Hi ate ady! Welcome sa thread na to smile.gif usually kasi mahirap talga kapag nasa first trimester at magiging mas-ok na ang feeling kapag nasa second tri. sabi nila second tri daw ang hindi mahirap. mejo hirap din ako nung 1st tri pero hindi naman kagrabe like yours and now na nasa 2nd tri na ako eh masmagaan na ang feeling ko compare nung sa 1st. hopefully na maging-ok ka na rin on your 2nd tri smile.gif

Oo nga pink. I am so looking forward to that. Excited akong magkababy kaso nahihirapan lang talaga ako sa stage na to.

PhilippinesAll pregnant Mommies
Hello to all mom to be

I am on my 9th week of pregnancy, going on 10th week this week. I have a hard time with this first trimister stage. I have had a rough time, sometimes I feel like giving up. To me it's just hard. Morning sickness? name it and I am experiencing all of those. I always feel nausea with vomiting consistently, as in everyday. More like 4-5 times a day. As soon as something hits my stomach, I throw it all back up. I feel so terrible. I was even confined for 3 days in the hospital because of continuous vomiting. I was dehydrated and had bladder infection. It was terrible but I am fighting for it. I'm out in the hospital now and recovering. I am very sensitive on the things I smell. It makes me nauseous and throw up. I feel very lazy. All I do is lay in bed the whole day which is not healthy but I always do an effort to force myself getting up once in a while. I always have a problem with the food I'm eating. At one point I want this food and as soon as it's in front of me, I don't like it anymore. I am very emotional. I take things seriously. I hate it when somebody tells me what to do, especially my mother in law who's been a pain in the ####..lol.. Maybe she doesn't understand what I am going through. She's been there but every pregnancy is different from the other. But anyways, I had a good report on my last Doctors visit and I am trying to maintain that. Hopefully all this things I am experiencing is normal and will pass through this first trimister. I am excited to get through with my first trimister.

PhilippinesPassport Renewal

Hi mommy ady,

we are going to san francisco next week for my passport renewal and ammendments. and also to apply for Jacob passport. I just had prepared all my requirements yesterday. Here are the requirements. Btw...mine also will expire Feb 2011.

What do I need to renew my Philippine Passport?
The Consulate is receiving applications for the new Machine Readable Passport (MRP) beginning June 02, 2008. The old “green” passport is no longer issued.

Each applicant must personally appear at the Consulate, except for minors 8 years old and below and senior citizens 65 years old and above, and bring with them the following:

Duly accomplished passport application form
Most recent Philippine passport
One (1) copy of the passport data page(s)

For brown passports – copy the pages which show the data and picture of the applicant

Two (2) identical photos taken within the last six months of size 4.5 cm by 3.5 cm on a Royal Blue background. Complete details on photo requirements for the MRP may be viewed at www.dfa.gov.ph/consular/PHOTO%20GUIDELINES.pdf.
USPS Express Mail Postage Stamps
It takes about six (6) weeks to process the MRP as the approved applications are sent to a central processing facility in the Philippines.

If the applicant’s last passport is the brown one – which only shows the applicant’s middle initial, – a copy of any VALID IDENTIFICATION which shows his/her WHOLE MIDDLE NAME must also be provided. Acceptable forms of identification are:

Birth Certificate
Marriage Certificate
Baptismal Certificate
State ID or Driver License, or
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
First time applicants must also bring the original and a copy of
NSO certified Birth Certificate, if born in the Philippines; or
Report of Birth, if born outside the Philippines (Please see requirements for Report of Birth)
The fee for the issuance of a passport is $50.00Accepted forms of payment are cash, money order, cashier’s check or bank draft made payable to the Philippine Consulate General. Personal checks, credit or debit cards are not accepted. All consular service fees are non-refundable.

I hope this helps...but because you want to renew maybe you want to ammned it under your married now. Just my suggestion :)

Evelyn

PhilippinesPassport Renewal
I want to prepare things ahead of time that is why I am starting to gather up all the necessary papers needed in renewing my Philippine Passport. I have some concerns about this process though because I don't know how to and where to start. I need your help guys especially for those who had already tried renewing their passport here in the states.

My questions are:

1. My Philippine passport will expire on February 2011, when should I start the process?

2. How much is the fee?

3. Where to renew it?

4. What are the requirements?

5. Does it require a personal appearance?

For now that's all I can think of. Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thank you all!

ROC filed March 14, 2011. Approval notice September 15, 2011. GC was mailed October 13, 2011 according to USCIS and according to the tracking number it was delivered but I never received it. USCIS said that it may have been lost in the mail and I need to file an I-90 for the replacement of my GC with a filing fee of $450...Oh my! This is ridiculous. Anybody who encountered this problem?

PhilippinesA question for a friend
He met this Filipina girl on Cherry Blossoms and was really ready to go the next level on their relationship. He hasn't meet her in person yet, but his planning to go visit next year. If everything goes well, then he will start the process. His main concern is his planning on filing bankruptcy too. Will this move affect the immigration process when his girlfriend over?

