Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Police certificate
My wife has her k3 visa interview on 22 June at the embassy in Manila. She spent 7 months in Singapore back in 2004. Does she need a police clearance from Singapore or is it only if she spent 1 year or more there. I really dont understand.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)uscis and the I-797, Notice of Action
Hello All,
I have a question and hope someone can help. I see on the web site that the USCIS is now working on I-485 green cards of a receipt date of 14 October 2006 now. My question is, are they going by the Received Date or the Notice Date on the I-797, Notice of Action. My wife has a Received Date of 10 October 2006 on her I-797, Notice of Action and her case has not been touched at all. The Notice Date on the I-797 is 24 January 2007, which date do we go by.

Thanks

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCase Status online
Hello all,
I've been checking the online USCIS case status and nothing has changed. I received my wifes NOA2 on 6 FEB and the letter from the NVC on 20 FEB with a case # and them telling me that they will forward the approved I-129F petition to the Embassy in Manila with in a week. Just tonight I checked the online-status and all it says is that they received the petition on 16 JAN. Is this normal, for them not to update the case on-line.

Thanks

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSingapore Police Certificate
Need Help,
My wife and I are doing a k3 visa. She has her interview on 22 June at the embassy in Manila. The only thing we are missing is the certificate of no criminal conviction from Singapore. They require a $50.00 bank draft in Singapore dollars and my wife is having a hard time getting one in the Philippines. It seems nobody deals with bank drafts. If anyone could help me in this matter, I would really be thankful. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the police certificate back from Singapore.

Thanks VJ

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurespolice certificate from Singapore
Hi VJ,
I'm having a problem with Singapore in getting a police certificate for why wife whom is a philippine citizen and currently living there. Her k3 visa interview is on 22 June and just found out in packet 4 she needs a police certificate from Singapore because she stayed there for 7 months. When i received optional form 169, 3 months ago it stated that if a applicant resided for at least one year they would need a police certificate from that country. Packet 4 states 6 months if applying for K visa. The problem is that I'm running out of time and I found a web site that does International criminal records search, and give you a certificate from there company of no criminal conviction. The web site is infocubic.com. Would this certificate from them work at my wifes interview or does it have to come from the CNCC in Singapore. Hope some one out there can help me. We have already spent so much time apart now and its got the wife and I worried.

Thanks
