VietnamFiance Pregnant
My wife got here in the U.S. in February 2008. She came here on a K-1 visa. She interviewed in November of 2007. She was pregnant at time of interview. My fiance received a blue paper first. I was there at the interview and then I submitted the additional documents the next day. I received a green paper. They stated that we had to have a 3 way DNA test done. I told them that that was unreasonable and they would hear from my attorney. GOD BLESS MARC ELLIS. The man is an absolute savior! My wife would have never got here before our son was born if it was not for him! I will owe him forever! NEVER BACK DOWN FROM THESE PEOPLE. KEEP ON KEEPING ON. JUST RESEMBLE A HEMMORHOID AND BUG THE HELL OUT OF THEM!

I received my first NOA on April 6, 2007. I have been waiting ever since. Man this process sucks!! Anyway, I am leaving for Vietnam on July 20! Friday i will be there with my beloved until she goes to interview! I am hoping we will be home in the states by Christmas! Anyone think this is too far fetched? I think everything moves quite a bit faster once the NVC receives everything? Ideas appreciated!!!

Asia: East and PacificI introduced a friend/coworker to my wifes sister
I would go into the interview with a positive attitude and only talk the truth and be able to back everything up in writing and also have your Congressman aware of your situation before you even file the petition, or shortly after. I am currently doing this process and I think that if you were introduced by Family members who thought enough of you to introduce you to a member of their family, then that is a very honorable thing. Don't worry about it!!

It was my neighbors Niece. And I believe honesty is the best policy. If there is trouble with her visa, then we will provide what they want and rectify the situation. But thank you for your view points.

Asia: East and PacificIntroduction from Fiance's relatives?
Just had a question, who on VJ have been introduced to their future wives from their Fiance's Vietn amese relatives. With the Petitioner being of American descent and the Fiance being of Viet namese descent. I do not believe this would be a problem, I believe that saying that you met randomly online would be worse than your Fiance's relatives thinking highly enough of you to introduce you to a member of their family. Just my opinion. I have known my Fiance's Aunt for 12 years. She lived right next door to me for 10 years! I have evidence to prove the neighbor thing. I am traveling to Viet nam in July to stay with my Fiance and have become certified to teach English as a foreign language and we will rent a house and live together until this Visa process is completed. Anyone think we should mention that I have moved to VN to be with her and have been teaching and living together, or do you all think this is a bad idea? Anyones input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and I am very glad that there are many success stories out there! I am also disgusted with all disater and heart breaking stories as well.Right now we are waiting on NOA2. I will also be teaching my Fiance English so she will be very prepared for the interview. My Father is a Viet nam war veteran and accompanied me to VN. We had a Formal Engagement Ceremony at her house and we were greeted by all of her Family (Including her 87 year old Grandmother). We have the Ceremony captured in video as well as an entire photo album of the guests and my family and hers together.

Asia: East and PacificGot an interview date!!!!
Well, I am getting ready to go to Viet nam again in November. This will be my 3rd trip there in 8 months time. The last time I was there was from July 22nd until September 10. My first trip was in March and we were there for 2 and a half weeks. We had the engagement ceremony then and my Father who is a Viet nam war veteran accompanied me to Viet nam and attended the ceremony along with my Fiance's parents. I was introduced to my Fiance through her Aunt who is Viet namese and she lived next door to me for 12 years. That is the only problem that I foresee. I hope everything goes well for us on November 26, 2007. I think that honesty is the only way to go and we will not lie about anything and anything and everything that she can tell them can be backed on notarized paper. My income is also very good and there will not be an issue with that. I am excited and have been working very hard to prepare everything for my lovely wife to be to come home with me!! Wish us all luck and this website is great for everyone going through the process. GOD BE WITH US AND BLESS US WHEN WE NEED HIM!!!!

