K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDo we need to provide the Annulment decree?
As what I have PM'd you, we checked the Divorced box and beside it we wrote (ANNULLED)...i got this tip from one member of the ASAWA forum (Philippines)..they did this during their application...and it worked...she got the visa...I don't know if this would be ok in Singapore...however, in the Philippines, it is. What is important, however, both partners would be able to establish that they are legally free to marry. As to the definition of terms by Ziggy, I agree with him (Single - Never Married)... that's why we chose Divorced (Annulled).

Good luck! (F)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCURIOUS
We didn't hire a lawyer. It was (and still is) a joint effort of my USC fiance (now husband) and me. Following instructions on the USCIS forms and joining VJ helped a lot. There is so much to learn from the forums here. The Guides, visa FAQs, sample forms are of great help and of course the experiences of VJ members.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNeed help in filling out I-129F and G-325A

Hi there,

I just need some input in filling out I-129F and G-325A.

For I-129F:

Part B. # 7 Other Names used ( including maiden name)- What do i have to put in here coz my name is Dahlia Toledo. During my previous marriage, i used the family name of my husband which is Mirandilla. I have previous documents with Dahlia T. Mirandilla. So, do i have to write DAHLIA TOLEDO MIRANDILLA?

For G-325A:

All other Names Used ( including names by previous marriages)

Should I write DAHLIA T. MIRANDILLA or DAHLIA TOLEDO MIRANDILLA?

I just wanna make sure, please help..Thanks a ton :-)

In both documents (I-129F; G-325A), put both names (for other names used): DAHLIA T. MIRANDILLA; DAHLIA TOLEDO MIRANDILLA.

Godspeed,

Dear Lord Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all the wonderful blessings You have given us...Nothing is impossible if You intend to make it happen. Thank you for answering our prayers. Thank you for the early appointment interview. It was Your Hand that directed us on what to do. You have given us more than what we have asked...We asked you to intervene for an early appointment interview and you gave us the option and control on the date we want to do it. Thanks for the **ANY WORKDAY 0700AM** appointment date. You are the only one who has the power and control over this. Thank You, Lord. The Most Almighty, Supreme Being. Please be with us always to give us guidance and control. And we continuously pray to You: "THAT YOU WILL BLESS US INDEED AND ENLARGE OUR TERRITORY; THAT YOUR HAND WILL BE UPON US; THAT YOU WILL KEEP US AWAY FROM EVIL; THAT WE MAY NOT CAUSE PAIN".

Amen.

Where does one begin to thank the Lord for all that is given in ones life?

It is now Sept 29, 2006. Many people that include myself, never thought I could live this long.

You see I am LUVLIFE , I had a Heart Transpalnt on January 18, 1995
I live and breathe and work out hard!!! Beacause in Jan 18, 1995, I was given the best gift of all!!! I was given life as an 18 year old athlete boy had just died and gave me his heart.

I WALKED out of the MN Univercity Hospital 9 days later!! This was a record for anyone having a heart transplant. I too was YOUNG!!! Suffered from a rare heart disease. I received Roberts heart because my body weight had fallen to 127 lbs.

Everyone should see me Now!!!!!

Luvlife...thanks for this wonderful sharing...after I read your post, i have reflected on the abundant graces, opportunities and love that I undeservingly received...God is so good and full of mercy...I thank Him today for making you a part of my journey with Him...you touched my heart...and I know, you have touched others that have read your story...I pray that God will enrich you more...to be a healing presence for all of us... God bless you on your journey! You are one of God's miracles.

Godspeed,

I've lit a candle: http://www.gratefuln...amp;cid=1575489

I added VJ as a group there, if you want to light candles as well.

Please, GOD, help us! I know I've been far from a righteous person, I've been self-centered and oblivious to the plight of others much of my life. But I beseech of you, have mercy on this sinner, and give us all a chance who have reached out to another human being in an earnest attempt to create a bond of love and happiness. I have faith that good things will come to those who wait, and Lord knows, we have been waiting earnestly. Thank you!

