K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresafter the interview

Caramel, again you are putting your perspective on her marriage, if you would bother to read the yardie thread, it goes back years and you will noticed that most of the marriages were of older woman to younger men and a lot of those marriages are still in tact. To answer your question regarding the average JA man I would say "The average Jamaican man can't afford to be married in Jamaica, hence therefore he isn't going to marry anyone." Again, I refuse to stero type anyone or any situation.

Everything and anything in a long distance relationship can raise a red flag, I have seen where those who think they have the "perfect relationship" i.e regarding age, culture , marriage don't last. Those that you least expect to last, turn out to surrive other's judgement.

I am not putting anything on their mariage and I know it goes back years for older Amrican woman marrying younger Jacan man and it's was a problem then and is still is a problem now when immigration is involved. I am not judging their marriage I just said that sometime the CO already have there minds made up that the marriage is fake bcuz of the age difference. They don't bother to look at the evidence I said in my post earlier, "that their denial was probably predetermined". Yeah you right when you said the average Jacan can't afford to get married yes they can't afford it if they are having a big wedding. At peace be for real how many Jacan young men you know wants to get married at age 22 even if they can afford it. This is probably what the CO are looking at. Jacan men are already judge for using older American woman to get to the US thats just the way it is looked upon. I am not sterotyping anyone situation it's not me anyone needs to worrying about sterotyping it's the CO bcuz sad to say it's what they say that counts. You are correct when you said long distance relationship can raise a red flag even the perfect relationship don't last that is the way of life.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresafter the interview

For those who have indicated that the age difference is a factor for denial of visas coming out of Jamaica, can you point to where you have seen indications of that from other petitioner from Jamaica. I have been reading these posts for years, I have never seen where a petition was denied because of a large age difference in Jamaica. Let's Not start rumors, when it isn't so.

At Peace we are not saying that a age differnece is the factor for denial of visas coming out of Jamaica but you must admit that it raises a flag. For cgayle case the CO probably had it predetermine that the marriage had to be fake b4 the interview started. what she should do is have all her evidence together to show them that the marriage is real whenever they get a chance to. I know when I went to my fiance's interview one guy got a denial because the CO said that the marriage wasn't real bcuz they only had 4 pple at their wedding. The CO ask the man What JAcan gets married and only had 4 pple at the wedding? The man that was being interview was lost for words he didn't say a word he looked confused. In this immigration process the least of any mishaps can be your down fall. For Mrs.cgayle don't take this the wrong way but their is a huge age difference between you and your husband. The average JAcan man does not get married at age 22 they are looking to sow their wild oaks so one have to wonder if a 51 and 24 yrs old marriage is for real.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresafter the interview

I called the Embassy the same day he had his interview. No one in Kingston would speak with me. I called the Visa Center and USCIS at least 2 times a week. USCIS just contacted me on the 31st of June to inform me that they receieved the paperwork on the 29th of June. There is an age difference between us of 27 years. We were married September 6 of 2009. I sent all phone logs, pictures, and all information pertaining to me visiting him in Jamaica. We were married in Jamaica and his mother, 2 cousins and his brothers girlfriend were present. My cousin and her husband accompanied me to the wedding.

Are you the oldest? I'm not trying to get into your business but you said there is a 27yrs difference how old r u and how old is your husband. When there is a big age difference it doesn't look that bad if you are in your 30's but if the person is younger like in there 20's it makes a big difference. will type more later gotta go

I don't know where to find the Jamaica topics on this website. Can someone please help me?

Why did you wait so long to inquire about what happen at the embassy. How long have you been married. What is the age difference? How many people were at your wedding these questions/answers can sometimes give a red flag

Hi Caramel from what I can tell the forms need to be filled out and taken to the interview.

So LadyC' you are saying that after you receive packet 3 you don't have to contact the embassy about anything, also after receiving packet 3 you just wait for the embassy to send you packet 4.

I have a question about packet 3. I read about all the form you need: 156, 156k, and 157. Do you send these forms back to the embassy or do you fill them out and bring them to the interview.? This for Kingston Consular.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionEmbassy Fees

Did you get the answers to your questions darling? Just to reiterate...

Your fiance will have to pay $350 visa fee at NCB. The receipt he receives after paying that fee will need to be taken with him to his interview (alongside all documents specified in Packet 3). In addition, he will need to pay for his No-Impedement form, his Police Record, and his Medical.

Hope that's everything. Good luck.

Your fiance or you will need to pay $350 visa fee at NCB Bank. you will then bring the receipt to the embassy when you go for your interview, also there is $100US your fiance will pay for his Medical if your fiance needs any immunization shot he will pay at the medical center. It is wise for him to look about his shot record before he goes for medical exam I believe it you get any shot at the time of medical it about $5000Jm or dollars per shot. Another thing your fiance will need to pay for his Non-impediment form that is around $6000JM and the Police record will also run him almost $3000JM and DHL fee is about $800JM.

US Citizenship General DiscussionRescheduling to a specific date

My brother had a date for his Biometrics he could not make it when he called USCIS they told him to write a letter stated the reason why he could attend along with a copy of the notice to the address on the NOA if you have to reschedule.