Asia: East and Pacific11 Days until interview day!!!
11 days and my fiance and I will be heading to the Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City! We are preparing and praying for the PINK! I am leaving for the interview on Sunday in the US. I've got 7 days to prepare her for the interview. I am hoping for the best. This will be my 3rd trip to Viet nam in 8 months. I met her from introduction from her aunt here in the states as I have known her for about twelve years now. My Father who is a decorated Viet nam War Veteran accompanied me to Viet nam to meet her and attended the engagement ceremony along with her Mother and Father. I then returned to Viet nam on July 22, 2007 and stayed with her until Sept. 11, 2007. During that time I was teaching her English as I am a certified TEFL teacher. I also spent alot of time with her extended family while I was there. Also during that time I was there we found out that we are expecting and the baby is due in May of 2008!! We all hope that everything works out for the best. I prepared all of her paperwork myself and submitted everything they asked for and I have a paper trail for everything they might throw at her at the interview. I've heard stories about this Consulate both good and bad and if there are any troubles then perhaps I can rectify them while I am there. Our case is very clear, neither one of us has ever been married before, neither one of us have any children yet, and neither of us has ever been in any legal trouble, and my income is more than enough to support her and our new child. Both sides parents attended the engagement ceremony. I want everyone to know here on this website that I could not have known as much about this whole process without you all! I am not afraid and not worried about this, what happens happens and I will be with her every step of the way and I will keep everyone posted when she completes the interview and keep us in your hearts and your prayers and we will do the same! Thank you everyone and we will do our best on November 26!!!

Asia: East and PacificInterview was a disaster!!
Right now we are waiting on Marc Ellis to meet with Greg Adamson. He is the Chief Immigration Officer in Ho Chi Minh City. If this does not get resolved then my Father and I are going to file a writ of mandamus in Federal Court holding the United States Consulate General there liable for this. This is their chance to get out of this gracefully. I will not be bullied or unbelieved by these people there. They are no different than anyone on this forum. They put their pants on the same way we do, ONE LEG AT A TIME!! I am hopeful and with enough prayers and enough support Uyen should arrive here soon. If not then it will be a media fiasco before it is all over and costly for them to fight with me about it. They are inhumane at best in the way they treat people there and I intend to expose that for the benefit of everyone in the future. I intend to be an advocate for everyone here in hopes that we can come to better means of deciding who is for real and who is not. I want to thank everyone for all your support and compassion, because the CO'S in HCMC have none whatsoever! There has to be a better way!!!

Asia: East and PacificInterview was a disaster!!
I have retained Marc Ellis to represent me on the ground in Vietnam. He will now be handling our case. The baby is our child without a shadow of a doubt. Uyen and I were together every minute of everyday when I was there this summer. I went to the doctor with her when we found out. It was her time of the month when I got there and she never had it again. I know for a fact that I am the Father. They are just trying to stall us off to see if we are the real deal, which is against the law to do. I have already talked with the so called politicians here and they are worthless! I am hopeful of Mr. Ellis abilities. I have heard nothing but good things about him. I will let you all know how it goes. But heed my warning, no matter how well you have prepared there is always a chance for this when dealing with Ho Chi Minh City. I knew before I filed that I would have a little bit of a hard time because her Aunt introduced us and I had known her for several years, but I will not lie!!!!

Asia: East and PacificInterview was a disaster!!
My Fiance interviewed on the 26th of November and it was a disaster completely. She received the blue paper after the interview on Monday the 26th and after a couple days and more evidence I returned to the Consulate personally and received the green paper asking for a DNA Test on our unborn child!! So now I am contacting everyone in the Government to try and help me get her here before the baby is born otherwise we will be waiting for maybe 10 months!! Anybody have any ideas?? crying.gif

Asia: East and PacificMarc Ellis is the man!!!
Bottom line about Marc Ellis is the fact that my wife would not be here without his endeavors. Without his help I would be waiting forever and they would try to keep us in limbo. I will forever be indebted to Mr. Ellis for how he has changed our lives and the wonderful gift of "togetherness" he has helped us realize! Noone in their right mind would do this process without his assistance!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDifferences in K-1 versus K-3??
I have a guy who I introduced to my sister in law from Vietnam. My wife is already here. I filed for a K-1 visa for her. My now brother in law will have to file a K-3 or CR1 for his wife, but what I need to know is what is different about the initial packet that we send in? I'm familiar with the K-1 but not so much the K-3. From what I have read and the guide on here, it is pretty much the same for both other than the forms you send in. Thank you for your advice and time.
