Africa: Sub-SaharanK-1 Interview in Nairobi

Visa was approved today at Nairobi Embassy. Hubby asked so many questions. All went on well. We thank God for the visa.

Africa: Sub-SaharanK-1 Interview in Nairobi

A pettion that I filled for my fiance has just been approved... I'm not sure if the Narobi embassy will accept it and issue a visa. this is because I've been hearing of folks being denied with the crazy "bonafide" reason.

If I may ask, what are these stuff that can cause a petition to be "not bonafide"?

I sent phone calls, tickets, and pictures of us together. what does the consulate want?

I just think they are really full of it sometimes.

Take a look at this website:  Travel.com http://travel.state....nials_1361.html

Your chances are higher you have shown commitment... just prepare properly when you go to the interview and and it will be an easy breeze... Goodluck

Thank you. I appreciate.

Yes I had both interviews in Nairobi, they asked many questions on the second interview though I don't remember the exact questions but all I remember is I kept challenging the co

Did the Co ask you tricky questions and how did you keep on challenging him?

Thank you all for your replies.

I have gathered over 13 months Phone call logs that shows we talked for long daily, travel stamps and tickes of both when meeting, hotel bookings and receipts, letters of Intent, Many photos of us together and my parents, a few e-mails, and receipts of money i send to him.

What else is really required?

Thanks.

I wish you all the best in your second petition. My second petition took only 27 days to be approved by the uscis because I sent a lot of evidences proving to them that our relationship is bonafide.

I filled for my fiance last year but his petition was denied due to lack of bonafide relationship as the consulate said. The petition was sent back to DHS for further review. I had to wait for 120 days before a decision was made on my case. After the 120 days, I got an email from the uscis that my petition had expired and I was free to file a new one. I filled a new petition on August 2013 and it was approved and the file sent to NVC then to Nairobi. We have booked an interview in December. My question is , what are the chances of my fiance being issued a visa since its a second petition?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsToo Much Info for Nairobi

My fiance went for his interview in Nairobi and all he had was the phone calls from the calling card that we used, flight tickets, hotel tickets, photos, moneygram receipts, engagement ring receipt, gift receipts and I wrote a letter of intent intending to get married within 90 days of his arrival. I also requsted the congress man to email the Nairobi consulate and let them know that our relationship is mutual and genuine. Just be very specific with each proof that you have. The Nairobi consulars are very tough and they want to make sure you are in a mutual relationship.
