IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Hiring a Lawyer	Are you kidding me? Did you even read the thread or at the OP's timeline? She received her noa1 almost 12 months ago. She is outside normal processing times for their type of petition and she certainly isn't looking to be, as you so rudely stated to be "put in ahead of everyone else". She has every right to know why after almost an entire year, she still only has noa1. She wasn't, as you stated once again "threatening all this legal action", she stated that she was going to seek legal advice from an attorney that her employer provides free of charge. Although at this point there is little a lawyer can do for her, it never hurts to ask. I will never understand why some people on this site feel the need to attack other members who are seeking advice, or just the kind ear of others for a little empathy and perhaps some understanding. This place is becoming nothing but a bunch of people causing unneeded drama and giving cruel personal opinions. The immigration process from start to finish, no matter how long or fast it takes, is stressful for all of us. Why can't people just simply support each other instead of attacking like a bunch of high schoolers?   the above post returned to viewing without the quote, which was removed. numerous posts also removed for creating/stirring drama, off topic discussion, and so on. if one has nothing beneficial to add to the topic, do not post.  thread bans or worse can follow.	charles! Is there anything that petitioner should do if his/her taxes are filed as Married filing separately (MFS) for the Tax Return in 2012, but previous two years has been filed as Single while he was married ? Basically, the accountant has advised him to file as single in previous two years. Should the petitioner amend the previous 2 year tax returns or just include an extra letter - explaining why previous 2 years has been filed as single while he was married? Which above approach is best to follow in order to have minimal/no issues with Embassy/NVC ? Was he living with his former spouse when he filed single or seperated?
