Hi, we got approved only this Nov. 30, I know there's still so much to wait. My question is: My hubby visited me here in the philippines May of 2006 and we got married june of the same year. Would it be a problem in my interview if he just visited me here once? Coz we're just being practical, he just bought a house last april, so, ....... plus the fact that in the next few months, I'll be preparing for the interview, medical etc,, and plain ticket, thus I need money for that. Any help?

Hello, i dont think it will going to be a prob, however the interviewer will probably asked you why it happened so fast. I was asked the same thing when I went to the embassy to claim the citizenship of my son which ended up in asking a dna test. My husband and I were married in 2004 when he visit me the first time (we we're talking online for almost 2 years before we meet in person) so obviously we have something for each other then even before we meet in person. The second time my husband visit me was only this year of Jan because we agreed that he should finish school first. I got pregnant and had our baby only 8 months and 1 week. The dna test doesnt really matter but to me its a bit off when he asked me if I re-marry, well how can I re-marry if I am already married, he even ask me if I am sure that I never re-marry. Got really pissed off but I stayed calm, c'mon common sense - my husband can't even afford to buy ticket to Manila from his own pocket how much more to pay a lawyer for the annulment case in order for me to re-marry but maybe thats how they do the interview, tricky at times. I have the same issue. My husband's 2007 tax didn't meet the 125% poverty requirement for a household of 3 (including himself). His tax for 2007 filing status was single and has no dependent, however in our I-864 we include our son as dependent sad.gif He told me his income for 2008 meet the poverty requirement and filing not due until April 15? I am scheduled for interview on Feb23. Is it ok if he will just photocopy w2 and 1099's once he got them and send me a notarized copy of his certificate of employment? We are currently reproducing I-864 as he do not have a copy when he submit it to NVC. Thanks!

When he filed his I-864 he didn't make a copy (well he usually do unless he is told) and I don't have any idea what documents he submitted to NVC. I was confident that he was doing his thing in a correct way since we received the instruction from NVC. I was doing my DS-230 at the same time. Not until when I asked him that I need a copy of all the paperworks he sent and received from USCIS and NVC just incase needed for the interview.

He told me he earned about $26K in 2007 however as per his ITR it shows he only make $19K and I saw a W2 that says $4K. We need about $22K as per 125% poverty requirement. MY interview will be on Feb 23 and I need help how are we going to get through this. If we need a co-sponsor please let me know so we can work on it ASAP.

ITR 2008 is use if your interview is set after April 15 but if its before that 2007 tax is fine.


Is it ok if my husband file his tax ahead so I can use it for my interview in Feb 23 because his 2007 tax didn't meet the poverty guidelines however he is telling me that it did based on the pay stubs and he will be asking for certificate of employment to prove it.

casa bocobo is ok but its a bit more expensive than cherry blossom or citystate hotel. try checking out the last two i mentioned, their prices are reasonable and their rooms are clean



I need a twin sharing room sis and I think casa is 50 pesos cheaper smile.gif I also cannot find how to book online using credit card with 2 other hotels. I also sent an email and ask them their modification terms just in case mag change date ako but no reply yet.

I think it is a nice hotel, it's just newly opened in the middle of last year.. but you can also try citystates hotel.. it is clean and very nice..



Is citystates hotel near st. lukes? I will check that out. I want a place to stay that I do not need to commute. thanks!

I'm seconding that, not only is he making death threats but he's apparently cyber stalking you gathering documents about you (like the marriage certificate). There may not be anything illegal about him getting a copy like that, but it's damn sure creepy. Honestly your husband shouldn't be hanging out with this dude based on that one post alone.

I'm sick of hearing about how foreigners just want green cards, people who met me once and don't know me at all (ie, friends of family members) even think they are somehow qualified to judge my relationship as being used for a green card... luckily since I'm fairly anti-social I don't have to meet a lot of opinionated a-holes and nut jobs... hopefully anyone I see on a regular basis will have enough tact to not make those kind of statements around my fiancee (SOON TO BE WIFE!) as I'm willing to introduce them to another stereotype that is well known... the violent american man!!!!

I think they sort it out already, he should be thankful i am still here in the PH. I have been very quiet since they attacked me on myspace which i am not connected with the fanclub they created for my husband. yeah it is a normal fan club but it involves attacking me and my personal relationship, my husband requested to shut down the fan club as it is not pertains to a real "fan club" but it is still visible online.

my husband has been warned him before when the first time he dragged my name on myspace where they created a fanclub for my husband however they have been mentioning me in that group and posting some documents like marriage certificate they got online. 1 of them apologized already but this one is kinda missing one of the bolts in his head and continue harass me in words thru my husband.

I had my medical last Feb 4 (wednesday). I arrived at 1:00 pm and was done at 3:40 pm (for day 1) - not alot of people in the afternoon because those who came in as early as 5am are probably done by 10 or 11 am smile.gif

Hi im planning to go to SLEC 2nd week of February kasi March 4 pa naman ang interview date ko. Pwede ba na yung email ng appointment ko ang dadalhin ko sa SLEC? Sabi ng US Embassy Call Center Agent ba yun na pwede ko daw makuha ang K packet online.just fill up the forms online daw and print....hindi ko alam ano gagawin ko eh..saka pwede ba na yung NBI Clearance ko yung dating address ko ang inilagay nila instead na present address ko?

Ang ginawa ko pa.nag advance check up na ko sa local hospital last week../.negative naman result ng Xray ko..negative then ako sa hepatitis..at nagpa HIV Test din ako kasi i had blood transfusion noong nagkasakit ako so to make sure na okay yung blood nagpa HIV Test ako 450 pesos ang bayad ko at negative naman ang result.I will bring my result to SLEC if i will undergo medical check up para may basis din sila.


yes sis you can bring ung email appointment letter and if you have records of vaccinations dalhin mo din importante yan. u will still need complete the tests at slec and as long as u dont have a scar in your lungs you're good to go. goodluck smile.gif

I agree smile.gif I just received my smear test result yesterday and it turned our negative pero i still need to wait for 2 months for the culture result, available daw sya by april 15 but they told me to call on april 22. Sana maging nega din ung result ng culture kse there's an old guy there who told me that his 3 smear test turned out nega tapos slec called him after a week na meron daw nag grow na bacteria so he was under medication na agad and every month daw nag sputum test sya bale 2x a month. haynaku! sana naman mag nega ung result natin sis. goodluck sa atin smile.gif

thats how they are sis. i did email them before using my email account they ignored it for 2 days but when i use my husband's account, they replied after 2 hours. when my husband arrived they call our house to set an appointment for my son's crba, i was the one who picked up the phone but still the guy on the phone asked to speak to my husband just to tell him what time we need to show up and my husband was like ... "hun its 8am blah blah blah" i dont know why they need to talk to someone who will just going to pass the information to the other person. they can actually talk to me and tell me and were done since I am the wife but the thing is i am a filipina.
