K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	is all the hassle worth it??	After reading your postings, including the now deleted one, my conclusion is that you are an ideal candidate for working with an immigration attorney. There's a deleted one?? Aww I missed it..... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of having met in the last two years and ongoing	I did my K1 with 2 pages and 2 pictures of proof within the last 2 years. 2 pages consisted of copies of my tickets, boarding passes and stamps in my passport, then 2 pictures. I had her take 50 to 100 pages of proof to the interview, which she needed 1 picture. (And of course this cost a bundle to fedex to Ukraine!) I talked to a lawyer and he told me to KISS (Keep it simple stupid, or er Keep it Simple Smartguy). I was approved in 14 days at Nebraska no less. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of having met in the last two years and ongoing	I only sent proof we had met in the last two years. It included: - 4 pictures - 4 hotel receipts (from november/december 2004) - A document provided by my State's Chess Federation saying that we had both participated in the same tournaments in 2005 - A Brazilian Federal Tax collection he got while living here (from May 2004) - A certified copy of his passport ID page and stamps page I sent the translations along with each document. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 question	You say my fiancee won't need the NOA2 - this is Good News, as I am going to be visiting her in a few weeks and will be able to take with me everything she will need except for the NOA2. I guess faxing it to her will be just fine. She'll only need it when she's already in the US.... so you won't have to fax it either Man... I wish I was going through Vermont.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview Question	Matt has his interview now- May 2nd! It sounds like interviews are generally pretty quick and easy? I am a little worried because I didn't fill out a I-134, just my dad did, since I'm only working a few hours a week right now. We called the embassy, and they said that's ok for just my dad to sponser Matt, so I hope they won't change their minds! He's changing his ticket to fly out on the 10th, and will be buying a LAX-MSP ticket too. Any advice for the interview? Do you think the I-134 might be a problem, or should it be ok since we called to ask? #######! I am so sorry I posted that 5 times- my computer screen was blank, so I was hitting refresh. Is there any way I can delete a few of those?! I can't advise you on that but good luck anyway!!! And just ask the Captain Ewok to close the extra threads you've opened! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Just started K1 journey	It's been more than 30 days and we've still not received anything from the Texas office. My fiance called for an update yesterday and he got through to a phone tree where a voice mail told him exactly what was written on the USCIS website - it takes 90-120 days to complete the K1 process. The number he called was 1-800-375-5283. Is this normal to get a voice message or is it because yesterday was Good Friday, a day off for govenrment offices? I'm sure he is calling the correct number because that was the number they quoted on the website. If he's not calling the right number, does anyone know which number he should be calling for the Texas office? Thanks Sacha I hear that it's very hard to get to talk to a real person....... so the number is probably right but someone else here will advise you better!! But according to the VJ Stats, it's taking about 72 days between NOA1 and NOA2 at the Texas Service Center.