I joined the candle lighting too. Thanks for the inspiration. Maggie

Holy God of Israel,
You see my pain and frustration , you see how my heart is grieving, how my soul is tortured. Father God, Help me , Holy Spirit pray for me, as I cannot think of the words . You lead thousands out of Egypt, I am asking for but one. Part the Red Sea, appoint a Moses to work on our case. You blinded the eyes of entire armies, I am asking you to blind the eyes of just a few who are looking into our case. Jesus, take my hand, walk with me, for I am too weak to carry this burden. Be mercifull to those who are still waiting, give them strength and hear their prayers. Show yourself mighty to your people. Fot surely you have stored our tears in many viles. Thy will be done.
Praise the name of the Lord ! Holy is His name.
Amen and Ameen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, hear the pains and the cries of sufferings and frustrations of us patiently waiting for our approvals, interview schedules and visa deliveries. Each of us here has his/her own story of anguish and grief. But we also have our own joys and happy issues. Through your Sacred Heart, we praise and thank God for all the graces and blessings He has given us. Humbly we implore you, to behold our distress, our anxieties and fears as we go through our journey. You know what is in our hearts. Look down upon us, Lord, with compassion. Hear our prayers. One sigh from you will fill our hearts with great joy. Heart of Jesus, we trust in you. To you God has granted the privilege of aiding mankind in the most desperated cases. Come to our aid that we may praise the mercies of God. Help us, especially Jabree, that we may be able to obtain relief and assistance from you so that our cases will be expedited and we will all be with our loved ones soon. In gratitude, we offer to God the satisfactory merits of all our works and sufferings. Dear Lord, we invoke your aid, for the special favors we ask, if it be for your greater honor and glory and the good of our souls. Amen

MrLonely,

I've only just read your post directed to me. I wanted to thank you for the time you took to offer me such a detailed explanation. You questioned whether I would listen to your words - in actual fact you brought tears to my eyes. The way you explained God to me was really quite beautiful. No one has ever touched my spiritually like you just have. So thank you.

Jo, your story of the boy and fawn was beautiful also.

You have both given me much to think about. :)

God and His wonders...and you are one of them, Michellek!...God bless you on your journey...You will have your heart's desire in His time...which is your right time and the best time...To you and your fiance, all the best!

A PRAYER TO MARY FROM THE ACT OF ENTRUSTING THE WORLD TO MARY
by Pope John Paul II

Hail to you, Mary, who are wholly united to the redeeming consecration of your Son!

Mother of the Church, enlighten the people of God along the paths of faith, hope and, love. Help us to live in the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire of human family of the modern world.

In entrusting to you, O Mother, the world, all individuals and peoples, we also entrust to you this very consecration of the world, placing it in your motherly heart.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weighed down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths toward the future.

From famine and war, deliver us.
From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.
From sins against human life from its very beginning, deliver us.
From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.
From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.
From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.
From loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.
From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us.

Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the suffering of all human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies.

Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin: individual sin and the "sin of the world", sin in all its manifestations. Let there be revealed once more in the history of the world the infinite saving power of redemption: the power of merciful love. May it put a stop to evil. May it transform consciences. May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of Hope.

Amen.

Blessed Virgin Mary, please intercede for us. Grant our prayers and petitions and we will bring back all the glory to God. Let us be with our loved ones soon. We ask you this in Jesus name. Amen.

I share your questions and curiousity Sami. I believe there is a higher power but I don't have faith. To my understanding, 'faith' is to believe without question. I have millions of questions. Our dramas shared on this forum are nothing when you consider the plight of the world - the poor, the starving, the suffering, the injustice.

I thank god, in case he's listening, for letting me meet such a wonderful man, and I ask him for patience to survive this process.

I don't go to church, but if there is a god, and he's listening, he can hear me wherever I am. I have love and compassion for my fellow human beings, and if god exists, I hope he's satisfied I'm a good person!
Due to seperation of church and state, I am not asking any god to grant approvals. I am asking USCIS.
Heehee I like your style.

What would be interesting is to do a poll - those approved and religious, vs those approved and not religious. Maybe I will go to hell for questioning His work.
Michelle – I read your post and I felt compelled to reply. I want to share with you some things if you are willing to listen. First of all you are absolutely correct – there is a higher being. It is God – with a capital “G”. This belief you have is many times better than the belief that we evolved from slim.

You say you don’t have faith. It is literally impossible for us to have this faith on our own. It is against our nature to possess it. It is the Holy Spirit that allows us to have this faith. Faith is to believe – you are correct, but you are not correct to assume that it is without questions. I have great faith. I have been close to God all my life. But, that doesn’t mean that I have never questioned my faith or failed God. Trust me, I have sinned many times in the past. And, I will sin again in the future, It is inevitable. And yes, I am locked in an on-going battle within my spirit. The nature of being human every day questions my faith. I have spoken to priests and Christian Pastors that also admit that they too have this battle from time to time and question their faith. Then, what I do when I am aware of what is going on, I simply let it go and give it up to God. Then I feel the battle subside within me and it goes away for a little while. You say you have millions of questions – well every member who has posted a prayer on this thread has millions of questions as well. As long as we bleed, and remain on this temporary earth, the questions will remain. So don’t feel so left out. We are with you in the questions department.

