Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-130 application
What im finding after a second look into the required documentation for i-130 and g325a is that they are not requesting birth certificates. They request petitioner's citizenship verification and our marriage. Certificate, and other items but not birth certificates. Unless im missing it??

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-130 application
sorry if i'm posting in wrong area. glad i could find this website. i'm in the process of completing I-130 for my wife. i am naturalized citizen. trying to save as much money as possible and doing as much as i can of the application process on my own. my question/s is/are what is acceptable foreign documents translation for USCIS. in other words per instructions on filling out I-130, foreign documents such as birth certificates must be tranlsated into English. I am fully capable of translating this document for my wife.i even have a tier II english/spanish bilingual certificate. instructions don't say anything about translated documents needing to be notarized, but need to be certified by person translating that the translation is accurate. so, would i be able to make the translation or would i need the services of a professional? also, would my birth certificate need to be translated or just my wife's . thanks so much for any assistance i can get. the cost for translations is $50 and i could really use that money for other things if possible. thanks again.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)i-130 with planned i-601a
asked this in other section of forum but was referred here for more info. just wwnt to be sure i understand i understand the petition process correctly. i was under erroneous impression that the visa processing fee meant the i-130 process. i got that clarified by someone on this website. so, i submitted i130 petition for spouse. i am citizen. i submitted nothing else since she is not eligible adjustment of status due to entering without inspection. do i wait on i130 to be approved and then NVC will notify me that i need to pay for visa process? is there a separate applic
ation i have to submit at that point when paying for visa processing? i know i-601a cant be submitted yet, but where will they be sent once march 4 comes? thanks for any guidance i can get.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)medical examination
My brother in law, in the same situation was told he has to get a letter from a medicals professional affirming that the tb shot from Mexico and the tb test in US will create a positive test eventhough the test is not positive. ....is this sound right? Im still thinking that bottom line, one has to verify that one does not have tb....

Thanks for reply. Since she came.to US without inspection she is not eligible to apply for adjustment of status until a waiver is approved. Thats why only the i130 was sent. She is in the US presently and she will eventually be going to Juarez, Mx. For her consular appointment, once i601a is approved. She plans on staying in US of course. I was just wondering about medical examination and positive tb test. Thanks.

Hello. Can anyone share any knowlwdge or experience on the required medical examination. I am petitioning for my wife. I-130 has been accepted and is in process. I am citizen and she is presently in US and came without inspection.

I understand there is eventually the requirement for a medical exam she has to have. she was tested for.tb at one time during.a.pregnancy and tested positive. But she had her tb shot in mexico and it is said that that is why she tested positive??? Can someone shed some light on this particular situation...id really appreciate it. Thanks.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurespaid immigrant visa processing fee??

No the immigrant visa fee is paid to the NVC after your approved petition is sent there. It's also called the IV bill or IV fee.

thanks soo much for reply! so at this point:

i wait for i-130 decision from USCIS

if approved, they forward to NVC.

NVC notifies me that i need to pay a certain amount for visa processing?

i pay that fee and then let them know that i will be filing i-601a

is there a separate application that needs to be filed as i make that visa payment in which i am applying for a visa?

i know i-601a cannot be filed until after 3/4/13, but do we know yet where they will be going?

thanks again for the help.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurespaid immigrant visa processing fee??
So i just wanted to clarify something, which may seem minute, but it is kicking me in the rear. As i read instructions on submitting i-130 with intentions to file for i-601a, provisional stateside waiver, the procedure states to notify NVC as soon as i have "paid the immigrant visa processing fee". is the immigrant visa petition, application, or how ever you want to call it, the actual i-130 petition?? i want to be sure i am not leaving anything out as i submit i-130, petition for spouse. i actually mailed off the i-130 yesterday. if i understand correctly, i wasn't supposed to file anything else, such as the 480, since she came in country without inspection and would not be eligible for file for adjustment of status concurrently with i-130, correct? . is there a how to guidelone on this website to follow for the new i-601a procedure...sorry if missed it already. thanks a bunch all.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat type of visa am I?
Ok, well this makes more sense. From.what little i found so far i gathered that i cannot file for a visa so therefore is the reason i only filed i-130, with nothing else but g325a for self and spouse. Your responses make sense being that your saying there is no visa i can apply for UNTIL a waiver is approved...so IF, waiver is approved, is there a particular visa category that would apply for this type of case?

Our i-130 was accepted and is now under review process. From this point out, what should i expect given this situation? Will the i-130 be treated like any other i-130? Any ideas, comments, experiences you can share ade greatly appreciated.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat type of visa am I?
sorry if posting in wrong area. i'm just a little confused. the type of visas that one can apply for such as k-1, k-3, ir-1/cr-1 are all for applicants who are overseas. i a petitioning for my wife, who entered without inspection. she is here in U.S. i am us citizen. i submitted i-130 already and petition was accepted by uscis. all i know is that at some point i will be submitting the i-601a, stateside waiver. but my question is:

what type of category does my petition fall under?

what are the guidelines that i should follow?

now that i-130 has been accepted, what is next, besides waiting?

what are the documents we are going to need for the next step so we may start preparing?

so far my research indicates that after approval of i-130 i should be filing i-864, affidavit of support, i believe, but is that all? is there a certain guide line for my situation someone can refer me so i get some sort of understanding what to expect..sorry if i missed it already. i'll keep looking in the meantime. thanks soo much.