Thanks in advance.

PhilippinesDivorce on going
Is this gonna effect the visa process?

The guy's divorce is still on going and he met this girl online and they seem getting along well. The guy is now planning to go the Philippines to meet her, actually he is about to book his plane ticket soon. Is this going to be a problem that he is meeting his gf in the Philippines while his divorce is on going?

Philippinesmet once & got married
I think you have nothing to worry about. Like others said, just provide them with tons of evidence of your relationship. I met my fiance (now husband) in October of 2007, he flew to the Philippines on Feb of 2008, we got engaged on the same month and he only stayed there for 10 days. My k1 petition went well and didn't have any problem with it. Good luck

PhilippinesDoes ITR has baring?
Hello guys!

A friend of ours just met his fiancee in the Philippines last month. Everything went well. He is bound and determined to have her here this year, but there will be some hindrances along the way. These are the things that he is most concern of: He is still on the process of his divorce, so he cannot really file for a fiance visa, unless it is final - He is aware of this. Second, he filed his tax as married this year since he is not divorce yet, the question is, if and so, the divorce will be finalized, is there a baring on the tax paper he filed as married if he submits the divorce paper along with it when he files for the fiance visa? or does he have to wait next year to file as single?

I hope somebody could enlighten this concern.

Thanks

Been to CFO too and yes they will ask for a picture but during that time I have no idea about that and good thing we have pictures together on my phone and that is what I've showed them. Yep they are kinda strict when it comes to requirement and what i really don't like about it was when they asked me several questions that to me it's a very insulting question.

PhilippinesACR I-CARD

Well the first time we flew in together I don't think they stamp his passport for 1 year extension and when he came back last month all by himself, they require him the exit visa. Is there still a way we can have his passport stamped for 1 year extension with the proof that we flew in together to the Philippines in September?

PhilippinesACR I-CARD

Also, the company he work with is buying his tickets. They purchase a one way ticket every time he gets off work and purchase one back when his ready to fly in back to the US for work. The problem is, they require him an exit ticket all the time. Our marriage certificate is not good enough. Is there a document that proves that me and my kids live in the Philippines and then he comes visit when his off work while we are processing his I-card?

PhilippinesACR I-CARD

Does anybody here tried getting an I-card for your stay in the Philippines? My husband and I planned on opening a bank account here, but they require an I-card and we thought it was just a simple application, but found out it's a long process. Can anyone walk us through the process and recommend an agency that will process his papers.

Thanks

This is cute. I've been in the states for 5 years and I can attest to the above statement. It's all true and the adjustment period was hard and funny, but like my husband said, I am becoming a southern girl now because I talk like everybody else and have well adjusted. Thanks to him, his always been there and will always be.

PhilippinesReport of Marriage - 4 Years Later

You did both at the same time? I thought you had to have the returned RoM back from the Philippines prior to submitting for a new passport.

Yes i did both, passport renewal and report of marriage at Chicago Consulate. I don't think you have to have the returned ROM before you can submit for a new passport. ROM is part of the requirements of renewing your passport especially when you need to use your married name. What i got in the mail were my new passport under my married name and the original copy of our ROM (I submitted along with passport renewal documents) with seal and signed from Chicago Consulate.

PhilippinesReport of Marriage - 4 Years Later

My wife's passport is expiring and needs a new one. Looking through the Internet, I've determined we need to do a Report of Marriage. I realize that the lateness is probably not that big of a deal, just need more documents, but the one that I don't know about is this requirement:

We were married in Guam 4 years ago and have had two USA born children in that time. Until recently I had no idea that there was a Report of Marriage to do at all. We now live in Illinois, so reporting in person to the Guam Consulate isn't possible. Does anyone know what additional difficulties we will face because of this?

If your wife needs to renew her passport then she needs to appear to the nearest consulate office as to your location right now ( Jurisdiction). When I had to renew my passport, I needed to appear personally. My area of jurisdiction is Chicago consulate. I also did the report of marriage because of change of last name. It was all done in one day and just waited on my new passport 6 weeks later in the mail.

PhilippinesShipping and Relocation to the Philippines

Hi Guys!

We are currently in the Philippines right now (Gensan City Mindanao) and we are preparing for our move next year hopefully by May 2014. Do you have any recommendation when it comes to shipping all our stuff from the US to the Philippines? I am due to go back to the US by March and have to packed everything and ready for shipping. Can anyone recommend the following.

1. Moving company from Mississippi to General Santos City
2. How much will be the cost?(ball park)
3. Can we bring our vehicles?

I will post more questions as I prepare.

Appreciate it!

Thanks

I agree with you 100%! The only reason people post selfies is to fish for compliments. I hate it when someone captions their photo "I look ugly" or "I'm getting fat". Seriously? No dumb person would post their photos if they really look ugly or fat. They just want to see comments like "awww you look pretty" or "you're sexy, what are you talking about". Augh!

