The list and your signature say you became eligible on 01/24/01 and that you are filing based on 5 year rule, is that a typo? I know you just completed your ROC journey (I was an April ROC filer, too), so I was just wondering. smile.png

 

Hello Missicy,

 

I am glad to see you here. My immigration story is crazy, complicated, it will shock you a little. I think, that is one of the reason it I was one of the last one in completing my ROC.

 

It is not a typo, I became a conditional residence back on 01/2001. In September of that year, we all know what happened, after the terrorist attacks immigration process came to an screeching halt, and the ROC of my condition took almost five years. Back then, the FBI background checks will take anywhere from 24 to 36 months or more sad.png. it was the biggest bottleneck ever. From 2002 to 2008 immigration backgrounds checks were insanely and justifiably slow. the FBI needed to do their job, I understood this, and never complaint about the delays on my ROC. The attacks of 9/11/2001 changed everything, my lost, or waiting for the ROC was nothing compare to the pain and suffering of millions here in America, it was a horrible time for all of us, and someway or another we all, were affected.  By the time, I was called for the interview on my ROC, I had already file for divorce, because of two many problems with my ex wife. I made a huge mistake, and did not change the application to a waiver. Thus, in 2006 my I-751 was denied, and nothing ever happened since then, no removal proceedings, no deportation, nothing. I was in legal limbo, out of status, but continue to work and live here, somehow.

 

Thus, I went to see other lawyers since, but got really bad advice, it was until late 2012 when a very good lawyer convinced me to review my case again, and went to back all the way to 2001, and re-apply for the I-751 as a waiver ( I-751 applications have not time limitations). On April 2013 I re-applied, and got approved just  couple of weeks ago, but my green card is back date to 1/2001, making it my original date of eligibility.

 

This is just  a summary, in order to give you and idea, there are many more details to this story, but in general this is what happened.

Now, I am trying to complete the process, and finally become a US Citizen.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 April 2013 filers

Hello victorian.

I also received email this morning at 1am that my card is mailed on 12.30 but no tracking. Did u received any email with tracking number.

 

 

You have to actually go into the case status web page USCIS and entered you case number there, once you open the notification, the actual tracking number will be there. For some reason, they do not send the tracking number with the email

Hello,

 

Yes, I received an email with notification of shipment, basically they gave me a USPS priority mail tracking number. Priority mail takes about 3 days, but in my case it took 5 days to from ship date to receiving date. Hope this help.

Received my card today. Approved on 12/11,  It was shipped on 12/16 and today is 12/21 i got it, thus this will give you guys a point of reference from the moment you get approved to receiving the card.

 

Unless, somebody else ask me something on this thread, this is my last post on this topic. I will be following the December  Naturalization group. Citizenship is the next step for me. 

Thank you to everybody for the encouraging words, and all the time and effort people put into this.

Congrats! How long you been waiting for your Green card after you got approved? I am waiting for almost 1 month and so and my case status on their website has not changed too and got stocked with my changed of address. I was interviewed in USCIS Jackson Florida and was told that they will forward it to vermont for GC production.

 

 

So far, I just it has been only  a few days, I got approval notification on 12/11/2013.  I have been reading a lot  and paying attention to this very same matter, I have found out that, almost everybody has gotten their card between 3 to 10 days after receiving the approval notification. 

 

A month is definitely a long time, you should probably call and find out is the address change has something to do with it...5 to 10 days is normal...30 days something is up.

OMG guys!!!! I got the approval letter in the mail today!!!!! Finally!!! Letter dated on 12/10 and I rec'd the strange service request letter on 12/11 lol. Really makes you wonder if the service request triggered it smile.png

I'm on my phone now so can't update myself on the list. I just have to share the news first! Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement! Thanks trochero for the wonderful msg as well smile.png

Now I do have a question. How was your name shown on the approval letter? Mine is just my first initial and last name. I'm afraid that's how they'll print it on the card. I might have to call on Monday. But that should be an easy fix. Better that than hear no response smile.png

And also, my letter has a local office address on it though it was sent in a VSC envelope. Will this be one of those x-fer to local office type things?

"On December 11, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

 

I am about cry, somebody please tell me I am not dreaming right now.

It looks like somethings going on with our application.  For some reason we didn't receive a Biometrics request until just last month.  From looking at the list this seems pretty unusual.  No RFE, no notice of intent to deny.  I just e-mailed to ask for an update.

Hello, you are not the only one, trust me. I also received Biometric appointment last month. It is unusual, but not rare. Remember, they (USCIS) has up to 12 months to process the case...at least this is what my lawyer keeps telling me. 

 

In my mind, I am ready to go the distance. meaning, April 2014 for final resolution, I know, it is a lot of time. But, what other options we have? none.

I don't know if my time period has been extended, only know that my case is a more complicated, and that might be the reason why is taking to long. Yes, the 6 months is up, but I don't know what to do specifically. 

What are the implications of the 6 month mark? Does it mean, I can call then, and complain about it?

The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed"

Hello,

First I want to congratulate all the people that are already approved. I cant imagine the feeling!

 

I just wanted to provide an update. My case has been very difficult,  to say the least. Only, until now I am receiving my biometrics appointment for 10/02/2013

with notice date of 9/11/2013.

This journey has taken a good part of my life... but hopefully and with God help I will get there. It is a very long story, which later on I will write for you guys. 

 

I will try to go in for en early appointment as many other others have tried. 

 

If somebody can, please update the list for me, I will appreciated.

I received and email and text notification. Make sure your information is up to date on USCIS website and your email service does not qualify USCIS emails as junk emails...it heppened to me.

got our NOA2 2 weeks ago and still waiting to hear from the NVC as well......I see some peoples time line that they receive it like 4-5 days after they got approved so idk how the whole waiting times go. should I call them and ask for the case number or just keep waiting to get somethin??? and if so what is the number? thanksss and happy waiting games :)

CONGRATS! we recently received our NOA2 saying approved so guess we wait for whats next while prepping for the support papers I need to do. whats the NVC u received??? OHHHH and to the person asking about good flights.....I just booked mine to go see my fiancee on monday from www.skyscanner.com they have all the flights from all those websites in one! and pretty cheap compared to buying off the actual airlines webpages

we have been approved and i am leaving for scotland to go see my fiance tomorrow!!!! the next step is the I-134 papers that I'm kinda worried about and need help filling out.......I still live at home and make money with side gigs, such as dancing, shows, and catering. pretty much all cash in hand stuff.........ive seen posts where the petitioners parents have signed off for being the support. we have money saved and in savings but I'm pretty sure I dont have any way of showing I can be the main support without the help of my parents letting us stay here with them until we get our own place....help on filling this out plz!!! :)

first off congrats!!!!! we are in the process of all the stuff after getting approved and got our NOA2......soooo what exactly is my fiance to send to the embassy first??!!!  DS 230 part1, DS 156, DS 156K, DS 157 and DS 2001????? so he sends all 5 of those? and then do we receive somethin from them saying he can schedule a medical????? thanks for ur help and ONE LOVE :)
