They kept saying she hadnt paid and she ended up having to get a printed receipt confirmation and mailing it in. Then it was fixed in the NVC system. Ask for a receipt and if they dont give it to you then report the attorney to the board of bar overseers. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DR FEES	Actually the change of status application fee for the I-485 is $1,070, here is the link: I-485 on USCIS website Also, the visa fee is $350 broken up into 2 parts one paid at Banco Popular for $140 plus taxes etc like Mr. Tee said and $210 on your interview day plus taxes and fees. The medical exam is still at $180 plus vaccines which just went up $1 more is now at $110. So I am a little confused.. Pero este processo me tiene loca.. For those of you that have had their interview scheduled recently, how long does it take before they actually give you the date from the moment they receive the packet. When I called the number yesterday they told that my case was there adn in the systems but that it could take anywhere from 5 days to 2 MONTHS for them to schedule the interview. Accordign to everythign I have read, the approved petition is forwarded to the NVC adn thento the consulate in DR. My petition was approved on May 6th and I have been calling NVC for a week and they keep telling me they do not have it. Today someone tells me that they have up to 90 days to receive the petition.. Umm well the approval is only valid until Septemer 6th... So I called VSC and they told me my petition was forwarded to consulate not to NVC.. Should I be calling the consulate to check? I also asked them all these question and the VS explained. She told me the same thing, not to worry about packet3 because we might not need it.
