Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Form

http://www.uscis.gov...forms/i-751.htm

10/26/05 is the current version 04/30/04 version also accepted.

The expires 09/30/08 and 09/30/05 refers to their authorization to collect information. Goverment agencies must get approval from OMB and post in the Federal Register when they are going to collect information and the form is given an OMB control number which has to be reauthorized from time to time or if the form is changed. It's done under the Paperwork Reduction Act.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Form
Hello Everyone,

Well the time has come where Clayton and I have to file to remove the conditions. I was just curious on something, the form on the USCIS had an expiration date of 09/30/05 however the instructions have an expiration date of 08. I was just wondering if this version is accepted or not? I checked the forms on this site also and it's the same form. I'm concerned now as I need to file next week, I have everything ready to go. When I sat down this evening to fill the form out I realized the expiration date.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
Natalie.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFinancial Records
Saying that maybe I could just get a print out from my bank stating that we have joint checking/savings plus a visa card, not showing the balances. Or are they just looking for statements?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFinancial Records
Ok now I'm worried about something else. I was curious to know if this application focuses on financial stuff? We have copies of our credit card statements, which are pretty high in balance. Our joint checking and savings aren't great ether we are pretty much living off our paychecks right now, as we are both in the last year of college. Does this all matter?

My husband says I worry to much, hmm maybe I do. ;)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Doc checklist.
Ok I'm about ready to send my package off here is what I've included...

Copy front & back of my permanent resident card.

Copy of Clayton’s drivers license and copy of Natalie’s state ID card, issued 08/31/04, showing joint occupancy at our apartment.

Copy of the 12-month residential lease for our apartment, covering the period: 08/30/05 to 08/31/06.

Three original letters written and notarized by U.S. citizen friends and family, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

Copy of 2004 US Federal income tax return, showing our filing status as ‘Married filing jointly’.

Copy of 2005 US Federal income tax return, showing our filing status as ‘Married filing jointly’.

Notarized letter from Credit Union stating that Clayton & Natalie hold valid savings, checking and visa cards.

Copy of a recent car insurance bill stating joint home address.

Copy of our car insurance ID card stating that we hold a joint policy of the car.

Copy of our recent phone bill stating joint home address.

Copy of our medical ID card showing Natalie as a beneficiary to Clayton’s insurance.

Copy of a baggage sticker stating that we flew British Airways to London 12/19/05.

Photographic evidence supporting that we are a valid married couple.

Copy of wedding anniversary cards and letters from friends and family

Do you think this is more than enough evidence? Also do I need letters stating employment and attendance at College?

Natalie. :)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionReceipt Notices

Hey, I sent our app August 1st to NSC and we still haven't received any receipt also. Wife's greencard expires in Oct. Beginning to worry.. sounds like we're in the same boat.

Well at least I'm not the only one! It's just the usual UCIS, being behind in the paper-work, I may call soon though as I'll need some sort of stamp to say I'm still legal.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionReceipt Notices
Hi everyone,

I send my application off August 1st, it was received by Immigration August 3rd and my check was deposited out of my account August 8th. The problem is I still haven't received my receipt notice yet, I checked on the USCIS website and they said they were slow in processing the receipt and notices will be send approximately 14 days, but it's been about a month now, and I was getting worried as my Green Card expires in October. Should I call them to find out what’s going on?

Any advice would be great.
Natalie.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 sent, no NOA, GC about to expire
Hm it's interesting to see so many people without NOAs. I called the USIS help line and she said they were behind and she gave me my receipt number, which funny enough doesn't even work on the website, I double checked the number twice and she said that was the number. Anyways she said if I was going to travel out of the country I should make an INFOPASS appointment at my local office. So does this mean if I don't travel I don't have to go to the INFOPASS appointment? My GC runs out in a month and I was wondering how necessary is it to have an extension?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGrrr USCIS

what about those without extension and just the 10yr greencard but needs to file I-90 for name change and will be travelling later, are they allowed to travel outside the US? Or need to get stamp for their passport?

Hey mooninlove, I believe if you have an approval letter of your 10yr green card on your person when you travel you should be alright. As you've already been approved for the 10yr Green card, so this wouldn't be a problem.

Natalie,
just wanted to say I'm sorry this has happened and hope you get everything resolved quickly.

Best wishes (F)

Thanks Inlove_tx I hope things move quickly too.

Well I finally received my 10yr Green Card, but guess what my card was printed with my Maiden name not married. My first card was issued in my Married name, so guess what I now have to file a I-90 form to change the name. Plus the processing times are already pushing 6 months so I guess I won't have my Green Card corrected for a while.

Hmph just when I thought it was all over for a while.

When you file the I-90 for your name change and assuming it's still pending, would they allow you to travel outside the US? Or you need to get stamp on your passport? Just wanna know.

Well I already have an extension till the end of this year so it should be good. However, I'm wondering if it takes longer than that to receive my correction Green Card will I have to get another extension. I called USCIS and the man told me that my case still had been approved I'm still granted a 10-Year Green Card, so he said I wouldn't need an extension. But that doesn't make much sense seeming you have to have prove with you at all times that your a resident.

When I filed my I-751 last September, the NOA and Biometrics letter arrived with my previous name on them, not my married name. I took them both with me to my biometrics appointment and had them update my name while I was there. I needed to show them my marriage certificate and my passport and they made the changes while I was there. Hopefully, my 10 yr. card will come in the right name.

Maybe you could make an InfoPass appointment at your local office to see if they could change it that way.

Good luck.

Thanks, yeah I did exactly the same when I went down to get an extension in my passport. I told the official that I want everything printed in my married name showed them my marriage certificate too. But that doesn't make a difference now seeming my 10yr card came with my maiden name, I still have to file another form. I'm just so annoyed right now, anyone had this type of problem where you had to file the I-90 form.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion10yr Green Card ordered.
My 10yr Green Card was finally ordered yet again, had an email on Friday saying it would arrive soon. Lets just hope the USCIS didn't screw up my name again. It took 5mths extra to correct my name after being approved for my original green-card. :)
