Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)221(G) document req. CR1

Hi,

I had my interview on July 12th  and my interview went well for CR1 . However, they require one document  that have been submitted to the U.S consulate Mumbai.

It has been 2 days since I have submitted.

As per my passport tracker , it says

Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery

Where in as per ceac wesbite :

https://ceac.state.g...ker/Status.aspx

Its says in Administrative processing.

Question: Does CEAC site takes time to update ? or I have been approved or ? still in AP ?

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)150 days still in AP for CR1

Hi Mellow,

I was short of one doc which the consular has put my case on AP and Within a week I submitted the required doc as per their instructions. and after that they returned back my passport stating the case is in AP. ( This happen in July 13)

In mean while, I contact senator, if consulate required any docs , reply came none.

Then from Nov 13th , 14th ,15th , 18th , 19th, 20th , 21st  my status change to AP.

They requested me to re-sent the same document which they ask earlier in JULY ,I was shocked to understand why would they ask the same doc that I have already submitted back in July .

On 20th Nov 13 ,  I have re-sent the document along with the passport to the Consulate.

On 22nd Nov 13 status was in "AP" then to "Issued"

Thanks and wish all those who are in AP have faith in God. he has the power to convert from AP to Issued.

It's so confusing , it so happen they didn't got the document I sent them first time.hence they requested it again.

Plus my medical is getting expiring  within a month as well :(

Today, I have re-sent it . it's so awkward . my status is change today as well still in AP.

Should I contact the senator or what ?

Thanks every one for inputs.

one doc was missing on the day of interview , then I submitted required doc to embassy as requested.

Also, reached out to senator to inquire further , and embassy replied they don't require any more docs.

Ever since then it has been in AP for CR1.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - December 2013

Nope, that's not normal. Someone must have made a mistake on your case. Call up USCIS tomorrow morning. You're going to have to get it fixed and then sent to NVC. It may delay things for a bit, not sure.

Ugh! These people at USCIS can never get anything right! So mad right now! After 8 months of waiting, I finally get an approval and they messed that up too! Ugh! But I was wondering if an approved tourist visa has anything to do with it? My husband applied for a tourist visa before we got married and he got it approved 8 months after our marriage. He decided not to come since I filed for the I-130. So could that be a reason? Thanks a lot for the help!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - December 2013

Hello Saylin,

I have a question. On my approval letter it states "The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status. He or she should contact the local USCIS office to obtain form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence. A copy of this notice should be submitted with the application. If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the US based on this petition, the petitioner should file form I-824, Application for an Action on Approved or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC).

My husband never came to the US. I applied for the I-130 alone not with I-485. Is this what everyone else is getting on their approval letter? I am worried. Should I contact USCIS? Thanks for the help!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUK police clearance

Go here http://www.acro.poli...rtificates.aspx
Download the application and read the instructions. Your husband will need 2 documents which show proof of his address in Bangladesh and passport photos endorsed by a person not related to your husband (and must be of a certain occupation). I think they also will need a copy of your husband's UK visa.
The directions are very clear. Just follow everything and you should not have any problems.

Thanks a lot for the info!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUK police clearance

Just to be clear, you only need a police certicate from another country not of your nationality if you've lived there for 12 months or more, not 6 months.

My husband also lived in the UK and we needed a police certificate. They are very easy to get. I found the hardest part was getting a bank draft written in British Pounds. Most banks offer this service however most employees are not familiar with how to do it. If you have a problem, print the page off from the bank website and show it to a manager. Good luck!
We paid for expedite service and got it within 4 days. smile.png

How did your husband get the police certificate? Thanks!

How can you find Police Clearance from another country?
Here is how you can find out more information how to obtain Police Clearances from other countries.
Just use the pull down menu to select the country needed.
Scroll down and there should be a section for Police records or Police Clearances.
"A police certificate is required from a country in which the applicant lived for more than one year (six months if you are applying for a K visa) after turning 16 years of age. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, married names, aliases or nicknames ever used while in the country in question, including different spellings of all names ever used. .

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUK police clearance

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding UK police clearance. My husband lived in UK for 3 years and he returned to Bangladesh before we got married. I noticed that people were saying you need a police clearance from countries you've lived in more than 6 months? Can someone please let me know how he can obtain a police clearance while he is living in Bangladesh? I searched on google and found a website. But I am not sure if it's reliable. Our case was just transferred to "our local office," after 7 months. Thanks for your help!
