Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	RFE received today.	Hi everyone - Sorry about the delay, I did get home safely, but not until late and was in no mood to hop on the computer. I am attaching a copy of the letter so you can read it (the part where it gives examples of what to send in). Here is what I have collected and questions I have so far. Doc of Children - we do not have any children together yet, however I got a copy of the emergency contact info I filled out for my daughters school in Sept 09 stating that Tarek is her stepfather and his is an emergency contact. I have contacted her primary care provider and chiropractor and they both just have me listed on the paperwork as an emergency contact because they only have space for 1 name and since I'm the one filing it out, it made sense for me to rwrite my own name. I do have documentation from my primary care office that lists him as my emergency contact on my paperwork for the past 3 years. Doc of joint ownership/occupany - I purchased my home before I ever met my husband and very added his name to the mortgage. We do live in a coop and was thinking of asking the president of the board to write me a letter stating that he has personal knowledge of us living together since 2007 at our address. Financial Records - This is the part I love because I have already sent most of this!!! Joint savings/checking already sent, maybe I will just sent in more copies with different dates? We got a letter from our credit union where we have a car loan, stating that both our names are on it and that it is in good standing. Joint tax returns - I had sent them copies of 2007 and 2008 showing that we filed married, filing jointly. But it looks like it has to be an offical transcript. I do our taxes on line with turbo tax. I will contact the IRS to get something "offical". Life ins showing other spouse as bene, we already sent that. Joint utility bills - currently we don;t have that, they are all in my name, because they were established before my husband moved in. I will contact them and have hm added. At least we will be able to show 1 month with both names. So what do you guys think? Do you think we are covered, do you have any other suggestions? This whole process can make a person crazy! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	RFE received today.	We just got a RFE, I am so mad!! We sent in everything we could think of. Here is a list - tax returns in both names for 2007 and 2008, health insurance and life insurance in both names, 2 car registrations in both names, notorized affidavits from 2 people regarding our relationship, proof of a joint bank account - checking and savings, holiday cards addressed to both, pictures from the past 2 years (a few from each season of each year), copy of my passport and license showing my name change, and an intinary of our upcoming vacation in 2/10 showing that we will both be going on a cruise together. Our mortgage and our household bills are all in my name because they were all already established when my husband got here and I never really saw a need to change them. I would have done so if I thought we needed to but I thought we had plenty of evidence. Anyone have any ideas of additional info to send them? Thanks in advance for your help!! I called IRS...they just faxed me over 2008 + 2009 return.....how cool is that. nice to know that they have modernized...digital copy would be even greater but this is better than waiting 5 days for snaaail mail! faxed copy should be sufficient right? should i still send a copy of MY return along with the transcripts ? You're welcome, I'm glad I finally had some useful info instead of always asking questions myself! Thank God for this site! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Evidence to be sent with 751 app	I searched the IRS website and got this "If you need an exact copy of a previously filed and processed tax return and all attachments (including Form W-2), you should complete Form 4506 (PDF), Request for Copy of Tax Return, and mail it to the address listed in the instructions, along with a $57.00 fee for each tax year requested. " http://www.irs.gov/t...pics/tc156.html So, where to get the free one? What number to call? I just called a few weeks ago and got mine mailed to me free of charge no questions asked. I did not need to fill out any forms. I called, explained that I needed tax transcipts from the IRS for 2007, 2008, 2009, why I need them and the guys said he would have them out in that days mail, which he did. Here is the number from their website, I think this is the one I used, like I saidI called a few weeks ago. Telephone Assistance for Individuals: Toll-Free, 1-800-829-1040 Hours of Operation: Monday ? Friday, 7:00 a.m. ? 10:00 p.m. your local time (Alaska & Hawaii follow Pacific Time). Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Evidence to be sent with 751 app	The list looks good. However, the only thing I would recommend is to send tax transcripts rather than tax returns. Although, there is no harm in sending tax returns. I agree that you should send the transcipts from the IRS. We received a request for evidence and 1 of the things they asked for was transcripts even though we sent copies of our tax returns. You can get them free by calling the IRS. I wante dto let you know that when I went to Algeria, I booked my ticket thru priceline and got it for under $700.00. you just need to keep looking, I checked everyday! Also, dont forget to allow plenty of time for your visa. It says that it only takes 1 week but mine took over a month. Make sure your fiance sends you the original invitation. I have had problems with my husbands family as well and it almost cost us our marriage. Thank God, my husband was strong enough to stand up to his family and fight for us. Middle East and North Africa	MENA pregnancy/baby/parenting thread	Hi Everyone ~ This is a great topic, I usually only read, never post, but I had to jump in here. My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years, I have a 13 year old daughter from a previous relationship, that he bonded with great. He is a huge help with her and they have an awesome relationship! We are going to start trying for a baby soon! A am nervous, but excited. I think the hardest part is that our 13 year old is so independant now, it will be hard to start all over. I am not muslim, but I don't think that will cause any problems, we have always been able to sort out any culteral/religious difference. I am sooooo excited!!! Happy New Year! I know that the next step is the NVC and then on to the embassy. My question is what exactly is in the packets 3 and 4? I want to start gathering stuff now and I can't seem to find this information. I know that I have to get the AOS ready and send that to my fiance, is there anything else? I have found it so reassuring to read all the posts. It really has been a HUGE help. I am so excited, today I received a letter in the mail from the NVC saying that my petition was to be sent out in the next week....so being the impatient person that I am I called to see if by chance it had already gone out. To my surprise and DELIGHT the woman that answered my call said it was shipped out on 1/10/07. So of course I jumped right on the DHL website to try and track it. I was not able to find anything shipped to Algiers in the past week. Has anyone ever had this problem? Everything is going SOOOO well for us I really cant complain....but you all know how it is, I want the info NOW! Anyway, I hope all of you waiting get good news soon! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Passed Interview	4:00am this morning my fiance called to say interveiw went perfectly and he will have his visa in a week!!!!! My honey is coming home! What an incredible, heart wrenching ride this all has been. But in the end worth every tear shed, every minute spent missing your fiance. For all of you waiting months and months god bless you. Our visa was approved start to finish in just under 2 months (and thats with the holidays). I guess we were EXTREMLY lucky with the right service center and consulate. Thanks to all on VJ for your help and guidance and to all those who said a prayer for us last night. I am rooting for ALL of you out there. It was dates 1/11/07 and said that they would be forwarding our petition to the embassy within a week. I called the NVC and they told me that it had been sent out on 1/10/07!!!
