K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresexamples of forms filled out???
hi everyone, i just found this website today and i have to say i'm very grateful i found it. the information i will gather from this site will be amazing. i tried looking for my answers on the forums already but couldn't find any, so i apologize if its been asked before......

i'm filing the k3 visa for my wife, and i was just wondering if there are any 'sample' forms that are filled out just so i can see how it should look? also i was wondering if anyone has any examples of the Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties.... because our family and friends are wanting to write some for us, but are not quite sure how to write them or what to put in.

thank u so much for any help u can give me, and i'm sure i'm going to be asking a lot more questions on here very soon.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFew questions about removing conditions/i-751
Hi everyone! Me and my wife will be mailing form i-751 on march 3rd to remove her conditional status. I just have a few questions that I hope everyone could help me with

1. On the instructions for the i-751 it says I need to mail a copy of her Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Card (green card). I had heard before that it should be the actual original card. So do I mail the green card or just a copy of it???

2. The $590 fee, can I just use a personal check from Wells Fargo for that?

3. Is form i-751 the only USCIS form I have to mail?

4. I am an authorized user for my wife's credit card (a credit card with the same card number with my name). On the credit card website it doesn't have a place for me to print showing that. So should we just photocopy the 2 credit cards (one with her name and the other with my name) on a paper? Is that allowed/safe?

If I think of any more questions I'll be sure to ask more, ha ha ha
Thanks for helping us!!!

thank you guys so much for the help, i'm sure i'll be posting more questions in the near future, ha ha ha

do you have to finish the CFO class before you get your visa? My wife hasn't gotten her passport yet, so do we get her passport and then go to the CFO? or do we go to the CFO and then get her passport? Where do we get a passport? thank you for anyone who can help me figure this out :)

Philippinespolice certificate vs. police clearance
Hi, I have a question for everybody.
I know that we need police clearances, but in Tabaco they said that they won't give my wife a police clearance because she hasn't lived there for awhile (she lived there when she was 6 years old until she was 17 years old, she's 26 now). But the police in Castilla said that they could still give a police certificate. Would a police certificate still work??? I'm very very confused. Me and my wife will be doing a DCF for a CR visa (married only for a year). Any info you give us would be greatly appreciated. If everything goes well, we're going to start the petition at the end of November :)

Philippinesphilippines passport question??
I'm a little confused at the moment with the Philippines passport.

on embassy of the U.S. Manila website it says......

"1. PASSPORT: Each visa applicant must have a passport valid for at least six (6) months from the time of the visa issuance. Filipino citizens can apply for a passport at the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA), Aseana Business Park, Bradco Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Paranaque City. Applicants may set an appointment by going on line at www.passport.com.ph or by calling 02-737-1000. "

I'm confused about the valid for 6 months part. Does that mean, for example, that if my wife got her passport in January that we'd have to wait until June before we could petition??? or does it mean that there has to be at least 6 months remaining before her passport expires??? I'm very confused about this and any help you can give would be tremendous.

THANK YOU!!

hello hello.
me and my wife will finally be dcf in december...... but i just want to ask a few questions now all in one post so i don't have to make a million, ha ha ha.

1. my father will be our sponsor. so he will be doing a i-864..... does he have to mail it to us once he finishes filling it out, or can he just fax/email it to us (along with the w-2 and tax return)

2. how long does it take to get packet 3? can we already fill out and submit those papers when we apply to shorten our time?

3. what do we have to pay when we go and submit the i-130?

4. how long would you guess before her visa is approved? (cr-1 visa, since we've only been married one year)

5. how do i keep my mangoes fresher longer? ha ha ha...... jk

thank you for all your help. hopefully soon i'll be the one who is giving advice and not asking for it :)

Philippinesdcf evidence mishap, need opinion
hi, me and my wife just did a dcf last Thursday. it went pretty smooth for the most part... I paid for it, i got my receipt, but we have to mail in 2 pieces of additional evidence (rental contract, employment of certificate). so when we got home, we were just looking through our copies of the evidence that we gave them and i noticed something..... one of my pieces of evidence i gave them, my application of registration for my TIN# (BIR) that I've had since August, has the wrong year for my birthday, my bday year is 1986, but it says 1984... the year of my wife's bday.

