US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionBeneficiary Packet in Native Language?

Hello!

Does anyone know if the information that is sent from the Embassy to the beneficiary is in their native language or is it all in English?  My fiance has pretty good conversational English but I'm worried some of the forms and things might be confusing.

Thanks for the help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy phone number is too long?!

Hello!

I just started the process of applying for a K-1 visa for my fiance and I have a question about the initial I-129F form.  There is a place for phone number but it is the (xxx) xxx-xxxx format.  Since I am currently living in Japan my number is (xxx) xxxx-xxxx format and therefor won't fit into the form.

I thought about just writing it in and having one number outside of the boxes but the instructions say the form is read by a special machine and won't read anything outside of the boxes or anything with correction tape/white out on it.  Does anyone have any experience with this? What should I do?

Thanks!

Travis

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 & Foreign Income

Hello!

I am currently living and working in Japan. In regards to the I-134 form I have no income in the U.S.  My father will be a co-sponsor for my fiancee's visa but I'm confused about how to fill out the forms.

Since I have no U.S. income currently does only my father fill out the I-134 form or do we both fill out the form with me using my paystubs and financial information from my current job in Japan.  I plan to get a job upon returning to the U.S. next year but as of now my only income is foreign earned.

Thanks for any help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Co-sponsor question

Hello,

I am currently living and working in Japan and will be returning to the US with my fiancee in August.  Becasue I don't currently have a job in the US and my bank account there has just enough money in it to keep it open my father has agreed to cosponsor.

Do i also need to fill the I-134 as well as my father? If so what supporting materials do i need to provide? I can't give a letter from my employer becasue I will still be in Japan when this paperwork is due.  Or do i give a letter form my Japanese employer? and Japanese bank account information?

Thanks!

Travis

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDocument Translation

I have a question about document translation.  I was under the impression that all documents in a foreign language must be translated such as police records and such.

I just read on the NVC website that only documents in a language different from the interview countries language must be translated.  For example my fiance is Japanese and interviewing in Japan. Does he still need to provide a translated version of his Japanese documents?
