Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionChange of Last Name free with filing I-751??
Haha. Yeah free is the wrong word to use but in doing it within the I-751 would save $450!! Did you mention it on the cover letter and fill out the paperwork in her married last name? I just don't want them to be confused since my bank stuff is in my married name but everything else is in my maiden name...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionChange of Last Name free with filing I-751??

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to file my removal of conditions this week so I went through the forum one more time just to make sure I have all my evidence and see what everybody else is doing. I stumbled among this thread where someone mentioned they simply mentioned to please change their last name on the green card and filled the form out accordingly. It sounded like there was no form I-90 involved whatsoever...I haven't changed my name since my husband and I got married two years ago because SSN won't let me without my married name on my greencard. I called USCIS and was told I needed this form and pay $450 in filing fees (we haven't had that kind of money to spare so far)...this was in 2010. is it really as simple as filling out I-751 with your married last name and ask for them to issue the 10 year green card with it instead of your maiden name??? Please help, I will call them on Monday to find out but would love to hear what your experiences were.

Thank you!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 September 2013 Filers

Hello everyone,

I am just completing my package to send out on Thursday. Only need to finish my cover letter and wait for 1 more affidavit. I must admit I am anxious since we decided to do it without a lawyer this time but it all seems pretty straight forward this time around. Wish us luck! wub.png

For my AOS i printed actual photos and put them in a plastic sheet protector, stapled the top so they don't spill out and included them in the packet that way. But for the ROC I just printed two photos per page on a  regular letter size plain print paper, so everything is in the same format.  I don't think it much matters what way you do it as long as the you can clearly see who is in the photo. Whichever way you choose write either on the back of the photo (if printing single photos)  or below each (if printing multiples per page)  explanation, who is in it and where was it taken, what was the event.

good luck.

great, thanks for the advise!

Hello Everyone,

my husband and I are filing in August. When submitting pictures as part of your evidence did you print them on regular paper with a few per page or did you just include the pictures loosely?

We are still trying to figure out if we can just do it ourselves without a lawyer. We used one when I applied for adjustment of status from J-1 to K-1. It would be nice to save the $500 though...

Any thoughts?
