Asia: SouthDS-230 : Missing information!
hi! we're on the same boat; i mean, I also received an e-mail from NVC regarding my DS-230 pertaining to all places lived since 16 years old. I never submitted any police certificate from the places I lived aside from my present address; I called the US Embassy here in our country and they said I dont need to send in those certificate, only the clearance from the Natl Bureau of Investigation. I am more concerned on how to answer this question correctly for the 2nd time. I dont want another notice or RFE because of this. I hope we'll get over this... let's cross our fingers!

Hello
few days back in submitted my ds-230 wid all required documents
Today i got mail from NVC that states "
In reviewing the form that you submitted, we note that the section pertaining to applicant residences from the age of 16 is
either blank or incomplete. The applicant must list all places lived for at least six months since
reaching the age of 16. There must not be any gaps greater than six months. You will need to
complete and submit a new form with the changes. Your visa application cannot be processed
until this form is complete.

Now i was 16 yrs old in 1998 ... the information i provided was from 2003 so thats my mistake i guess as i thought of giving information about recent 5 years only.
So my confusion is that in 1998 i used to live in same city where i live presently , then in 1999 i moved to Europe for studies till 2006. from 2006 im living at present adress... so i have submitted police report of my present residence and from Europe. but now that i will have to fill about 1998 and rest of years too.. do i need to present a new police report about that even though i was living in same place as im living now?
i hope you understand wot i m asking about...
so help me to know wot im supposed to do next?

HELP ME PLEASE???

Look yes.gif at it agin it only ask for the last ( 5 ) five yrs!!!

Use a seperate piece of paper... And, make sure you specify the page # and question from the DS-230. That is what I did for all immigration forms and did not have an RFE on anything.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS-230 completion
hello guys! I am trying to complete (again) my Ds-230 part 1. if ever the space is not enough for my answer (for example: school and location, employer and address) will i use an ordinary paper for my additional answer? or will use extra ds-230 form for my answer/s which needs more space? I hope you can help me with this because I need to mail it to my husband ASAP so he can mail everything to NVC for another review.
Another thing is, for cases reviewed and needs additional or with documents, how much delay will cause to the completion of the case? will I be able to get a medical and interview sked on or before?
Thanks for your feedback. God bless!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)checklist from NVC
I am a beneficiary of CR-1 petition and also my son filed by my USC husband. On August 24, NVC received our case/s for review and on Sept 2, we both received an e-mail with checklist from NVC. On my part, NVC is requesting me to fill up again a new DS-230 part 1 since according to NVC, my answer/s pertaining to all the places I lived since 16 years old is either blank/incomplete. They are also waiting for my husband to pay the IV fee. With my son's case, NVC is requesting the AOS and IV fee bill (the DS-230 is already submitted). My question now is, what happens next after we accomplished everything that NVC requires us? Will it take it longer for our case/s to be competed and have our medical and interview schedule? I would appreciate it very much if you can provide me answer/s to my question/s. Thanks in advance!

Hello guys! what happens if we didnt follow some instructions from NVC? I mean, the DS-230 was submitted before the IV fee was paid. Then NVC sent an e-mail with checklist saying that they already received the required AOS but not the IV fee payment yet. NVC also asked me to complete another DS-230 as they put a note on the part pertaining to All the places I lived since reaching the age of 16 because it is blank/incomplete. Once we submit the needed requirements by NVC, how much time will they need before our case reaches its completion? Will it be possible for me to get my medical and interview schedule on or before December 2009? By the way, I am a CR-1 beneficiary. Thanks in advance for whatever info you can share with me. God bless!

nobody knows how much delay it will cause you. even the ones who followed the instructions had some delays too. i guess you just have to follow. don't be too excited about the paperwork. you'll gonna get through it. just relax. and read instructions carefully. one at a time. pay fees first and then they'll send you notice on whats next to do. plus this site has many helpful tips you can search on.

yes its possible you get interview schedule by December. Nothing is impossible with God so just keep praying.

most of all do what NVC asks you to do LOL...if you accomplish that the soonest possible time...the soonest you'll get interview sched of course.

God bless!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresafter the interview...
well, even before you receive any slip, the interview always ends with a statement from the CO. Based from my experience likewise of my son last Thursday, the CO said our visa is approved! And when you're given a PINK slip after the interview, that means you go to the booth of Air21 and pay the courier fee of 215 for your visa delivery.

Is my son's case delaying it since it is still being processed at NVC? we received a checklist on his case last month and my husband told me he already worked on it. whew! might wait on or before December to get a schedule I guess. Hi Ronalyn!

