K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAlmost 60days and no NOA1
QUOTE (D&N @ Nov 25 2007, 01:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Wow, I remember those days. We applied in June, and didnt get the NOA1 until August. They couldnt even find us until then. The first thing you should look for, is the cancelled check, then get a photocopy of the back and your receipt number will be stamped there (hehe, IF you can even read the dam thing, it was difficult to read ours). They cashed our check about 10-15 days after we mailed in our petition.

Our NOA1 finally showed up in August, after almost 2 months.

Best of luck to you,

David and Nitadyah

i start to worry now. The check haven't been cashed. I am afraid our app be lost .But i don't know how to check if it come to CSC. WE didn't use certified mail.
some one here said that 3 month for NOA1 is too long. It is often for NOA2 to be wait. I am looking for the check to be cashed to know that they got our app, but haven't. So worry!!
some one give me advice that what should i do now to find out where is my app!
Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAlmost 60days and no NOA1
Hi everybody,

We have not received our NOA1 as of today, Nov 25.

We are starting to get very fustrated. I sent our application to the California Service Center on October 2. The problem was that I did not send it by certified mail, thus I have no confirmation that it was received at the CSC, but I live in California myself and severely doubt that there was a mishap by the USPS.

Nonetheless, I have called USCIS 4 times and spoke to the lower level customer service rep and twice been transferred up to a higher level rep, and all 6 of the people state that the NOA1 can take up to 90days with all the current delays. But here on VJ, I have read that some people are receiving NOA1 much quicker.

Does anybody have any advice with our situation. Do you think an application can get lost in transit between northern and southern california? Are NOA1 really taking up to 90days at this time? Is there any way to contact USCIS and get more information on our "case" when it has not even been logged into the system yet?

Any help is more than appreciated.

VietnamInterview timeline HCMC
Hi, Im a Vietnamese. My fiance is an American originally. Im heading to get my interview in July 13th. i have a question: does my fiance need to send a timeline to US consulate here before my interview? I heard alot of people said about timeline. I told my fiance but he keeps thinking its unneccessary, its just for someone is trying to make fake visa and got blue slip from US consulate. He is American so thinks very diffirently. I tried to tell him sending a timeline to US consulate but he doesnt want coz our American lawyer said he has never heard about the timeline. So im very confused. What i should do? I made a timeline by myself and told my fiance fixing it for me. Didnt anyone have a timeline for K1 visa but still got pink? Please give me an advise. Thanks.

PhilippinesUS consulate interview
QUOTE (annaliza36 @ Aug 10 2009, 04:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi everybody,
I found this site very helpfull to my K1 visa application. All of you guys are very resourcefull. I have a question regarding the interview in Manila. Is it strickly English speaking or are they going to provide a translator upon request?? My fiancee can speak little English but he has trouble engaging English conversation. We are both Filipino so we have no problem with our communication. My I-129F application was approved but I am worried he wont be able to get through the interview because of communication barrier. Is anybody have any idea?? crying.gif crying.gif

Hi, there.
In Vietnam, the consulate officers in HCMC will conduct interviews in Vietnamese in case a visa applicant can't speak English well.
Therefore, as far as I know, normally their way would be same, i.e. the consulate officers in Manila will conduct interviews in Filipino in case a visa applicant can't speak English well. Besides, they also have local employees who will translate for the applicants.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly 2009 Filers

Hey guys. Love reading everyone's posts but I may start getting a little jealous b/c the ones of you who have joined from the California Service Center will always be a month+ before the ones of us who are at Vermont. crying.gif

Wanted to share that there is a July '09 filers forum for California as well. But truly excited for everyone that is sending in their I-129Fs or CR-1s ... seeing their checks cleared ... receiving their NOA1. Such an exciting time for all of us.

My fiancé hired a visa attorney in Dallas, TX to do the paperwork for him. The petition was filed about end of June or early of July. Since 3rd week of July, my fiancé called many times and even came to attorney office to check for update info at the attorney. Yet until now Aug/10, we haven't got any news though that attorney. We haven't got NOA1 and application receipt number after more than 1 month that the I-129F was filed. Anyone of you faced this situation ? What we should do now ?
