The one from the website says that form expires in 05/31/2004 There is one from the state.gov website that is the current version, but it does not have the Ciudad Juarez seal. But, just to be safe it would be better for us to pay it in Ciudad Juarez, since the kpacket instructions specifically says that All K1, K2, K3 and K4 visa applicants should pay USD$131.00 visa fee at any Banamex Bank in Ciudad Juarez, Chih., Mexico before they attend their interview at this Consulate. When we get married I want to use his mothers last name as well. I know it is going to be harder to change once the process is done, but we will eventually look into it. My step-dad has his mothers last name as the middle name and fathers last name as his last name. I think they are use to all types of last name arrangements so there shouldn't be a problem I will be calling Juarez at around 5:30 pm today after I get off work. Then I will ask them and let them know that NVC has told me that they have sent Packet 3 out. Then I will ask them if we could now go ahead and print everything out and head down there. That is all I will ask. I will let you know of their response as soon as I know something. Let me know if you call them too. This will probably be my last call to Ciudad Juarez, hopefully. That is the same news I got last Friday NVC told me that Juarez sent out my invitation October 29th, but Juarez said a different sorry so I don't know. I called NVC again just to confirm and they are still singing the same tune that Juarez has sent out packet 3. He entered within 2 minutes...very fast. We could not go yesterday as we had to go to the bank first to pay for the visa. It was very crowded as the day before was a holiday. I called everyday to NVC and they always told me the same thing...that Juarez has not received anything. I basically gave up calling because it was depressing me. Then one day (it was a Friday) I called and they said it was sent out the day before. I did contact my congresswoman to inquire on our case. She sent me a letter, too. Said that she got confirmation that the letter was sent. Not sure if that helped or not,, but it couldn't hurt. They seem to be very helpful. After they told me the letter was sent it took about 10 days for me to receive the hardcopy in the US. His however took over a month in Mexico. I really think you will hear something soon. You know that it is there. No matter what the NVC says...it is there. They don't know anything really until it is sent from Juarez. Trust me it's there. I know it is frustrating hearing the same thing day after day that they haven't received it...but it is there. You will soon be here. Sandi Do you remember what number you kept dialing for NVC? is it the 60 something or 212-something. I guess I will be calling NVC this friday and Juarez next Thursday and see what happens. In other words, immigration approved the case that way and never suggested doing it a different way. I was told when I called immigration that we would be fine if we had her mother's last name be the middle name (That is how I have my identity as well here in the U.S.). I also asked Juarez that question and they said that as long as my gf lets the immigration officer know that we were told to do that....we would be fine. For the DS forms though, I will include her family last names just like in Mexico (fathers last names + Mothers last name after the first name). Andrea how did you guys do this? will we have any problems? Juarez has her as the 129 F (in the U.S. form), I guess they already know that here in the U.S. there is no mother's last name. I think I will be doing this as soon as they give me the green light. I was hoping I could go either the week of the 9th or 16th. I called NVC today and they said Juarez still has not received my paper work. I am starting to get depressed and I am trying not to lose faith but it is hard.
