Yep, leave those blank that won't fit and use blue ink preferably, black if you have no choice. In another thread there was a problem with the black ink looking like a photocopy/scan so blue ink is the safest.

Hello, I'm a US citizen (in the US) & my wife (a foreigner outside the US) [no kids] {Indonesia} and we are going through the CR1/IR1. We just received I-130 approval & I want to clarify my understanding of what's next and how to make things go as fast & smoothly as possible:

- My understanding is that we will both be mailed the DS-3032. - as soon as I can get the case number by calling the NVC automated line, then we can use a website to generate the barcode, & fill out & send the DS-3032 (if I have her signature) . . . or alternatively she can email it.

- When I receive the AOS (I-864) I send that out ASAP with the $88 fee or pay it online (which I'll do). I believe I read that if I pay the fee online, I get access to the barcode and can then send the I-864 out right away. Otherwise, alternatively, I would pay the fee via mail and then receive the I-864 Petitioner Packet and then send out the I-864. Is my understanding here correct?

- As I will be the Agent, I will also receive the IV Bill and pay it online as well

- As the Agent, I will then receive and send out the DS-230 and any necessary documentation

Questions:

- Once I pay the IV Bill, do I need to wait for the DS-230 Package or can I just send out the DS-230 as soon as I've paid the IV Bill? (Or can I even send out the DS-230 earlier?)

- Actually, What is the IV Bill (IV Application Processing Fee)? I've looked at the fee charts and am not sure. Would we fall under the $330 "Immediate relative and family preference applications" fee?

K1 Denial & Trip to the Consular

My finance's interview was Monday and the K1 Visa was denied. I was unable to attend the interview was obviously a huge mistake. The paperwork is still at the office in Casablanca. All paperwork was complete the reason was they don't believe legitimacey of the relationship even though we have 100's of pictures of us together. Does anybody know if they consular office would see me or talk to me or let me Fed ex all of the paperwork back to the USCIS if were to fly to Morocco next week? Has anybody ever tried to plead a case by showing up unexpectedly? I was told it could be 8 weeks till the paperwork returns to the USCIS.

Now everything at NVC is taking time due to backlog. So keep the I-864 and DS-230 documents ready and you should be able to file papers pretty quickly once you get your NVC case number physically entered into the system (at this point you will get IIN). Current wait times are erratic and anywhere between 20 - 50 days from getting I-130 approval to NVC Case # & IIN. I think now NVC is acknowleding the receipt of case and the taking time to give NVC Case numbers and then taking time again to enter into the system - it used to be 7 - 10 days (approval to getting NVC Case number) and 2 - 3 days (physically entering the case in the system) in the past (prior to July 4th).

You can do nothing - keep checking the AVR message and also call an Operator daily till your case in entered into the system.

forms so for now I just check back dailey trying to get invoice number.

You are lucky guy - got your NVC Case number quickly. You need Invoice Identification Number from NVC (Call them) to pay the AOS fee (USD 88.00), as and when it shows up. Then when the fee status changes to "PAID", print the cover sheet with bar code and then send the I-864 documents (AOS) to NVC - check the links given below)

Meanwhile the foreigh spouse can send DS-3032 nominating the US spouse - you can use the email format (check this link- http://www.visajourn...il_DS-3032_form). I called NVC and ladie says no invoice number for about 2 weeks..I have the I-864 filled out.
paycheck stubs printed.bank statements printed..past 3 years taxes..
ds3032 filled in already..
ds230 part 1 & 2 filled in already.
when the forms generate & are mailed
At some point I get bar codes and thats

You will get your NOA2 hard copy in the mail.Your file will be forwarded to NVC.
Wait until you get the NOA2 in the mail and start calling NVC.

There is a couple of very good guids in this forum walking you through the NVC steps. Just search for them on the search window. This guid shows you what docs you need to get togather and send
