Canada2 RFE's :(

It is supposed to state the salary - but if they won't give it to him....they won't - so the paystubs are better than nothing. I'm assuming you mean they specifically asked for a letter of employment.

Also, I just noticed you said you sent W2s - did you send the tax returns (1040s) as well?

(2) Job Letters and Proof of Income link

Pay stub(s) showing income for the most recent 6 months and letters from all current employers are no longer required as initial evidence. The applicant, however, may submit either or both of these items (1) in response to a request for additional evidence (RFE), or (2) with a Form I-864 if the applicant believes doing so would help establish that the sponsor meets the governing income/assets threshold. If submitted, letters from current employers should show dates of employment, the nature of the job, wage s or salary earned, number of hours/weeks worked, and prospects for future employment and advancement. It should be sufficient for the employer to say that the employment is of indefinite duration or words of similar effect. Promises of future employment are not required.

CanadaIs it an AMERICAN thing???
Justicia is correct- U'll probably never get a "Ms" anything in Michigan. I was there for a year while on my F-1 and it was very different in terms of respect. I too think its a southern vibe. Went to a after-school program with children and they all called me "Ms" and one spanish kid called me MOM lol, mind u I'm Jamaican

CanadaForm G-1145

Can you clarify what position you're at in the immigration process? I'm confused by your time line... lol (confused about what you'd be filling out a G-1145 for now, I mean... I thought CR-1 visas were pretty much done with it when they POE'd, since you get a temp PR card right away, don't you?) You can only put one name and one email address down, so it's whomever you'd want to have receive the notifications.

ROC maybe???

CanadaForm G-1145

Hello all;
The form G-1145, E notification. Do we put both names the Applicant and the Petitioner names. Or is it just the name and e-mail of the Petitioner? Who is the applicant, and who is the petitioner? I can't seem to get this.
Sorry for the lame question.

Marie

As far as the G-1145 is concerned, its for ur info as the applicant of the I-485 packet... Your spouse would be the petitioner of the I-130 packet but the form G-1145 allows for either you or your spouse to get notifications as it is not limited to you or him. Either of you can sign/complete if needs be

Thanks again. I guess I went crazy with the evidence because I didn't want to miss a thing and get an RFE. My lawyer wanted $600 to file for me and I decided to do it myself  so that explains the boat load of stuff.

On a side note, have you guys gone to couples counseling? Fighting/arguing (no violence) in marriages are very common. Infact it is needed to keep eachother in line. Any marriage without "fights/arguement" is a sham marriage. And that's the truth.

SOOOO TRUE...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTax Transcript for 2009
From my experience that is bologna (hope i spelled that correctly lol). That isnt necessarily true but could depend on when you actually submitted or filed your taxes. Hubby filed his in February and within the month, I requested transcripts, via fax and mail (sent in form 4506) and got replied mail including year 2009.

As mentioned, I believe it has to do with the time you filed but I could be wrong. Try requesting it via mail or fax and see if you'll get the same response. All the best.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI 485 vs I 751 forms
All very good answers... It all comes down to the fact that its better to be safe than sorry. You dont HAVE TO have a joint account with your wife, but it would be wise to do so just to be safe... For example, at the ROC stage, many IOs look for joint accounts and joint tax returns specifically to prove that there has been not just a bonafide relationship but also a co-mingling of funds... The tax returns (filing jointly/married) is the ultimate proof to some while others look to joint accounts or health insurance as sufficient...

To sum it all up, think about it as an option; you can have your separate account but also have one with her... It also looks good to the IO because that way you both have access to mutual funds if needs be... All the best

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionunstable husband...roc interview

We have joint lease, joint taxes, credit cards, pictures, joint bank accounts, utility bills, family plan for cell phones, renters insurance, disability insurance with me as beneficiary, vacation we took together, letters from friends and family stating that the marriage was entered in good faith.
We don't have joint health insurance and we don't own a car (not necessary where we live), and we don't have kids either.

Does that seem to be enough evidence?
Do you have any idea what would happen if the worst case scenario comes true and my husband decides to not go to the interview with me?

You have enough evidence, its jus the issue with getting him to accompany you that is a problem. I'd out-right ask him what he intends to do (nicely)... This would help you make a better decision

I assume you did your I751 already so i won't ask "are you sure about this'? lol Yes She has a Colombian passport so she is still a citizen of Colombia right.

Yep, remember that she is a conditional resident (conditionally living), not a citizen. So until she becomes a citizen of the US or another country, it'll remain colombia

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDMV Investigations Won’t Issue Drivers License

Question....

I haven't done the driving test since being in the US because our car had a minor issue that wouldn't let me use it for the test. I do drive occasionally using my license from my home country which is still valid (I've been a licensed driver for over 13 years). We just bought a new car that's in perfect shape and I was planning to head to the DMV next week to get my state license. Based on what I'm reading here it seems like they'd shoot me down if I tried to get one. A couple months ago I applied for a state ID and because we don't remove conditions until July (card expires in October) they issued an ID that expires the same date as my conditional residence card.

Do you guys think I should just drive with my home country license and my state ID and wait until AFTER we remove conditions and get the 10 year card to get the state license? I don't do too much driving in general...hubby is always behind the wheel. I just don't want to and get stopped on the road without a state license.

What would you do?

Not an expert on the issue or anything but in DE here, I wasnt even allowed to get a State ID with my married name... They said new policies restrict usage of married name unless in the form of a passport, GC or another ID (how dumb if ya cant get one in the first place?)Even though they ask for letters, leases and marriage certificate (all reflecting new last name); they had no real value as it all got down to my I-94 which has maiden name.

I'm deciding to wait until the GC arrives to do my DL and anything else because apparently that's the only way its gonna get done.
