One of the requirements that was asked for me to bring for the interview is my Philippine passport. However, I couldn't find it anymore- looks like I lost it. Would this be a [problem in the interview? If I renew it, I need to fly to Washington DC which is $$$$.

I got my biometrics appointment today. It is scheduled on July 5th at 11am. I am planning to do an early appointment. I have a quick question though, is it really OK to do a walk in with the biometrics? I am taking my toddler with me so I dont want to drive an hour and get turn down because it's too ear;y to do it.

Please add my timeline FP appointment July 5th, 2011.

I will be sending my application for Citizenship tomorrow. I just have a few questions. Do we need a money order or a cashier's check for the $680 processing fee? I know the two are different but I went to the bank today and asked for a cashier's check for "U.S Dept. of Homeland Security" (Yes, Dept. was abbreviated by the bank cashier!). Should I have to redo it? Please let me know. Thanks!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussiongetting ready to file
Hi everyone!

I am preparing my I-751 packet and hoping to complete the requirements this month. I am kind of confused on the Two completed fingerprint cards (Form FD-258) . Do you set an appoitment at your local USCIS so they can administer this? Please let me know.

Thanks so much,

Dani

I have my package going in on Monday.

Evidence included:

I-751 Form - Petition to Remove Conditions
Copy of front and rear of Permanent Resident Card
Photos of applicant and spouse (March 2008, August 2008 and May 2009)
Copy of auto lease from May 2007
Lease, 2008-2009
Lease, 2009-2010
Credit card statement (November 2007)
Joint Bank Account statements (Dec 2007, May 2008, Oct 2008, Jan 2009, March 2009 and June 2009)
Joint Income Tax Return for 2007
Joint Income Tax Return for 2008

Took about 30 minutes to put together and I am happy that it is sufficient based upon what I saw last time. The AOS interview back in '07 took about 5 mins and we included a similar amount of evidence last time so I am not going overboard.

Good luck all.

Paul

Hi Paul,

My husband and I are getting ready to send my I-751 requirements. I see above that you are also sending "Photos of applicant and spouse (March 2008, August 2008 and May 2009)". Please let me know what these photos are? I am kind of confuse sad.gif

That'd be my understanding - either Homeland Security or USCIS. Personally I'd do Homeland Security, as the forms themselves still say that. I assume USCIS would be ok or they wouldn't have said so, but I'm one of those 'error on the side of caution' people. smile.gif

Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Bird and TracyTN!! I will wright it for Department of Homeland Security. I will mail it today (overnight-USPS). Should get there tomorrow.

Ok. My packet was returned to me today. Unfortunately, I put the wrong amount for the I-751. Insetad of $545.00, the the money order was only for $ 540.00.

Question: There is a notice attached to the package that says

"Since the reorganization of the INS into three new agencies under the Department of Homeland Security, there has been confusion regarding who remittances should be made payable to. Unless specified above, your application is not being rejected for incorrect payee information, however to ensure proper processing of future applications, please make checks and/otr money orders payable to "Department of Homeland Security or U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services".

So I can either wright the check for "[b]Department of Homeland Security"or "U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services".

Is that correct? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

P.S I hope someone can reply to my inquiry ASAP. So i can mail it today. This problem doesnt help my pregnancy...lol crying.gif
