Unfortunately you need your casenumber which is on the NOA. I tried to work mine out early from the info they put on the check but it was nothing like the case number when it finally arrived.

I just put:

1980-1998 approx 15 visits.

The dates after that I could just about manage! (though checking the expired passport, I found I got some of those wrong)

I just answered as accurately and honestly as I could (at the time).

I don't believe they could wish for anything better

10 weeks til we sent our stuff in now and it looks thin compared to some that I have read here:

going for the minimalistic approach and see what happens:

4-5 joint bank account statements - one for every 6 months
4 Disposal utility bills - one for every 6 months
copy of joint ownership of house
copy of joint mortgage
copy of health insurance
copy of airplane tickets from last years holidays
no pics - we only take pics of scenery!
and a couple of affidavits
and the mandatory stuff

about an eighth to a quarter of an inch

That is more than we are going to submit. Looks like a healthy balance. I personally don't see the point in photos as they provide very little evidence. Especially if the reviewer has no idea who is who!, just a micro-second glimpse of the possibility two people were together and so easy to compose with the basic computer software these days.

Yes, you need to supply evidence over the whole period of your marriage, not just one year.

The minimalist approach seems to be:

One bill in joint name for every 6 months
One bank statement in joint name per 6 months
Tax return for each year (so 2-3 depending on time for AOS)
Car, Health or other insurance in both names
joint lease or joint mortgage or joint property deed (if possible)

as well as the other evidence you sent.

Affidavits and Photos are not necessary.

If it cost less than a dollar to send, then it may not be enough blink.gif

I went lighter than you at 40 pages of evidence, but I included mortgage and deed in joint names as well as a joint bank statement for every 6 months.

I avoided avidavits as well. We just don't have joint friends and I work away most of the week.

• Copy of Life Insurance showing spouse as primary beneficiary

That is odd. I sent mine to CSC last thursday (Check still not cashed though) and used the new form. The old form I looked at a few months back also said MI goes to CSC.

However, the Instruction form with the same version states the address (as I live in Michigan) as the one in Nebraska. But, I just went to the website again and downloaded again, and all though the version at the top is IDENTICAL it states a different address this time, the California Service Center. The rest of the form looks to be the same, just the address is different.

Strange...

Hopefully I'll find out soon enough if it arrived there, or will land back in my mail box.

How long to receive a NOA once delivery is acknowledged by CSC at the moment?

The only real nightmare was finding $545.00 in the runup to Christmas!
I have the NOA which extends the Conditional Green card a year and my ability to travel so I am not unduly worried. If I get an RFE or a request for Interview then so be it.

I sent 39 pages plus the application (and the check):

TAX RETURNS 2006 AND 2007
Copy of Health ins cards
Copy of life policy application
Copy of house deed
Copy of mortgage
4 bills (1 per 6 month)
4 bank account statements (1 per 6 month)
a copy of the IRS stimulus letter in joint name (sort of proof we DID actually file jointly)

and that was about it apart from the copy of the green card.
No photos (I still do not see this as relevant, they have a picture of only one of you on file!)
No affidavits (too much hassle)

I have been to the UK twice and at the moment I am working on a project in Canada so travel out of the USA weekly. My conditional card expires in 2 weeks and I carry the letter of extension with me. As yet, no noe has asked to see the letter.

Yes, I would say joint mortgage or lease is vital. I never submitted affidavits or photos. One joint bank statement from every 6 months a utility bill in joint name every 6 months. 2 years joint tax returns and a couple of emails showing we had airline tickets to the same place. 39 pages in all and 62 days from start to finish.

Travel. I travel every week and I am sure they know on their computer screens at immigration that you have applied. I travelled last week to Canada with 2 weeks left on my conditional green card and no-one questioned me (I did have the letter in my pocket, just in case smile.gif)

Recap on evidence if it helps anyone:
Copy of green card
Joint deed on house
Mortgage copy
2 years tax returns (not transcripts)
1 page from joint bank statement every 3 months
3-5 other bills covering 2 years
joint health insurance copy of cards
email copy of 2 confirmation of airline tickets for 2 holidays
No Photos
No Affidavits
39 pages in all

I dunno. It costs a lot of money, preparation and time to get this far down the line. I think all of the processes thus far could be processed quicker and think a lot of the 'lag' in processing for AOS, K1 etc could be to deter these folk. Also K1 at least has FBI checks.

My only complaint is the distance. I am in Upper Michigan and it is a 7 hour drive to Detroit!. Apart from that I found them friendly and helpful during the biometrics (mine were done in Grand Rapids)

I am in Michigan as well. Would you mind tell me about your experience with the Detroit office? I am waiting for my naturalization interview.

You don't need to send everything, just a copy of a statement from every 6 months. I only included about 5 pages from a joint bank account.
I just sent about 40 pages in all and got approved in 63 days. (No RFEs)

That is a lot of evidence. Personally, I am not a believer in photos. To reference your photo they have biometrics, but do they know what your other-half looks like? no.
You don't need your passport or birth certificate.

The rest looks good!

I did not include photos or affidavits and got approved in 62 days (CSC)

They are primarily after evidence of your joint financial life together in the same dwelling, so file all the joint lease agreements and tax returns. Bills with joint names covering the total period of your marriage.
They are not really interested in evidence that you own a camera. I did not submit any pics and got approved without any hassles.



But you do need to file the AR-11