You will meet a lot of people there naturally whether they are VJ members or not. In fact, I hadn't expected I would find one but I did. Kirsteen just sat near me yesterday and I didn't even know her name. We didn't know each other. I just told her, "You look familiar. Are you a VJ member?" She said yes. I knew I saw her profile pic here a couple of times before I took the medical exam.

The main reason why people (I'm one of them) joined this community (VJ) is to ask or give some help/advice on how to have a US visa. Friendship "may" just come along the journey between those who always ask, and to those who always answers. happy.gif They may always found time before for VJ & to go online asking questions regarding visa processing coz that was their priority that time. But now that they have a new journey to take, new routine, new priorities. Just let go of them. There are other things that may be worth your time.

Well, I dont want to offend anyone but I really felt bad to those whom I was able to be-friend through this website because while at their journey with their paperwork, they have time to send you email through PM, or chat with you through yahoo messenger. But now that they are already in the US; its as if they already turned their backs from the people who in one or the other has been of great help to them. Well, of course they are now reunited with their loved ones, that's given, but I think you will not sign in on yahoo messenger if you are too busy to chat. I hate to think that just because they are already finished with their journey and now in US, they dont know you anymore. I am just disappointed with this kind of attitude... I just hope that these people will learn to continue to humble themselves and learn to know where they came from. Being in the US is just the start of your journey and there might be instances that someday you will need or look for a Filipino friend to talk too. God bless

1. As to your question if the feeling was mutual when I said I "befriend" someone through VJ, I guess you will not just communicate with someone whom you doesnt feel like talking too even if you need someone from that person... not unless you are just really a USER that you are only after something that you want, and once you have it, communication ends.
2. I am not helping others just to ask or expect something in return like friendship nor oblige them to keep that friendship forever and force them to continue to communicate with me. And you are right, some of my VJ friends I havent seen yet in person but there are some that I already met in person. BUT I am not over-reacting and YES I have lots of friends outside VJ... And like you, you havent met me personally yet so you may not really understand what I am trying to say.
3. I dont oblige my VJ friends/acquaintances to chat with me.. Like the others' response, not my loss...

Well, I want to say THANK YOU for your response and for your time. You may not understand me very well and I respect that. Like I've said, I just want to voice out my disappointment. Anyway, thanks again. Gotta go! my farm is waiting at facebook's Farmville!

Well, I dont want to offend anyone but I really felt bad to those whom I was able to be-friend through this website because while at their journey with their paperwork, they have time to send you email through PM, or chat with you through yahoo messenger.

Don't misinterpret me but when you say you befriended them here, was the feeling mutual?

But now that they are already in the US; its as if they already turned their backs from the people who in one or the other has been of great help to them. Well, of course they are now reunited with their loved ones, that's given, but I think you will not sign in on yahoo messenger if you are too busy to chat. I hate to think that just because they are already finished with their journey and now in US, they dont know you anymore.

When you were helping them before, were you expecting something in return? like friendship?. It seems to me that you are obliging them to be your friend forever.

I am just disappointed with this kind of attitude... I just hope that these people will learn to continue to humble themselves and learn to know where they came from. Being in the US is just the start of your journey and there might be instances that someday you will need or look for a Filipino friend to talk too. God bless

Gosh..you don't even know these people personally or am i wrong? If you don't know them personally I think you are over reacting. Don't you have friends other than the people in vj?

So many people here in vj who have helped me in my journey and I am still talking to them here or to another websites but Im doing this not because I feel like I am oblige.

Philippineslearn to continue to be humble...
Hi lady AA! well, thanks for your understanding. Well, through my husband and relatives in the US, i know that life there in US is far different from our laid back life style here in PI but like I've said, I dont think you will have time to sign in to yahoo messenger if you are busy adjusting with your new life there. To those who cannot understand, its okay but I am just trying to voice out my disappointment.
Anyway, my son's interview/appearance at the USEM is on Dec03; a day before yours. Well, my son is just 4 yrs old so I hope he will be okay.... Goodluck!

PhilippinesAnna & Gabby are flying right now!
Hi Bob! Anna and I just not just chat-mates but friends now because of Vj and i am really happy that I have a friend in her. We chat almost everynight and talk about life in general not just what we need from Vj; that's why I was saddened when she told me last night that they were leaving. Anyway, I am happy that you will be reunited as one family. I hope to visit her there and you visiting me also in Seattle. God bless!

According to my flight tracker their plane is half-way here!

Scheduled to land in Chicago in about 7 1/2 hours!