Anyways, i was wondering if when i send the additional information on Monday, should i send a letter explaining the situation what happened with that piece of evidence? I'm very worried and i don't want any delays or to be rejected. please please, what should i do?????? :help:

Philippinesds-230 question for dcf
Hi everyone. me and my wife will be sending out form ds-230 tomorrow (we're doing dcf), but I have a question with one of the questions

question #30 states "List below all places you have lived for at least 6 months since reaching the age of 16..."

the problem is, since my wife was 16 she has lived in 3 places for less than 3 months. But on the G325a we sent, it didn't say anything about the six months so we put it. So, should we not put the places she lived at less than 3 months and have it look different than the G325a, or should we still include the ones that were fewer than 6 months.

thank you to anyone who helps out with this question.............. we're so close

Philippinestip for chest x-ray...

Does soymilk work as well?

Philippinestip for chest x-ray...
hi. My wife recently just took her medical exam, and thank goodness she passed. And we think we owe it all to sterilized milk! you see, my wife had TB when she was younger (she underwent treatment and is totally fine), and it left a small scar on her left lung. We were so worried that she would have to do a sputum because of the scar. Her mother told us that if you drink milk, it will hide the scar. so my wife drank milk 2 times a day for about a week before our medical exam. and to our amazement, there was no scar on the x-ray!!!! it was incredible!!! so if anyone has the medical exam coming up and are worried about this....... maybe a glass of milk will help you :pop:

Philippinesds-230 and interview items.....
hi hi, on April 1st we finally have our final interview!!! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. But I just have a couple of questions left...
Me and my wife are doing a DCF for a CR-1 visa. I'm currently here and will be present at the interview.

1. Do we have to bring another copy of the ds-230 to the interview? We mailed it with packet 3, so will they have that copy there for us? I'm a little confused about it.

2. We are bringing the following items (as it says we should): I-864 (me and co-sponsor), old emails/letters/receipts, marriage certificate, birth certificate, NBI clearance, photos, bank account statement, house contract (usa)................ do you see something we're missing? I've read the lists a dozen times before, but I just want to know if you spot something else we could bring to help.

3. Besides the I-864, are there any more forms we have to bring?

thanks for any help or insight you can give us. I'm just really anxious and I want to make sure I dot my i's and cross my t's.

hopefully my last question :D

thanks

Philippinesour Interview experience today (DCF / CR-1)

That's Cool.

But once you get to America and been here a little while, you will understand how you got ripped off and screwed by the Immigration System.

We have over 20 milliions Illegals Aliens and thousand crossing the border illegally each day, who come her and bring in drugs, crime, poverty and they are basically immune from the law and police will not touch them.

We pay all this money and jump thru all these hoops to get our loved ones in to the USA, and these Illegals circumvent the system and get rewarded with US Citizenship

Our Immigration Systems is seriously flawed.........

I agree 100%

congratulations!

I am still waiting for my interview and I am nervous now, and ur post made me feel a lil confident and calm.
I am planning to have my husband beside me but i guess that will make me more nervous.
Youre right im gona bring all sorts of evidence and documents. it's pretty safe to be loaded of evidences than leaving the embassy with a grim on the face.

good luck to both of you!

Thanks. Yes, don't be nervous. And I think it will help a lot that your husband will be there. Just bring lots of stuff, just in case.

Congratulation on your approval! Small world.. my husband is from Salt Lake City, Utah too! :)

Utah Jazz fan? :)

congratulationsPosted Image and best wishes to your future life in the US.
only thing i noticed though, i dont understand why USEManila let people come as early as 4am when they dont open till 630 or open or start interviewing 730 or 8?
I just find it so stupid to let people hang out outside the area that early. i have never seen that in Bahrain or heard it in other country i knew of.
they let you schedule interview online and show time available you can select and strictly ask you to be there an hour before otherwise appointment will be considered cancelled.
hay....one of the things that happens only in the philippines lol

yeah, i think it's strange too. My wife said maybe it's because some filipinos are often late, lol.

i got a little confuse. i thought visa payment is done days before the interview at a bpi branch, please enlighten me

That's true..... for a K visa. But you don't pay at the BPI if you are doing a CR-1.

