But wither way good, luck and hange in there, at least you know that on this site EVERYONE knows how you feel and shares your same pain. Ricardo is from the city but of course he has family from Las Tablas, and I have roots in Chitre, so yeah I have a pretty strong background from Panama, I am going to retire there.......I couldn't imagine retiring anywhere else LoL. Since you filed in Sept most probably you'll have your NOA 2 by either Jan(earliest) to March (latest) I know the estimate isn't fun but in the end it's well worth the wait right? Fill in your timeline so that way VJ can give you the best estimate they have. Also did you file in CSC or VSC? even though we're both from FL I've seen ppl from FL being transferred to any of those two. You should go to Decameron, it's way better than contadora, all you have to do is drive 2 (may 1.5 hours) from the city and you're there. LoL thanks for the advice, most probably he'll come on COPA, also I forgot to mention that to send a copy of the packet to your fiance, you're better off using a courier service like DHL, there are several offices in panama city, just ask your fiance which one is closest to her (there's one on Tumba Muerto, Paitilla, and I think El Dorado) so have her tell you where and when you drop of the packaged tell them you want it sent there and to whom it's for. Also, when she receieves paperwork from the embassy, they will contact her (so make sure they have her current phone number) so she can go and pick it up and fill it out there. I woudl suggest taking some of the guides that they have here on this website so that way she can practice filling those out properly. Other than that you just...............have.............to ..................wait................ Nothing else we can do.................. Her Birth Certificate, and any other records (record policivo, acta de divorcio, etc) to be translated also. Another thing you should do is send her the exact copy of everything you sent to the service center. send her the pictures you sent and a copy of the letters or whatever you sent in the packet showing that you guys have a legitimate relationship. Also, once you get approved and she gets her interview i think that you will be able to go with her to the interview. I've spoken to another panamena that got approved in May and she said that both her and her fiance were there at the embassy (el que esta en Clayton ahora) during the interview, BUT I'm still trying to get more info from the embassy to confirm that. I've e-mailed them but of course they haven't responded so if you send them and e-mail, and I send them another e-mail maybe that's a sign that they should respond anyways, when is your next visit? I'm going in december for christmas and New years, and ricardo is visiting me in November for my sister's wedding and thanksgiving. (Oh by the way you CAN visit each other during the process). So where exactly from Panama are you? where do you live in the states? I'm in florida orginally from Coral Springs (Ft. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ATTENTION JULY FILERS!	Wow and to think that all of us were fretting and impatient for our NOA2's a few months ago!. Well, Ricardo picked up his packet 3 at the Panama Embassy today, and he was surprised at how "easy" the forms he has to fill are. He's very excited, fortunately the lady at the embassy explained everything to him: all he needs to do is turn in some forms so he can set a date for the interview; and they also explained to him which documents he will need for the interview. I don't know who's more excited me or him! I went to their website and they have nothing about tracking the status of a visa. Also, I'm not too clear where to send the I-134, to my fiance, the embassy, NVC? I know how to fill out the form but I really don't know what to do after having my NOA-2 issued. It's the last week of July...........ok so it's not a date, more of a range but you get the picture.... I can finally take measurements to buy my dress, and my mother is already looking into places for the reception. I'm having my ceremony at the beach; which by the way is FREE in south florida, since the beach is public, and for everyone......etc etc. as long as you don't rope out a specific area you can do just about anything there... I have this new sense of positivity which is awesome. Ricardo left last Monday and since I'm in finals it's been pretty hard to stay happy, but let me tell you the sense of euphoria that I feel right now is great....anyways just needed to get that out... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ATTENTION JULY FILERS!	Today (Sat., 8 2007) started out pretty crappy for lack of a better word. I had pulled an all-nighter for my Pharmacology Final Exam (Yes, I had a final exam on a sat) and after feeling completly defeated, I went home to take some well deserved sleep. Later on my day got better, I went to a Christmas musical with my friends and then we went to eat. When I got home i did the usual: turn on the pc, check my e-mail when all of a sudden I see the word CRIS in the "from" section, just as I was about to spam i did a double take when I saw the words: Case Status Information for in the suject line....""could this be??" I thought, I opened it and there it was!!! In plain black and white the words: "Current Status: Approval notice sent" I can't believe it! the day has finally arrived when I can now add my name to the NOA-2 recieved list! You guys have no idea how comforting this is to me during a time of high stress and anxiety know as "finals week". The approval date says Dec 7., and what's ironic is that when I went to check my status yesterday the site was under maintenence until Monday!! So I guess this was God's way of saying "practice being patient!" I'm soooo happy, regardless of how my grade will be in Pharmacology, I know that I'll be with my other half soon! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ATTENTION JULY FILERS!	