US Citizenship General DiscussionRe: citizenship interview
I don't know if this helps but my friend applied for is citizenship a few years ago and ran into the same problem. My friend was ask to provide receipts of child support payments which he didn't have because he paid his baby mothers with cash anyways my friend wasn't able to provide receipts of child support payments and they deny him his citizenship even though both of his baby mothers wrote letters stating that he supported his kids and that he was a good father. The CO did not want to see any letter they wanted to see receipts.

I have another friend who applied for her citizenship and she was denied also because the CO wanted receipts to prove that she was supporting her kids back in Guyana. She couldn't produce any receipts at the time because she send money back home mostly with family members who were going for visit. She alway have some family member traveling back to Guyana but anyway her mother is the one that takes cares of her children back home. Her mother wrote a letter and had it notarized through an attorney and they still denied her petition saying that was not enough to prove that she takes care of her kids. All I'm saying is your husband receipts should be enough because immigration didn't want to see letters in both of my friend cases they wanted to see hard core evidence like receipts. Good luck!

You applied for 130, he will receive everything at your home address or whatever address you used on your paperwork. He should get both GC and SSC. You do not need a lawyer. My friend that is a lawyer told us that you only need an immigration lawyer when you have waiver issues, or criminal issues.

Hello, VJers,
I just want to conduct an informal poll concerning experiences with the USCIS online status service. (Go to https://egov.uscis.g.../jsps/login.jsp and register if you haven't already.)
I understand that many people are not getting emails at all. My question is among those who are getting emails are you getting emails for each touch or just for status updates?
I ask because my package got a touch on Friday but I didn't get an email or a text. I know my email is right and gets through though because I changed my password and immediately got a notification that I had done so.
Thanks in advance for responding.

I did not get an email when I was touched, but I did get an email when my status was updated.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsExactly 6 months yesterday, no word from USCIS (NOA2)....

He was dishonest about the K-1 process as a whole. He did not tell us that there could be a possibility of us not getting the ACTUAL visa in under a year. He did NOT tell us that we were JUST filing a petition and that we were NO WHERE NEAR getting married and AOS. After he received the first payment was when we found out that the 90-120 day wait period to get our "K-1" visa now had a wait time of 5 months "give or take". Where was this possibility before? He failed to disclose vital information about both the K-1 and K-3. I honestly felt that he pushed the K-1 route because he knew he could make more money off of us. We also did not know about NVC, or that there are also wait times at the consulates where the interview is held. Whether the interview wait time is 1 day or 6 months is irrelevant, we just wanted to know what to expect....

We were very misinformed... :(

-End Rant.

I am not trying to be mean or anything but you should have done your homework in regards to which visa process would fit your needs. You cannot believe or trust lawyers they just tell you whant you want to hear as for calling USCIS that person you spoke to is getting you the run around. When my brother filed for his wife he had a lawyer and when the lawyer was bs him around I was was able to call and get info about the case.

I e-mailed Embassy for Packet 3, and they said they mailed it to fiance, what do I need to say in e-mail to get them to send me the info via either one of our e-mail addresses?

Thanks, :help:

Most people do not get packet 3 for some reason but what your fiance need from package 3 is the DS 230 you can get it off the internet. When you get it fill out email the DS 230 to Kingston Embassy with out the DS 230 THEY WILL NOT ISSUE A INTERVEIW DATE. Your fiance can also send DS 230 by courier service like DHL or FEDEX.

My fiance had the same problem but what we did was go to the local clinic and ask them if they had his records on file which they did so they just record it on a new immunization card for him. He also went to a private doctor to get the shots he needed I believe the shots at Hope Medical is 5000 or more per shot. For the Hep shot he got them a month apart and he did not come up right away so he was able to complete all of his Hepatatis shots.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI 130 petition

Starting a new topic isn't going to get better answers - You need to find out why they returned your petition - either the embassy did not believe your marriage is valid or there is something your husband did not tell you - You need to read the similar topics on this, get your senator involved, find out what the reason was -

Sus I agree with you on that one. I think one or two things did happen. Either they thought the marriage was fake bcuz of the HUGE age difference or the husband said something for them to implied that the marriage is fake. It is unfortunate that the CO's hold our future in their hands but it is their job to weed out valid and invalid marriages the sad thing about it is, sometimes they get it totally wrong.

Sounds like you will have to start the process all over again. When my brother petition for his wife back in 2003, their case was almost considered abandon because they have not made any contact with NVC in almost a year. It was by the skin of his teeth he was able to continue the petitioning process. The day my brother called NVC they informed him that a letter was send out stating that the case was being drop/abandon due to the fact that there had not been no communication in a year about the case. What saved my brother was the fact that he never received the letter that they said was send out to him and that he was still living at the address that was listed on his petition. They told him he had to repay the visa fees and that they would not drop the case!

Hi all,

My medical is coming up, and i was wondering if anyone knew how much it will cost for me and my 4yr old son?
we both are missing one shot.so take that in consideration when you reply, if it helps. i called the medical
facility that will conduct the medical and was told by the lady on the phone to take $50,000 jamaican dollars
that is roughly us$700.00 but i think that is way too expensive. so if any one can share any info that would be
appreciated, and anyone from jamiaca who had their medical done already would be an assett.

thanks guys.

If you are going to Mobay it is $100 and I think I saw it somewhere that kids are half price. Shot at Mobay Hope runs about $5000 per shot. It you can get to the clinic before your appt. that would be great or you can go to a doctors office to get your shots that's what my husband did and it cost about $7000 for 7 shot
