Wow thank you guys so much for all of that incredible information. You are right, we don't have very much 'shared' supporting info at the moment such as insurance and shared bank accounts, but we sure do have a lot of pictures and phone records and things like that. I will be sending a substantial amount of that along with all the necessary stuff.

As far as the address thing, I was just mostly concerned with the pickiness I have heard about, and didn't want any delays. Since the form said 'number and street' I wasn't sure if I should put the info I have or not directly on it, or add an attachment of some sort.

Ok, once again, thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart and hers. I will be posting again as soon as I have the packet ready to send, or if I have more questions. :)

Ok, I added a Timeline and I think I edited everything properly. She is from Costa Rica and I am obviously from here in the good ol U S of A. I hope that helps. I really am very nervous about all of this. Especially with the lack of a solid address. I am worried they aren't going to understand that her address is 300 meters south of the church, the black and green house.

Definitely positive thoughts sent your way today.

Awesome, that is all wonderfully helpful. I am incredibly nervous about this whole process, and I don't want to mess anything up in the slightest and cause a delay. I think I might see about using her sisters address, as she lives in the city and is more likely to have a street name and house number. My wife is just finishing her job as a live in nanny and therefore doesn't really have a permanent address at the moment anyway.

Also, her name didn't change once we got married. Should I still put it down as her current name, and then maiden name as well?

Any other advice you can think of with the initial I-130 packet? Since we don't have any kids and have never lived together I am going to have to go with the sworn letters from friends. Should I not use family with this, and is it okay to include wedding pictures?

Thank you again for the help, this is apparently a long and difficult process. I hope yours comes to a close soon, it's already difficult on us and we just started, I can't imagine how it is for you :(

Hello all,

I am beginning the I-130 and I have a couple questions....

First off, the Roman Alphabet. On the forms it speaks of typing using the Roman alphabet, which I am, however her name and city of birth have accent marks in them. Should These be placed on the form, or no? For instance, her last name is Rodríguez. Should I include an accented I or no?
Also, she is hispanic and has the typical dual last name thing going on. Do I include both on here, or should one go in the maiden name section?

Second, the Address. Where she lives, the addresses are very different. They don't have house numbers, nor according to her, street names. Her address is the name of her neighborhood, and a description of the color of her house and where it is located in relation to the nearest grocery store. Has anyone had any experience with this, maybe could help enlighten me here?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, we just got married April 6th and I miss her dearly. :(

For the I-129F form, the instructions say: If extra space if needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, indicate the item number, and date and sign each sheet.

Well that would make sense! I imagine it is the same for the 130, which I forgot to mention is the form I am competing. Thanks!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAddress, Example Forms, and Evidence

Hello!  I am nearing the stage where I will send off my packet, and I have a few questions to ask.

1.  It may seem a silly question, but my wife's address does not fit in the place provided!  What do I do?

2. How accurate are the example forms?  There are a couple spots where the 'nones' and N/A's look questionable, at least on the I-130.

3.  Since my wife and I have pretty much nothing of joint ownership, what more should I include for evidence?  I was going to provide my bank statements showing purchasing of airline tickets and cell phone payments, my cell phone bills for at least the last 90 days (that's all the have them for) showing all the calls made, facebook conversations since the beginning of our relationship (just some samples) and pictures from our wedding.  What else would you all recommend?

Thank you ahead of time for the responses, I really appreciate it!

Do they need to be real, or can I print them from Facebook?  If real, how should I attach them?