Philippinesour Interview experience today (DCF / CR-1)
We arrived at the Embassy at around 5:15am. We had to wait in a big line for awhile before they finally let us in. Make sure you have your appointment letter with you. Then you fall in line to get your number for the day (ours was 6052) After you get done with all the lines and metal detectors, you sit and you wait.

While waiting, you must pay close attention to the numbers on the board. It's very easy to see, but some people were lazy and weren't watching, which made some of the embassy workers mad at those people. So when they showed our number, we went to window 55. The man gave us a paper and told us to go to the 2nd floor to pay. for our visa, we had to pay 17776pesos. After that, we went back down, our number flashed for window 55 again. So we go there, they ask to see our ds-230, marriage certificate, birth certificate, i-864, and NBI. He asked a few extremely simple questions, then he said good luck and go sit down and wait for our number to be shown for the fingerprint scan.

Then we sit down, wait again (while watching the same thing on CNN over and over). Our number then came up, we go there and do the fingerprint thing. Something funny was that my wife was nervous, and when he asked her to do her left hand, she did her right one, lol. The guy just smiled and told her to be calm, he was also kind. So after that, he said go sit down and wait for you number for the final interview.

Finally, our number is called. We were so anxious and excited! So go over to the window. and the man instantly smiles and greets us. At that point I knew it would be okay. He was so kind to us! So he asked us a few questions, we talked about Pepperidge Farm cookies (I work for them in the USA), he asked me who was our co-sponsor. He then opened up our I-130 packet, and looked at the photos from the I-130. He didn't even ask to see the other hundred pictures that we had brought, ha ha. Then he asked a few more simple questions and said "everything looks good, your visa is approved". Then my wife was so happy she said, "Can I jump for joy now?" the man just laughed and said yes. Then he said that we looked like a really nice couple, lol. Then he said to wait for our number again for receiving our visa.

After our number was called again, we went and filled out a form with our address, and then they said they would mail it within a week. we were done by 10:15am.

Everyone there was super friendly and professional.

*tips.
-have your interview early! I felt bad for the tons of people waiting outside in the hot sun.
-Even though they didn't even look at our evidence, still bring a lot just in case. We heard someone getting scolded for only brining one photo.
-Pay attention to your numbers and just be respectful the entire time and it will be great!

Hello! This is one of my concerns too. We are still waiting for our NOA2 and we feel that it will be anytime soon since we reached the 5-month mark. PhilippinesPOE and clothes

I doubt that they are going to look at your jeans. If you bring a dozen unwarn jeans than that migth be a problem if they take a look at your luggage cause than that seems like you are bringing it over to sell. If you are just bringing your own clothes than real or counterfeit I don't think it makes a difference.

so if it's for our own personal, and not for selling, then we'll be okay? I think she has 5 or 6 pairs of the counterfeit jeans. i don't know why we feel so paranoid about this, ha ha.
jswalker86MalePhilippines2011-04-22 02:32:00
PhilippinesPOE and clothes
Hi everyone, well me and my wife will be leaving the Philippines for Utah on June 4! But I have a question about what can be brought through our POE (our POE is salt lake city international airport)

As you all know, tiangge is a common thing here. And they more often than not sell counterfeit clothing. My concern is that a lot of the jeans my wife has were bought from the tiangge (greenhills tiangge to be exact). I was wondering if we were going to have any problems with those jeans if they decided to check our luggage? I believe her jeans say they are either 'guess' or 'levi'. Is there anyway they can tell if it's counterfeit or not? I'd hate to get this close and then all of a sudden have something happen at the POE.

Thanks for your help!