Absolutely!devil.gif

I like seeing pics of food! But there's a bit of narcissism when you constantly upload selfies on Facebook just so all your friends will validate your beauty.

What about Filipinos taking pictures of the food before they eat so they can post it on Facebook and Instagram? Does that annoy you too? hahaha!

It does, isn't? Sometimes its just too much and not appropriate anymore.

PhilippinesFilipinos and Photos

I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing, but I haven't met a filipino who is camera shy.  They love taking pictures and love being in the picture.  Americans aren't as photogenic unless we're celebrities or like to pretend we're famous.  Granted, this is the digital age and you longer need to purchase film and then pay to have it developed, but good golly, can we put the camera down for a moment, forget about posing and just enjoy the moments for what they are instead of it turning into an audition?

Lol, I hear you. I am a Filipino and I do love taking pictures and love being in the picture, but not to the extent of exaggeration. My husband (american) doesn't like taking pics or being in the picture. His not a camera shy, but he just doesn't care much about it.

You should know the new trend right now which they called "selfie", that every time they get the chance they would take pictures of themselves and post it on social media platform, sometimes it's annoying. Some would even post a picture of themselves with the caption " sleeping" duh,..

PhilippinesNeed Further Information Please

Hi Guys!

It's been a while since I posted here and this forum has been so helpful on our journey! If things go right, we may have to start a new journey. My aunt's son normally stays with us whenever were here in the Philippines. Most of the time we raise him while his at our house and treat us like our own. On the other hand, his mom just comes and visit once in a while because she loves to travel and stuff with her friends. She told us that she is moving to Palawan to manage her friend's resort there and my cousin refuses to go with her and instead wanted to stay with us. His mom already knew he wasn't going with her. His only 15 years old and studying here in Gensan and I understand why he prefer to stay here than moving with his mom. Now my question is, if we wind up taking care of him, we will be his guardians and we plan on executing guardianship legally. We love to travel and once a year we all fly back to the states for a visit and we don't want my cousin left alone here at the house while were gone. Is it possible that we could bring him with us when we fly back to the states on a tourist visa if we have the guardianship?

PhilippinesU.S. ANNOUNCES ‘NO VISA’ POLICY FOR FILIPINOS - IS THIS FOR REAL?

U.S. ANNOUNCES ?NO VISA? POLICY FOR FILIPINOS

By adobochron on  April 22, 2014

image26.jpg?w=300&h=220

Washington, D.C. - The State Department today announced a life-changing new policy for Filipinos. Visas will no longer be required to travel to the United States. The policy to take the Philippines off the list of countries that are required to obtain visas for travel to the U.S. is effective immediately.

The new policy comes on the heels of a recent survey showing that an overwhelming majority of Filipinos have a favorable view of the United States. The Philippines ranked first in a global survey on the image of the United States worldwide, beating even the U.S. itself when it comes to a favorable view on the American people.

According to the 2013 Global Attitudes Project of the Pew Research Center in Washington DC, the Philippines got an 85 percent score, the highest, when people were asked ?Do you have a favorable or unfavorable view of the US??

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that the State Department made this monumental decision as a way to reward the Filipinos for making the U.S. really look good in the survey.

With this new policy, the U.S. is now added to the list of 25 countries which do not require travel visas for Filipinos. These countries include most of the Philippines? Southeast Asian neighbors as well as some countries in Latin America including Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru and Bolivia.

The ?no visa? policy comes just in time for the visit to the Philippines later this month by U.S. PresidentBarack Obama.

UPDATE: Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Manila asked that Filipinos refrain from calling the consular office to avoid its phone system from crashing.  Instead, people are being asked to download and complete the biographical form and submit it to the embassy, along with four 2×2 colored ?selfie? photos at least one week before they depart for the U.S.  The biographical form will be filed by the embassy for reference  just in case Filipinos overstay in the U.S.  The no-visa policy for Filipinos is good for 60 days stay in all states except Alaska.

hi Softy,

good for you.. you got noa1 just after 11 days... mine is 2 mos. well i feel better now. atleast we know that our papers is there and touched already.. we are hoping now for noa2 hope we will not wait for another 2 mos again... hahahhaha. so stressful!

hi there lady, yes it was 11 days but very stressful because my friends told me that it will just take a week or less and we will get our NOA1 but it didn't happen but I'm so happy when we finally got our NOA1 and we get to check it online too but it is still very stressful when everytime you visit there site and all you can see is that they got your petition and still reviewing your case, everyday we checked, but still it is the same notice that we got,it's not changing..how would you know that your papers are touched?would they email you?do u experience the same i checking your status online?

Hi Lady

I just wanted to share with you also that it took CSC a whole month and week for them to send us our NOA1... it was painful and wondered what happened..! But now all we can do is sit back relax and wait for our NOA2 hoping for a smooth ride. At least you now have a receipt number to monitor for updates/touches..

I hope this journey goes smoothly for all of us waiting so very patiently. Good luck everyone!!

yes we all hope that the whole process will go smoothly,we are also waiting for our NOA2,i hope it wont take that long..
