you so Much!! He DID NOT ask for our pictures or evidence of ongoing relationship. He told us to wait for our number again. so we wait another few minutes. They called us by name this time.. Window 70. He said that they will just mail our visa. no need to go to window 69?, if im not mistaken.. hehe.. Hope to get my visa within this week. Wow!! Our interview went so smooth and easy!! Thank God.. We went to Quiapo Church the day before and attend the Mass even if its been raining and flooding everywhere.. But its all worth it.. I Do BELIEVE in PRAYERS!! Congrats Alohababes!!!
