Greetings all. I had a question about the K3 guide on this site. We have received our NOA1 for the I-129 package that we sent. According to the note in the guide it says "Begin assembling information for the interview - vaccination records,...". My question is with the vacination records. Whos vacination records are needed? Both spouses?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurescan documents be notarized locally or does it have to be notarized in the US?
Hello Daisy! All my important documents has been notarized in the states and its free, not like here in USEM we have to pay notary $10 per documents..my husband paystubs, COE, bank statement has been notarized except for I-134 but i will gave it back to my husband in order to notarized his I-134 back in the states to make sure everything's ok during my interview soon...for federal Income Tax Return no need to notarized, CO accept recent FITR (Form 1040), photocopies of Income tax return is ok...even the form signed already you can still notarized,,,,

How does one notarize a pay stub? That makes no sense to get it notarized. As Pushbrk stated, a notary public is basically verifying that the person who signed the document (which has to be done in from of the notary) is in fact who they say the are...but them providing identification. If your husband has already sent you the employment letter from his company it is more than likely signed already...and thus too late to get notarized.

A notary can attest to something being a true copy as well, if they've inspected the original but there's usually no actual need for that in the immigration process. I'd also agree with notarizing a letter about why one didn't file taxes but that's not an issue in this or most cases.

The place to have a document notarized is the place in which the document is signed,

actually, it's $10/document. kinda expensive. =(
is it really necessary to have all the letter of employment, bank statement and paystub notarized?

If he's being quoted $10, he's going to the wrong place. He should go to his insurance agent or bank to get notarization done for free. However, Notaries notarize signatures. The only document that needs a notary is the I-134.

Notaries do not notarize documents that are already signed.

hi! i had my interview last July 1, 2008 for my k3 visa. after the interview the Consular officer told me that my husband's income is not sufficient. but i also submitted a co sponsor (his mom). the CO said that that my husband have to support me on his own. i explained to her that my husband is currently working twice as his salary from last year. the CO said that she is not in the position to explain it. she said wait for my name to be called outside. so as i was waiting for my name to be called, i was thinking maybe my husband's W2 is not enough because he just worked for 4 months last 2007 (he just graduated last april 2007 in the Philippnes).and applied a new job this year after passing his licensure exams in US. so as my name was called, the girl handed me my proofs of genuine relationship(which they didn't even bothered to browse) and a pink paper for delbros, and a white paper with checklist that i should submit the bank statement and certification of present employment of my husband. i submitted the said documents with my passport last july 14.and i called the US embassy last july 22, the operator said that the US embassy receivd my document verification last friday (july18) and my papers are now with the consular officer for review.
my question is am i approved? has anyone of you experienced the same problem in regards with the additional papers to be submitted? how long was your visa delivered. imrealy sad with the way our papers was being processed. thanks... sad.gif

If you submitted additional evidence showing your husband can support you now you should be OK.
Weird the CO didn't accept co sponsor. It has been said before that USEM doesn't accept co sponsors and it's up to the CO whether they will or not but this is the first I've ever seen it put in affect.

i forgot to add that i stepped out of the embassy at approximately 11 a.m. so all in all, it took 4 hours, 95% of which was spent waiting in line. hehe.

btw, they prioritize the elderly, disabled and applicants with children. (omg you have no idea how restless children can get. maybe they prioritized the children because they were getting cranky and noisy. the US embassy officer asked everyone to please maintain silence because interviews were ongoing. tell that to the kids. heheh.)

i used pldt landline and i didn't encountered any prob. be sure to call USEM first to verify if you can already schedule your interview. the number is 301-2000 loc. 5185 look for grace. the best time to call USEM is around 8am.

if USEM will say that you can have your interview sched, then call the call center service 1-909-1017878. that's Php55 per minute.

if they say that they already receive your case but they haven't encoded it yet in their database (that means you can't schedule yet), then ask them on when can you get a sched and be sure that you'll call on that date.

NOTE:
*if you want to save money then verify first to USEM if you can already get a sched because it is a waste in calling the call center if you aren't legible yet in getting a sched (call center will just tell you to call again).
*be ready for your MNL Case number because USEM won't entertain you without it.

Hi NOandJO. Has your I-129f been approved? Have u received the letter from the US embassy?

They don't mail out the Packet 4 anymore. You can download that from the US Embassy website, as well as other important documents such as the DS-156 and DS-157. The first thing you have to do is to pay you NSO verification fee because that might cause considerable delay in the issuance of your visa so you have to do that asap (the instructions are in packet 4). Next, you have to call the US embassy to set up a visa interview. They will be emailing you a confirmation e-mail which you have to bring to your medical, as well as 2X2 pics on white background (plus your passport). You will also have to pay your visa bill at the designated BPi/Citibank branch (the list of designated branches are in packet 4).

Hope that helps! Message me if you have any more questions. =)

US embassy in Manila issues new rules for visa application

By Veronica Uy
INQ7.net

STARTING November 1 this year, applicants for non-immigrant visas to
the United States would be required to use an electronic visa
application form available for free on the Internet, the US embassy
in Manila said in an advisory.

"The US Embassy will no longer accept handwritten or typed
applications after November 1," it said.

The new rule, the US embassy said, would speed up the interview and
application process, and save time for the applicants. About 1,000
Filipinos apply for US visas every day, one of the highest visa
applications in the world.

"[Applicants] will spend less time in the consular section on the day
of their interview since they won't have to wait for embassy staff to
manually collect information from handwritten or typed applications," it said.

Instead of writing their information by hand, applicants may download
and complete the form via the Internet, http://evisaforms.state.gov.
They will be required to bring a printout of the completed three-page
form with bar code to their interview. "When printed, each [form] has
a unique 2-D bar code that US Embassy staff can electronically scan
in order to input the applicant's information. Use of the [form],
which has been available online for more than three years, allows for
quicker and more accurate data entry," the advisory said.

The embassy said all other processes and requirements for applying
for a non-immigrant visa remain the same.
