I find that this is so unacceptable especially what we have to go through. If the government is going to put us through more security checks, then they should be more effiecient at it instead of having people wait several weeks to possible more than a year. Especially if we have to pay such a large fee(s)...

I just got approved for my NOA2!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. And what is even better. I am leaving for Lima, Peru in 5 days. This will be a great celebration. It will also help us prepare for her interview.

Please join us for a discussion of the newly revised USCIS website (USCIS.gov). This dialogue is scheduled for Friday, September 18th at 2:00 pm in the Tomich Center at 111 Massachusetts Avenue, NW. We hope that you will be able to join us as we provide a visual presentation of the changes to the website and the new functionality that has been added. In addition to the presentation, we will also present a “click-thru” demonstration of the new site to preview the new look and features of the site. An open question and answer session will follow the presentations.

There will be two ways to attend this meeting:

OMG I got the email today and looked at my case status on USCIS to confirm and yep its there!! Sept. 15= K1 APPROVED!! Thank you GOD biggrin.gif goofy.gif energy.gif We are in shock & ecstatic. I told him to start getting his stuff organized to prepare for next steps (i.e. police certificate etc.). It looks like me being so meticulous with all the paperwork in the very beginning has paid off (WITH ALOT OF LUCK). I'm SOOOO HAPPY!! Got my Visa handed to me by the Embassy staff last week Thursday after handing over two missing forms and waiting for an hour in the lobby.
I was so happy I walked out of there beaming and smiling. I think that if I grinned even more my head would've fallen off. biggrin.gif

So yeah! Counting down to October as my fiancee will be flying to Belgium so we can leave together to the States. I'm glad this part is all completed and done now.

The California Service Center is really pumping out Noa-2's quickly. Also I've read notes from a former IO that posted on here that stated that if he received a packet that looked like a lot of effort was put into it, that he will just go through it and approve it as long as everything is in order (instead of placing it in the corresponding 6month bucket). This may also be the reason why you see some get approved very quickly. Good luck on your journey! good.gif

THEN WENT TO SLEEP.............................THIS MORNING.......I CAME TO WORK........CHECKED MY EMAIL------------AND THE APPROVAL WAS THERE!!!!!!

THANK YOU GOD FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE..........I KEPT SAYING.

TO THE VJ FAMILY AND OTHERS......CONTINUE TO BE PATIENT AND PLEASE ASK GOD FOR STRENGTH AND FORGIVENESS. (I RECOMMEND READING PSALMS).

Hello all - quick question...I was approved on September 14 for the noa2. I have called and spoke to an IO at uscis which stated that it was already sent out. I've been calling the nvc for the last two weeks which said that they haven't received it and asked me to read what my petition says...



(here's what the noa2 says):

The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would now like them to forward the petition to a different consulate. The petitioner can also file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, with this office to request that we notify another consulate of the petition approval for visa processing purposes. THIS FORM IS NOT A VISA AND MAY NOT BE USED IN PLACE OF A VISA.

When the person this petition...........

The agent at nvc stated that it was forwarded to the embassy from what I have read him. So I contacted USCIS again and they said the same thing to contact the embassy for any questions.

Has anyone else experienced this? I even confronted both the nvc and uscis and stated that normally it would be processed through nvc before going to the embassy but both said it went straight to the embassy.


any thoughts please?...



also I plan on contacting the us embassy in Manila during their business hours since its a 12hr difference and they are currently closed.

Hello Marlies and james. The best thing to keep the relationship healthy and not get bogged down by time is to keep up communication and make sure that you stay busy. I talk to my fiancee every chance I get via Skype using a webcam and headset. I also have two jobs, going to school full time, and sometimes hang out with my friends while still spending at least 10 hours a week talking my fiancee. You know what? five months went like poof! laughing.gif However, I know I'm going to lose the part time job once my fiancee gets here. blink.gif

My husband picked up his visa this morning in Accra!!!! We are so excited!!!!! It took 17 months and 1 day since we sent our paperwork. Have faith people...it's a very long and hard process but worth the wait!!!! I can't wait to see my husband!!!

some body tell me its not a final approve and its dosent mean nothing yet , cuse its not a final approve
and what makes me worried more that they dont like to approve people easy , and make it hard and make alot of invastgison and alot of home visit asking about relation even ask the neighbours !!!!!
and its accoridng to how the counsler day goes on if he had a good day he will approve or if he had a bad day he will refuse and treat you mean ?
thats make me and my fiancee so worried , need your advices please

Hello eltemp, same here I just called the nvc just a few minutes ago and they stated that they haven't received it and to allow two to three weeks after the notice date. However, looking at the time line data it seems that a few people have already received nvc confirmation but a lot of September noa2's still lack nvc confirmation. blink.gif

I know how difficult the wait is. With half of September gone, your's should be coming soon. They are still processing at five months because I just recently got my NOA from VSC.