I just hope she doesn't mind all of things I didn't get to in the house already...

It's hard to believe our Visa Journey is coming to an end. Yeah I know ROC in 19 months but that's nothing compared to what we've just gone through.

I want to thank everyone here, especially those who's journey is long done and yet they remain to help newbies like Anna & I. Without this site we might have gone completely crazy.

I'd also like to invite any VJers in Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin to stop by and say "Hi". We live in Algonquin Illinois, a Nowrthwest Suburb of Chicago.

I'll post pics of the homecoming in the next few days...

w0w! honestly, while i was reading your post, I can almost feel the pain in your heart and the anger you have for that selfish stupid guy! I guess you better stop communicating with your ex because he doesnt deserve you and your love at all! Let go of him and just focus on yourself most especially on your health. Just pray and God will be with you.

he wanted me for k1 but for some reason he had a cancelled k1 visa that is not yet officially cancelled.i found out he filed k1 then a month after he started chatting me ,he said he had a filipina before me and what i thought they were over, we meet on filipinaheart his profile was already deleted. I asked him if i was just a cover up of his pain from his ex girl he said no, but what i thought now was i am right, his friend told me they had an argument and thats the reason why he cancelled the visa for the girl. but it was very fresh, a month only and he found me.we did not have any visa process, our relationship is over coz he was chatting other girl when he was here.he said he didnt have other girl but im old enough and i can felt instinctly no matter how he tried hiding his actions. actions speaks louder than words and i can now say that we must follow our instinct coz some is right. i even emailed the girl asking if she was the new girlfriend, but they were mad with me. And now, they were over.

The consul allow me to pick-up my visa and he said I can get it by Monday just wait for the call so i know what time i can get it in the embassy. I am very thankful that i found vj... it is a big help to me. And I found new friend here. Thank you also lovely Anna L.

PhilippinesBringing a baby/minor immediately with you in the US
hi! well, we are in the same boat but i am already finished with my journey as far as paperwork, medical and interview is concerned. anyway, my husband is also a USC and he filed a separate petition for me (IR-1) and my 4yr old son (IR-2) who is not his own. FYI: just like you, I was a single mom when I met my now husband. And since the relationship I had with son's bilogical father didn't went well when I was already pregnant, I decided to let my child have my family name. So in his birth certificate, the part wherein info about the father is asked, it is already blanked or UNKNOWN. Since you did the same thing, you will no longer need to secure a consent from your daughter's biological father in order for her to travel with you to the US or anywhere else in the world. All that your husband needs to submit to USCIS is your daughter's birth certificate from NSO.

QUOTE (CC JC Forever @ Dec 18 2009, 06:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello guys,

I hope you can help me with my concerns....
I am married to a US citizen and we are currently processing our papers. He has filed for an I-130 already, have received NOA1 and waiting for our approval from USCIS.
My husband wants to petition my 7mo. old daughter as well (not his biological daughter, we'll bring her a few years from now) and thought that he had included her in the petition.

Here are my questions:
1. Should my husband file a separate I-130 form for my daughter?
YES! like in my case, my husband filed a separate petition for me (IR-1) and my son (IR-2).

2. What are the requirements?
for your daughter, only her birth certificate from NSO

3. One of the VJ members answered my other post (in a diff section of this forum), that "You have a potentially big problem. You cannot get a visa for your daughter unless you get her biological father's notarized permission to let her immigrate to the US."---- Is this still needed considering my situation (story below)?!?

NO! You will not have a big problem on your daughter's paperwork because I did not encounter any with my son's petition; not letting your daughter use his biological father's surname was a blessing in disguise because you will no longer need to secure a consent/permit to travel from your daughter's biological father which is usually released by DSWD. I can say, Take it from me because we are in the same boat. I mean, I was also a single mom when I met my husband (now). And just like you, I did not let my son use his biological father's surname leaving the "father" in that part of the daughter's birth certificate UNKNOWN.

Well, you can always pm me if ever you want to ask something. My son and I are already finished with our journey as far as our paperwork is concerned. We will be leaving for US by March or earlier. Gob bless!

Here's a little background of my life before my hubby:
I was a single mom before and was never married with the man in my previous relationship but had a daughter with him. When my daughter was born, I did not acknowledge my daughter's biological father. He ABANDONED us prior my (our) daughter's birth, so I decided not to use his surname nor put his name in her birth certificate.

I have no problems answering questions about the biological father IF it's going to be asked in the interview. My concern is that, why do I need the biological father's consent if he did not care about us in the first place??!

Please help me...Thanks in advance...
