DCF means that you file directly at the embassy, which you can only do if you have been a resident for the last 6 months in the country you file in...so we have been in Madrid together for over 4 years...so no problem there! we file on wednesday...supposedly it is a lot quicker this way because its all done here i believe, but i am still nervous. where are you from in Spain? where are you living in America? i am from San Francisco, so that is where we will be moving when we get through all this. i can't wait....i have been living abroad for over 10 years (was in London before Madrid) and with a baby now....i just crave being home near my family. fingers crossed it will happen soon! good luck sending your forms off tomorrow and i hope to hear from you soon! xx	symphony	Female	Spain	2009-08-29 03:57:00

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)	Spain to America - shipping advice	hello there! firstly i love this site. our visa process was very quick and smooth, but i know it would have been different had it not been for the wealth of information i found here. absolutely brilliant. thanks to the countless people whose posts guided me through our process. soooooo we are preparing to move very soon to America...visa has been approved and we are ready to do some serious planning. we are in the middle of getting quotes from moving companies here in Spain....we dont have a lot, but it is our whole house we are more or less moving, so we need to have it done professionally. just wondering if anyone has had experience doing this and can recommend a good moving company based in Spain? thanks in advance! xx symphony	symphony	Female	Spain	2009-10-29 16:58:00