Again, you are correct. The dramas that are shared on this website are nothing compared to the great sufferings and sins in the world. But you must know this. God is pure love. When God allows a man and a woman to fall in love, he is basically expanding his love in the world. When a man and a woman become one union in love, they are literally spreading God out among this troubled world. And as you and I know, this world needs all the love it can find to push back the terrible sufferings that occur in every corner of the globe.

You are good to thank God. Because he is always listening to you. He loves you very much even with your doubts about him. I will give you the secret to finally find out if there is a God. With your heart, you must want to know. Not with your mouth or with your mind, with your heart. If you remove all the walls within your heart, and sincerely seek to know God, then it shall happen. But you are the only one that will know that you lowered the tall walls within your heart.

How do you do this? You simply go to a secluded, quite place with no distractions. You close your eyes and clear all thoughts in your being. You look into the blackness of your spirit and once you finally achieve total silence, you ask God. Do not be surprised when you “feel” yes I said feel the answer upon your heart. It will be very subtle and most softest voice you have ever heard when God speaks to you. Then, after you feel (hear) this, you will be given the choice to believe what you just experienced. God always gives us the choice to accept him or not. No one else will hear what you hear. No one else will be around to influence you one way or another. You will be totally on your own at this occasion in your life.

You say you don’t go to church. Well, let me tell you, I go to a Catholic church every Sunday without fail. But, the church I enjoy the most is when I am alone with God, late at night in my secluded room and I begin to have an open conversation with him. You do not need a man-made building to speak with God. You don’t need an appointment or an invitation. All you need is the choice and the willingness to do this. You can fool others, but you cannot fool yourself with your will and desire. You will know if you actually desire to speak with your Holy Father.

You mention that you hope that God knows that you are a good person. Of course you are Michelle, God does not make junk. You were made beautiful and perfect in God’s eyes. All he is waiting for now is for you to finally use your will to want to know him.

My opinion, if it means anything to you, you are half way there. If you continue to take those steps to him, eventually you will arrive at your destination and when you do, you will be amazed at what you find when you chose to be with Him.

You may not accept what I am saying to you today, you don’t even have to respond to me. But after reading these words I have just planted within your spirit, you cannot escape them. It will be too late. The seeds will have already been planted within your soul!!!!! Good luck on your journey.

Mike

P.S. Michelle - to calm your fears, you cannot go to hell for questioning God - you can only spend eternity in hell when you reject him.......!!!!!!! Hope this helps... ;)

Thanks everyone for all the thoughts... and if I may add ...i got this from a friend and I find it nice sharing to all:

Let me share this you…I find it truly wonderful and encouraging:

NOW THAT'S GOD

It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk. The creeks and streams were long gone back into the earth. It was a dry season that would bankrupt several farmers before it was through.
Every day, my husband and his brothers would go about the arduous process of trying to get water to the fields. Lately this process had involved taking a truck to the local water rendering plant and filling it up with water. But severe rationing had cut everyone off. If we
Didn’t see some rain soon...we would lose everything. It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes. I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my
Six-year-old son, Billy, walking toward the woods. He wasn't walking with the usual carefree abandon of a youth but with a serious purpose. I could only see his back. He was obviously walking with a great effort ... trying to be as still as possible. Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he came running out again, toward the house. I went back to making sandwiches; thinking that whatever task he had been doing was completed. Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that slow purposeful stride toward the woods. This activity went on for an hour: walking carefully to the woods, running back to the house.

Finally I couldn't take it any longer and I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey (being very careful not to be seen...as he was obviously doing important work and didn't need his Mommy checking up on him). He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked, being very careful not to spill the water he held in them ... maybe two or three tablespoons were held in his tiny hands. I sneaked close as he went into the woods. Branches and thorns slapped his little face, but he did not try to avoid them. He had a much higher purpose. As I leaned in to spy on him, I saw the most amazing site.