Here's a random question which will probably add to the wedding discussion: How many of you ladies will change your last names when you marry? I'm still debating whether to do this since I'm still in school. Everything is under my maiden name, and when I take the boards (in 2-years Lord willing) it'll have the info my school gives them, therefore my Pharmacy Lic will have my maiden name and so will my PharmD degree.. My fiance says that I don't have to change it because he knows it will be a hassle changing everything. I like his last name but at the same time i keep thinking: "i will graduate as a Dr and that is something that I accomplished, me, no one else"......it sounds selfish i know but think of it.......I've sacrficed approx 6 yrs of my life so I can get a degree, don't i owe it to myself to use my last name with a prefix before it? and my fiance also understands my point of view, which is why he says there's no need to change my last name b/c he knows it's a huge accomplishment in my life (what can i say he understands me at all levels ) but at the same time, i want to show that I'm happy and proud that I'm married to him by using his last name. (so you all see my dilemma here) Anyways I can always hyphenate it but my name will be too dang long, my first name is 8 letters, my last name is 10 and I use my middle initial, imagine adding 8 more letters to my last name!! So Dr Debz - what is your diagnosis?! here's the deal. i had killing migranes since my childhood, and not even the strongest pain-killers would help. it was so bad that i couldn't see through my right eye and couldn't move my right arm. the cure: relaxiation-gymnastics like yoga or easy pilates-exercises EVERY night right before you go to bed, for 10 minutes. plus: cardio-workouts like running or cycling or walking , 30mins / 2 times a week. there are scientific studies proofing that the combination of yoga and cardio-workouts prevents up to 70% of all migranes. if a migrane-attac strikes: 2 cups of coffee + chocolate+1 liter of cold water + peppermint-oil on your forehead. if possible 600mg of straight aspirin. lie down in a cold, dark room, no clothes, just a blanket. after 2h you should be fine. chocolate and coffee are known for helping against migranes, most migrane-medication has caffein in it. hope this helps, it saved my life at least Actually what you have is not really a "migrane" you have cluster headaches (behind the right eye, and very debilitating) so that's probably why the caffeine works for you. A "classic" migrane is one where you feel the pain "evenly" on both sides of your head, in that case caffeine is not really efficient because the caffeine can cause rebound headaches, in that case you don't use painkillers (tylenol, motrin, or even oxycodone) because that doesn't target the sourse. When it comes to migranes you usually use triptans, or better known as imitrex and all the meds that derive from it. But i also notice that you do yoga and pilates and all that healthy stuff which is awesome and waaaaaaaaaaay better than taking drugs. Just because I'm in pharmacy doesn't mean I think that drugs are the cure for everything LoL. I'm about as confused as you, and it sucks that they were able to find a loophole in the process......but I also think that she has a friend who's a laywer who gave her tips on how to file, but either way she is incurring no Law fees........Sucks doesn't it? I'm trying to look on the bright side of things: If Ricardo were with me right now, I would have NO time for him. I'm currently in my toughest year of school, I'm up until 4-5 in the morning every day, I wake up at around 11 am, to continue studying, and It's a miracle that I manage to find time to talk during this period.........so I guess in the end it's all worth it because by the time he gets here the worse will be over and my third year in school is alot smoother than this year (2nd year) But I'm still jealous, I filed a little bit later than them and he already has the interview for AOS(yes the actual one for the green card) in November here in Orlando	michellemilitza	Female	Panama	2007-10-01 12:37:00

Ok people something waaaaaaay off topic here.......As I was dreaming about my future with my other half, I started looking into the requirements to apply for the AED and the Advance parole, in my serach I noticed that USCIS has an efiling option for both the I-765(AED) and the I-131 (advance Parole), but the only one it doesn't have is the AOS I-485, Also another thing is you have to register again, even though you are registered to recieve updates about the status of your I-129F, for some reason you have to put in your info again to fill out these forms........ Anyways i did a mock application and the very first question it asks you is "have you already submitted an I-485 application?" so I'm assuming that you have to send that in before you fill out the app. So, the point of this post is: what do you guys think? do you think it'll be quicker to file online for these apps? or should I just do it the traditional way using snail mail? Bad news for K1 & K3 petitions, but maybe good news for those applying for AOS? : ¨The Application to Adjust Status (I-485) will have first priority because USCIS needs to ensure that these applications are receipted in a timeframe that would allow processing of an application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) within 90 days of filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)]. Our second priority will be to receipt the Application for Naturalization (N-400) so that we can minimize any delays in obtaining citizenship. Imagine I went to Panama in May for about the same price (off peak)! Unfortuantely though to go visit him in December it's ridiculously expense, the cheapest I could find was $787 (including taxes) but leaving from Orlando...it's 6 hrs to travel (beacuse I make 1 stop) but to go directly from MIA to PTY is $800-$1000!!! and it only takes 2 1/2 hrs by plane to fly from Miami to Panama.... The longest I went without seeing Ricardo was 9 months but it wasn't because of financial contraints, it was more of "taking time off" constraints, we were at a crossroads in our relationship, deciding whether to continue or just throw in the towel, I gave him an ultimatum and he said "I need some time" (typical male) ANYWAYS...........to make a very very, gut wrenching, tearjerking, romantically dysfunctional story short....I went to Panama in May which was the end of the semester for me. I went with the expectations of this being the last time I'll see him and that I was going to say goodbye to him forever. I was NOT expecting for him to propose to me AT ALL, but when he did I was so dumbfounded, I couldn't believe it! The night he proposed, when we fianlly went to bed (*wink , wink*)I woke up in the middle of the night to look at my ring to make sure I wasn't dreaming!
