CanadaConfused about sending Packet 3

I am getting a little confused. On the Montreal consulate website, the packet 3 checklist it says to send the info by email. But reading VJ everyone has been sending through mail. Did I do this wrong? I don't want to screw this up.

CanadaFor those of us who are waiting for P4 from Montreal:

I also just received P4 and made an account. Where do I look to see interview appointments. I'm on that website, made an account. But where do I look?

CanadaInterview appointment letter

Hello folks,

I have my interview booked for Valentine's day. So of course I would need that letter for my medical. Not sure what that letter is. Is it going to be emailed to me, sent through mail or do I just use that appointment confirmation that I received through email?

Any feedback would be great, thanks.

Thanks. I just hope they don't have the same two CBP officer at Pearson Airport again. So nerve wracking.

CanadaDenied entry

Hi guys,

I've been a little nervous about this.. But I was denied entry twice because of lack of funds to support myself when I was trying to see the fiance in May 2013. I was just wondering, would those denials be on record and will it affect my entry with a K-1 (if I'm approved) visa?

(I think too much into things)

Anything helps to ease my loco head :P

Hey folks. Just wondering, for those of you passed the interview and have received your visa. How long are the processing times for K1 visa to be in in hand?

CanadaPOE

Everything went well. I'm here in Florida now :D I waited about 2 hours in Secondary Inspection due to other people being there and they also took their sweet time. He asked me some questions and off I went. By the way the I-94 is now done electronically unless that's always been the case. That whole process took about 15 minutes minus the waiting.

I meant the Border Customs that are at Toronto Pearson.

So after a long wait for my passport, I finally picked it up Thursday. I was just wondering if anyone has RECENTLY went through Pearson Airport in Toronto on a K-1 Visa? Looked through the reviews but couldn't find any recent ones. Will be going through Sunday and was just wondering what the wait times are for it.

Any info would be great. Spanks!

CanadaInterview coming up Friday...

All I brought was small purse that only had my wallet in it. I did not bring my phone. Security was happy that I barely brought anything but my paperwork. If you did bring a phone they held it for you. I don't think they will have you call your fiance for confirmation. Just bring the proper documents.

As for the interview questions, I can't remember all of them but he asked me when and where did you meet your fiance, how long have you known him, where does he work, his birthday, what are our plans for the wedding. Basic questions. He then says "Okay, I need you to prove to me that this is a real relationship" So I showed him pictures of my fiance and I and all of my Skype and email conversations. He said " Okay I believe that you are going to get married to him and that it is a real relationship. And that was it.

You should be fine if you have all of your documents and then some. It's better to have than not need it than to need it and not have it.

Good Luck!

CanadaInterview coming up Friday...

You got lucky. I got there about 7:30. I thought that was early enough but there was about 8 people ahead of me in line. I did everything Dreamman did but I waited an awful long time to get called up to the interview part, probably an hour and a half.   I was so nervous, I hate any kind of interview. He was a nice guy but he seemed like he had to be serious but I made him crack a few smiles.

I got there in line up at 7:30 and left about 11.  I suggest arrive early and have everything they ask for and you should be fine and also breathe.

Good luck peeps.

CanadaSecond Interview?

It doesn't say anything about 2nd interview. But what mine did was it went from ready to Administrative Processing for a few days then to Issued for a week but it wasn't ready for pickup for another week. I would just go by the CSC visa information website. It will eventually say ready for pick up. When you see that, call them. I never received and phone call or an email. So just keep checking that website where you booked the interview.

Mine said this for a little bit. I never had a second interview. I think it's normal but not sure.

CanadaAfter Interview, Approved. Wait time for Visa? (Montreal Consulate)

It all depends on them and how busy they are. Mine took about a week and a half. I was lucky I suppose.

CanadaAdministrative Processing

Fivefootmomo, how did your POE go? did they asking you any questions at Pearson?

It was good I suppose. My flight was at 300 pm or so.I got there super early. I think about 1100 am. Better safe than sorry. Glad I did because I waited 2 hours in secondary inspection due to other people being there. When it was my turn, they asked for my package. Asked what we were doing for our wedding, how long we've known each other, what I would do for work there, same kinda questions as at the interview. Can't remember much though.

CanadaAdministrative Processing

Hi guys. Not sure where I could find this kind of answer, searched but couldn't find anything recent.  I had my interview at the Montreal Consulate on February 14th 2014 and was approved. Been checking the CEAC site for my visa status and it recently changed to Administrative Processing. I have been reading a couple of posts about it and it kind of freaks me out knowing that the wait can be very long.

I was just wondering, is it normal for a case to be put under Administrative Processing for a K-1?

Oh wow. Can't wait to tell my fiance about this. I guess the states don't want it to be that easy to become a citizen or even live here.
Thanks Dave

CanadaQuestion about travelling within the States

Hi folks,

I recently just married my fiance over a week ago. I came here on a K1 visa on March 1st. We are still waiting for our marriage certificate in the mail. We are planning on visiting his family in New York (we're in Florida now) at the end of May. We are flying there. Just wondering will there be any problems with me just using my passport?

I stayed at Lord Berri. Wasn't too bad. I think I paid around $80 per night. 15 minute walk, 4 minute drive.

Oh yeah, I know that. We're going to New York then Key West.

We're also going on vacation and obviously vacations cost money, hence doing it in June.

I think my I-94 expires I believe May 31st. But I still haven't received my marriage certificate and I need that to file. So you're saying that I'm fine with filing it mid June?