Several large deer loomed in front of him. Billy walked right up to them. I almost screamed for him to get away. A huge buck with elaborate antlers was dangerously close. But the buck did not threaten him...he didn't even move as Billy knelt down. And I saw a tiny fawn lying on the ground; obviously suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy's hand. When the water was gone, Billy jumped up to run back to the house and I hid behind a tree.
I followed him back to the house to a spigot to which we had shut off the water. Billy opened it all the way up and a small trickle began to creep out. He knelt there, letting the drip, drip slowly fill up his makeshift "cup," as the sun beat down on his little back. And it came clear to me: The trouble he had gotten into for playing with the hose the week before. The lecture he had received about the importance of not wasting water. The reason he didn't ask me to help him. It took almost twenty minutes for the drops to fill his hands. When he stood up and began the trek back, I was there in front of him.

His little eyes just filled with tears. "I'm not wasting," was all he said. As he began his walk, I joined him...with a small pot of water from the kitchen. I let him tend to the fawn. I stayed away. It was his job. I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save another life. As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground, other drops...and more drops...and more suddenly joined them. I looked up at the sky. It was as if God, himself, was weeping with pride.
Some will probably say that this was all just a huge coincidence. Those miracles don't really exist. That it was bound to rain sometime. And I can't argue with that... I'm not going to try. All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our farm...just like the actions of one little boy saved another.
I don't know if anyone will read this...but I had to send it out. To honor the memory of my beautiful Billy, who was taken from me much too soon... But not before showing me the true face of God, in a little, sunburned body.

THAT'S GOD. . He knows the desires of your heart. .

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now you look back on it?

THAT'S GOD! He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

DO YOU THINK THAT YOU ACCIDENTALLY READ THIS?
NOPE!

Let us all share the Power of God.
In all that we do, we need to totally give HIM Thanks and our blessings will continue to multiply.

NOW THAT'S GOD!!!!!!!!

Don't tell GOD how Big your storm is.
Tell the storm how Big your GOD is!
We will all survive this VisaJourney because God is with us.

I had been out of touch from visajourney because I have to do some validation visits for the project I am working with and internet access is impossible since these are far-flung, remote and geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas...I always realize and count my blessings everytime I go to these sites and always reflect on the abundant graces and love which I undeservingly received, most especially when I interact with these marginalized folks and learn that they have just so simple needs. The waiting for all of us in our respective visajourney has a purpose...for one, it has made John and I closer...and I am sure is also true for the majority in VJ...the lessons we learned and the experiences we encountered have brought out the best and worst in each and everyone of us...the prayers definitely made us hurdle the storms and the trials that come our way...the prayers have kept our faith, our trust, our hope and our love alive...that we will be able to achieve our goals...to be with our loved ones and have a sustainable, supportive, caring, responsive and loving relationship.

Five minutes after I finished my novena prayers (asking for the NOA2 approval) this morning while waiting for my boat ride back to the mainland, I received a phone call from John and he was so excited to share with me the good news! Our answered prayer! John and I thank the Lord for all the blessings and for making all of you here in Visajourney part of our journey with Him. We pray that God will enrich all of us here in VJ more, so that we will all be a healing presence for others. Let us continue praying and lighting candles for the VJ group (as started by Mew) for those who are just starting/beginning...for those who are waiting...for those who are half-way on their journey...for those who are almost there...for those who are already together. May God bless us always. May He take charge/be in control when we have done everything we could but things don't happen the way we want it to happen and we feel hopeless. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You. Amen. (L)

Prayer to St. Jude

Saint Jude, glorious Apostle and faithful servant of the Son of God, the Church honors and invokes you universally as patron of hopeless cases. I place before you my problems, sure that you will not turn a deaf ear to my request.

Come to my assistance in this great moment of need that I may recieve strength and perseverance and that I may ultimately accept God's Holy will. (Here mention the grace desired.)

I promise you O Blessed Apostle, to be ever mindful of this great favor and never cease to honor you as my special patron. May the Holy Will of God be in all things done forever. Amen.

I would just like to share this miraculous prayer...I pray that all our prayer requests be answered.

Miraculous Invocation to
ST. THERESA

O Glorious St. Theresa, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind. I implore your miraculous intercession. So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul that the Holy Mother Church has proclaimed you "a prodigy of miracles...the Greatest Saint of Modern Times". Now, I fervently beseecn you to answer my petition...and to carry out your promises of spending heaven doing good upon earth...of letting fall from heaven a shower of roses. Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere" and I will never cease to lead others to Jesus through you. Amen.

(For nine consecutive days, recite this invocation followed by twenty-four Glory Be's [She died at the age of 24!]. A flower, especially a rose, is her sign that your petition is heard.)

Glory Be (The Gloria Patri)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
