Russia, Ukraine and BelarusBank statements, Moscow
If in the unlikely case that they actually look at your I-134, just a letter from the bank manager stating when you opened your account and total deposits for the last year was plenty fine for me. I asked the consulate what they wanted exactly. Then after scrambling to pull it all together, they didnt even look at it!! It is not unusual for them to ignore the I-134, it is only something they can ask for, you are not even required to send it, but of course it is a good idea to have it all there for them. Hope this helps!

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusVisa Pick-up at DHL Office
Hi Larry! The family is fine. Had a little bit of a tough time with homesickness, but we got through it together. 8 months already, wow! How is your family now? BTW everyone, I gambled and bought my wife's tickets ahead of time. Her interview was 20 dec and dhl received her visa on 22 dec. But they screwed up and sent it to another office even though we asked them to hold it. After some panicked calls we tracked it down and she went to pick it up on 23 dec, she was flying out 14 hours later, wheww! Listen to Skinsfan, he knows his stuff, helped me with alot of questions before my lady's interview.

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusRecent Moscow Interview Questions?
Only took 2 days for my wife to get her passport back after the interview. She only had 3 questions, my name, how we met, has she seen me in person. She said it was 5 minutes maximum, and the middle aged lady spoke shaky russian to her, even though she could speak english. I took some advice from skinsfan and contacted my congressman about it, he sent a letter to the embasy about 2 weeks before the interview about how he was watching out for a smooth process for us. It must have worked!!!

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusTrip to Kazan
Dont worry about Kazan, although the city has about a million for population, crime is relatively low. My brother in-law is a local militia man there. October should be pretty nice, about the same as Chicago. Enjoy your trip, and tour the local Kremlin, it is interesting!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3 vs CR1 with child
Go the k3 route, my wife was here for 4 months before the i-130 was approved. The visa is $100 for the k3, and the k4 child is free when traveling with the mother. Also you wont need another i-130 for the kid, and adjustment of status if different too, once here, k3 will be $1000, and k4 will be $600. Dont worry! Get the visa first, it will cover them both, then worry about AOS after they are here for a while. You can put off AOS until 90 days before the expiration of the visa, which is two years from the interview. GO K3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
