Hi! I just called the embassy today and Ms. Grace told me that my visa is for send out.
I suggest that you also call the embassy and ask about the status of your visa. Who knows, your visa is on the way too.

Its about 5:45am that we started to fall in line. During this time BE READY WITH YOUR APPOINTMENT LETTER AND A VALID ID. And make sure that you do not have any electronic gadgets. I brought along a bottled water, the guard at the xray section told me to open and drunk a little to make sure that it was really water.

At the waiting area, the guard called the applicants by row to get their queuing number. Be ready with your 2 SETS OF DS 156 & DS 157 and 1 COPY OF DS 156K. Make sure you paid in the bank. I heard that yesterday there was an applicant who was not paid yet.

After that wait for your number to be flashed( not in order) for the pre screening. The lady asked me questions about what we wrote in I129F supplement question no 18. When and where did we meet. How long did he stayed here. Because my fiance just stayed for 6 days i had to explained to her why. The filipina pre screener asked for my NSO birth certificate, CENOMAR and NBI Clearance all original. After that she told me to sit down and wait for finger scanning.

I waited more than an hour before my name was called at window 33 for fs. When I got there the lady at this window was not able to find my application. She even asked me if I heard her called my name. I told her yes you did call me ma'am. I told the filipino assistant that I saw the lady accidetally put a stamp on my appointment letter without having my fingers scanned. He told me to just sit and they will just call me again. can you imagine how nervous I am? lol.

So I went back to the waiting area, and then my number flashed for interview at the consul. So I told the lady who facilitated the interviewees that I had not done my fs yet. She told me to just sit and wait for the my turn. When I got inside I greeted the consul good morning (good thing he replied). When he typed my name he found out that I had not done with my fs yet. He asked me if I did that and I answered no Sir. So he told me to just come back and have my fs before the interview.

After the fs, I had to greet the consul for the second time. He was very nice. He just asked or confirmed the things that were asked by the filipina pre-screener. other questions are how old is my fiance, when was the last time i saw him, where is he working, his age,is he living alone. is he single. am i single...

then he told me to wait outside. I take a look at BENG'S GUIDE. the releasing counter is at window 37. The guy returned the other documents that we submitted at the USCIS ( I had bunch of them) and told: JUST WAIT TILL WE HEAR FROM US. Asked me the receipt of the documents verification and told me to pay delbros......That's all. I am done. Thanks GOD!

Now that the reality is here I juat wanted to (hopefully honestly) hear from some of you out there.---IN ALL HONESTY!!!!

What has it been like for you here in the USA?
In my case, I fell that I have matured in many ways especially in decision makings. I can't just think for myself but also consider about my husband's thoughts about things.

For those of you that have been here for about a year now, is everything the same for you? Is your love still as strong? N/A

What if any problems have you had in your relationship and how have you overcome them?
We have few adjustments in the first few weeks and until now we still do. The good thing about us is we talk about it with open mind. I listen to him, he listens to me. I am not afraid to admit that its my fault and I ask for forgiveness and try not to do it again. He does the same thing too. We analyze the problem and think of the solution instead of giving up.

What do you miss back home?
My family and food. I missed my friends too but they are quite a distance from where I was working. So it's all the same we still communicate.

How long after you have been here did you wait until you returned back home to visit?
My husband told me I can go home this december or after I got the GC hopefully soon.


What did you think life would be like here in the USA before you came here and now that you are here what do you think? What would you tell someone life is like here?

I did not expect more when I was in the PI. I know it will be though and different. Well, it is as what I have expected. Well, if someone ask me I will tell them that is not easy. Take a lot of courage. You have to think about it carefully. This is real life not a fantasy.

Do you find our foods to be the same or totally different?

I think it is just the same food in most cases. The difference is just how we cook it. I cook our food in filipino ways.Fortunately, my husband does not complain because he does not know how to cook either.

Has any of his/her friends offended you in anyway and how did you handle it?
One time, with a filipina.She is not that friendly.


Have you had any racial issues?

Is your husband/wife everything you had hoped for? Has anything changed?

He is the same man I know in most ways. We talked almost everyday when I was in the Philippines. There are few differences when we are together. Nothing major though.

What have you enjoyed the most about being here in the USA? What have you not enjoyed?
I enjoy being my husband and his family. In AR, I do not enjoy the heat.

My TOR were not authenticated and it was accepted here for evaluation by AACRAO. Some Evaluating Agency will require that your school will send the TOR directly to them. In AACRAO they only asked for a copy.
