We were using Cox bundle , with land line , but figured at .05 per minute to Canada ( which is the only out of country calls ) that it was cheaper to get rid of the land line , and use tmobile at .09 per minute to Canada, and unlimited US long distance for my wifes family. We actually save close $30.00 a month now since we dropped the land line. Plus Tmobile offers so many packages here , IE.. 5 favs .
I also try call family back in T.O. let it ring once or twice , then hang up. They call back , and I get no long distance charges.

Hello,

I am getting ready to file my I-751 on Monday, I was wondering if anyone could post any examples of the stuff that they submitted..

Thanks,

Liam

We sent in copies of our mortgage , a few bills , recent banking statements , our car loans , and just the usual things they ask for..... copies of my passport ,green card , and Canadian passport and birth certificate.
we figured that we already sent them tons of stuff first time round. lus interview. f they can't see by now that we are still together , with what we sent this time , then so be it. interview us.
well, as it turns out, that was enough. was approved 2 days ago , and green card is on the way
So good luck.

United KingdomLong Form Birth Certificate for London Interview?
QUOTE (Claire and Troy @ Nov 30 2009, 12:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello its Claire here.

It should be easy enough for you to get your long form Birth Cert.

http://maps.direct.g...do?ref=grolight

If you check this link above, you can search up the register office home town where your fiance was born and contact them over the phone to arrange a long form Birth Cert.

They will ask for your fiance's full name, date of birth, both of his parents full names. It costs about £7 - £12 but I cant be fully sure.
Im sure if you call them early and pay over the phone you could possibly have your Birth Cert in the post the next day or two smile.gif

I hope this helps you.

Claire.

Thank you so much for all of your help! I truly appreciate this!! smile.gif

Hey guys,

I have a question about some of my confusion on the I-134. Do I need to submit Tax returns and/or Tax transcripts for the past couple of years no matter what? The job I am in now, where I make enough money to support us, would NOT be reflected in the past 2 years tax returns. Does this matter or are they simply just required so I just need to send them anyway?

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAPPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!
QUOTE (RichardMiami @ Jun 26 2009, 05:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello all! After all the months of stress, paperwork, fees, etc. I am very pleased to share the fact that our K1 has been approved. kicking.gif kicking.gif

The interview was far from "automatic". We were first in line at the Montreal Consulate at 6:30 am. At about 7:50, the guard showed up to open the door. He checked our appointment letter and sent us down stairs.

Downstairs, we went through a very thorough security check. It was very professionally done. Don't even try to bring in a cell phone, ipod or anything else electronic!

After a short wait we were sent up the elevator to the 19th floor. There we had to wait again (get used to waiting - bring a small book or magazine, it will help) until we were called to the Window. At the window, the woman checking us was EXTREMELY thorough. She sounded a bit negative and picky, but I realized that what she was doing was a good thing. She organized every document and looked for missing items, details etc. She found some - but fortunately we were able to correct them. It was a demanding but useful review. (Note - our package was a bit complex due to the accompanying children, custody documents, etc.)

Then we waited again for the interview. The officer interviewed my fiancee and her daughter without me, asking them the usual "where did you meet?" and "how many times have you been to the US?" questions. He was very polite and friendly. I was then called in and asked a few simple questions, and he concluded with a big smile and handed us the Welcome to the United States letter! biggrin.gif

It was almost noon at that point, but we were done! Now we wait for the Visas to come in the mail. We are hoping to work it all out to cross on July 5th - to be followed by our wedding, and then, of course, start the AOS process... LOL.

For anyone reading this - the Visa Journey website is GREAT. It has been and continues to be a great help to us. This would have been much more difficult without VJ!! good.gif

Thanks again to the organizers of this website! You guys are GREAT

Congrats!!

QUOTE (lovechocolates @ Jul 8 2009, 01:50 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I am going to visit my fiance this weekend. I have gathered all the docs I can. However, I have found another job and may take it in about two weeks time (they are doing background screen and will finish in two weeks). If so, I want to shorten my notice period to current employer and go to US for another three weeks. It could happy quite soon, three weeks after my initial visit this weekend.

However, I have heard that if I visit US too often, it increased my risk of being denied. Could anyone who have visited US often tell me some experience?

Thanks!

Visiting wont hurt anything, just have proof to ties at home so they believe you that you are returning home and not going to try and stay in the country smile.gif

Hello,

Me and my SO are filling for the K-1 at the end of the month (Can't wait!)

However, being the paranoid type, I like to read ahead....wayyyy ahead. And I noticed for when you get the NOA2, they request more proof of an ongoing relationship...only this time it's from NOA1-present. I MIGHT be going to visit him within that time frame (Will have photo's and such if I do), but if I don't...we don't really have much proof. I talk to him over the internet, using a program called Ventrilo (basicly an online phone)....so there's no phone bills, or emails really, because we are ALWAYS talking on that program. Unless we are at work, we text. Will that suffice?

Thanks smile.gif

It is not paranoid to plan ahead. But I believe you have mis=read something. They do not ask for proof of ongoing realtionship with the petition (I-129f) though some people choose to send it. The I-129f asks for evidence of meeting in person one time in the last two years, that is all. Proof of ongoing realtionship will be asked for at the visa interview. Have some.

You will need to do SOME of your communication by a means that generates evidence, phone calls, emails, etc. Even a pen and paper and postage stamps.

May i ask....... would it help if they )or me and my Fiance) set up a bank account togethar after filing the I-129F?? i find myself in a similar situation

I do not think a bank account will suffice as proof. I had the same question once before. I dont think it proves anything unfortunately. sad.gif
