With Gods blessing of course and not having any problems ever with immigration. We have truly been blessed from above. I am so grateful to my friends and family for everything as well. Hey guys hope you had a great Tuesday. Well as Farid was leaving to his citizenship interview he was called by the local USCIS office that his interview would be rescheduled due to the fact that it was today and he has not completed his 3 yr requirement till January 20th. So he will have to wait for another interview letter. Darnit.

We are so closeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Shucks

Danile, I dont post very much anymore but I want you to know that you can do absolutely everything right and still end up with a heartbreaking result. I know now looking back that I should not have brought a substantially younger and very uneducated man here to the US because I ended up supporting him for 3 years. He ended up emotionally leveling me and physically destroying me. As much as I wanted to blame him, it was my fault for sponsoring him to the US. He showed me ample signs when he was overseas that he was not really full of good character but often its so hard to get the person here, that we want to overlook things they did along the way. You have to find a way to forgive yourself and understand that as much as it hurts to be used, it sometimes messes up the mena persons mind to pretend to love someone they dont to get something. They often tell the people from back home they meet that they are in a fake marriage and the longer they stay in it the more stupid they look ( hence the whole you ruined my life thing) Yes other people have been through what you have been through. There are women who in 2007 had the world by the feet and are now foreclosed on 3 years later because they brought someone over here who couldnt carry their weight in a failing economy. I literally know one girl who brought a guy over here from Algeria and as the economy tanked in 2009, she MOVED AWAY and left him behind in the city she sponsored him to and moved out of state like leaving a puppy behind. Unfortunately there are some sad stories and mine was awful and remains awful and it was my fault. You have to understand that if he is unhappy, he will always be unhappy just like there are miserable mean americans, there are petulant spoiled brat mena guys too that will never be happy. Especially if they married you just to get out whereever they were living. If it was real love, they would work at things...and you do see people in this forum who's husbands try and are trying. Not every story ends bad but if it does, realise that you couldnt do any better and there are others who got hurt by this often difficult process. I was absolutely used for money and papers and was never loved and it hurts to admit it but I was and so were other women I knew. It doesnt mean everyone else was. But I was and it hurts still to today that I was targeted to abuse. I was naive and refused to take good advice before he landed stateside and would have done myself a favor if I would have divorced him during the wait. Instead, I wanted to beat a dead horse and ended up thousands of dollars in debt and sick and worse was to come. There comes a point that you have to forgive yourself. Please start doing that and do what you need to do to be happy again.Please..

I admire you for telling us your story.

Middle East and North AfricaFlorida? Anyone?

I see you like the second-hand stores. There are so many of those around! Oh and here's a tip for you. Too many drivers down here don't understand the meaning of a red light. So when you're at an intersection, and your light turns green, LOOK before you go. I've had more than a few close calls.

You are also a maniac when you drive girlscout, I have first hand knowledge, you are right up there with your brother Farid. (L) :P

Middle East and North AfricaFRUSTRATED re: Biometric Passport Renewal

Thanks I will try CVS too. Yes, your right about these local places should do difference specifications and background colors.

Today, I received another email from the Consulate in N.Y. I actually cannot believe they emailed me back twice now in regards to my questions. The man told me that my husband did not need to be fingerprinted since he had the new biometric I.D. done in Morocco last year. All we have to do now is send the required copies and application. However, there are other things the website does not tell you, like you have to have a consular card + fee and be registered here before you can renew your passport. Also, no checks are accepted only money orders and, you have to send in a self prepaid mail envelope so they can also send your passport back to you and the only form of mail accepted by the Consulate is US Post Office Express mail as well.

I finally found all this information on some other immigration page and they were very helpful and directed me with all the answers necessary to file and renew his passport. Nevertheless, the colored background is still an issue, but the consulate is suppose to call me via what they said on the email.

Every Moroccan national, who resides in the USA must be registered at the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in New York to get a CONSULAR CARD.

Anyways, hopefully now we can send all the renewal stuff soon.

In the FAQ's section of the Consulate's website it does say everything you have just mentioned. You probably just did not read that section. :luv:

I have been reading this entire post and enjoy all your comments. You people are really fantastic in trying to give Farid advice. And yes maybe Lisa can come on board and you guys can help her. I have learned the hard way not to ever give advice on how to obtain a visa as others don't think I know what I am doing. So I only stand from afar and applaud  those who are alot more intelligent than I am in giving advice. This MENA forum is the best.

Still awaiting Farid's oath ceremony. Wohoo Morocco here we come. :luv: :luv: :luv:
