National Visa Center (Dept of State)Email from NVC regarding interview (split topic)

Hello everybody! I really need help in something. When NVC sends the email with the case completed, sends also the date scheduled for the interview at the embassy? or should I wait another email for that?

Thanks to all

Al

you should wait for another email with the interview letter.

One you pay the fee (if you pay before she arrives) it arrives about 3 to 6 weeks after she POE's.Why are you

so afraid of a denial? Did you not prepare a good petition package? Do you have a hard embassy. have you read all your countries interview reviews to see whats up and what to maybe be alert about?

I dont know, maybe because we are young (21) and they might think that we are trying to commit a fraud or something like that. So far I see people saying good things about their interviews here in Rio de Janeiro and most of them got their case approved. I'm just paranoid with this situation.

God knows whats the best.

eh - it's not the delivery method,
it's the creation of the visa packet,
and this isn't done till after the casefile is marked 'issued'.

visa packet generation takes some time.

Yea, the lady told me that the casefile is marked issued there and I should wait another week. The mailling from Rio to where I live usually takes 2-3 business days.

Looks like it was issued on the 8th. That's still less than a week. There is no need to worry for now. Depending on the method of delivery used, it can take up to two weeks.

yea, we are just anxious get the visa and take the flight hehe.

usually a week to two weeks for generating the visa packet, after 'issued' tag,
but then a courier gets involved.

suggest you call DoS Hotline and inquire for casefile status.

Thanks Darnell, I will wait a week and then call, since today is holiday here in Brazil . Guess there is nothing for me to worry about it, am I right?

Our visa status on CEAC shows that the visa was issued but we think that is taking too long to get in our hands.

Issued

Immigrant Visa Case Number: RDJ------15 01 RDJ

Case Creation Date: 29-Mar-2013

Status Updated Date: 08-Nov-2013

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

any idea of how long it will take?

anybody?
AmorimMaleBrazil2013-03-31 17:57:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 (AOS) doubt

Yes it can be different. What the main point of all this is you to show immigration that you intend to come and setup a life here.
Kids registration in school. Or your enrollment in college or accetance letter to school. Job offer or job applications. Just showing some things from that list.
Usually residence, bank account, voter registration, drivers license is good.
A job or seeking employment is even better.

And you are no bother. Nothing wrong with asking.
I am sure more people will chime in who actually had to do this.
If you asked these domicile questions on the NVC filers thread you will get more expert info. Especially from the Canadians who have strict domicile setup.

thank you very much for the support,

what about my fathers been an illegal immigrante can I use his address which is the onde that shows up on my license and bank statements? is there any risk of getting him in trouble?

About setting up a domicile, does it have to be the same address that we've put down in the i-130 form?(adddress in US where your relative intends to live in) ....I have an adress with bank statements and my driver's license registered in it, can I use it? but this same address is the one that my father lives in but he is not a legal immigrant yet.
in case if I get a lease contract under my name can it be a diferent address as the one in the I-130?

sorry for bothering with so many questions...

Go here to the NVC filers thread read Post #1 and #2. #2 especially all about setting up domicile.

http://www.visajourn...ers-march-2013/

Everything that was sent to IRS has to be in the I-864. Thats why its better to just order the tax transcripts it has everything .

thank for all the information and for been patient with me...

Apart from the letter, you're going to need to include proof of domicile, showing that you intend on moving back to the States once your wife gets her visa.

what can I use as a proof of domicile, could you give me any clue?
and for the joint sponsor will the w-2 form and 1099s be needed?

hella again,
I have been making a checklist for the AOS packet, so I want to know if there is anything missing from the following list:(I will be using a joint sponsor, since and I don't live in US).

- Last 3 years of IRS tax transcripts
- Original employment letter
- Pay stubs.
- Citizenship proof.

And from a me letter explaining my situation.

Thanks for all the help so far...God bless you all

Then, like I've mentioned twice now, you'll need to write a letter explaining why you haven't filed with the IRS for the past three years, and attach it to your I-864. I had to do the same thing. I can be relatively simple, just address the fact that you've been living abroad and haven't been working.

 Ok, thanks for all the replies! =)

Thanks for all the informations.
So far, I have find out that I do need to fill a form as the main sponsor and another one with the join sponsor. I don't work here in Brazil(actually a sell clothes but its not really a job, just an additional money at end of the month), so there is no way for me to show any incometax.

Hello guy, I've just received the NOA2 yesterday and I am getting ready with all the documents needed in this NVC step.
1. Affidavit of Support- since I live in Brazil with my wife, what can I do about that? Do I have to fill an I-864 in my name and another one on co-sponsor's name?

2. Should I contact NVC now or should I wait around 30 days as they said in the NOA2?

thanks for now

No, stuff doesn't need to be notarised.
How much "proof of (re-establishing) domicile" is needed depends on each consulate. A rental contract is a good start, but may not be enough, some more stuff would be good, such as proof of having left furniture in storage, US based bills (cell phone?), valid drivers license, enrolling kids in school etc.

In case if I send my Drivers L. and bank statement, which the address is from my friends house is there any problem, since he is an illigal immigrant?

thank you for all the support

Hello VJ's

I started filling the I-864 for my spouse, since I live in Brazil with her, I cant be the principal sponsor. So I was wondering, when filling the i-864 at Part 6 and 7 should I put $0 for everything? since I dont work here in Brazil.

for the joint sponsor he needs to fill the i-864 right?

Have you sent in your DS-3032 (choice of address and agent) by e-mail, and has it been accepted? If you e-mail it, you will get a form e-mail that it has been received, and in several days another e-mail that it has been accepted. After that it will be a few MORE days until your IV bill is generated.

yes I did sent the DS-3032, but they didnt reply saying if it was accepted or not... so I will just wait for that.

thank you very much buddy

Yes. Wait for the next instructions. :-) Goodluck!

sorry up there it was supposed to be " Taday it showed as paid my AOS"

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDs-230 confused

Hello all VJ's,

I am preparing my documents to send to NVC but I had a little doubt, should I send a translation along with the documents?

I read this at the instructions for the DS-230, " All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC."   Since the interview is going to be held here in Brazil is there any need of sending the translations?

thank you.
