Thanks everyone for your input.

I wish everyone, a quick approval and safe arrival of your loved one.
To respond to Mononoke28, I do not have a "last updated" field anywhere in my case status online.
Just
"Reciept Number: wacxxxxxxxxxx"
"Application type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
"Current Status: Case recieved and pending."
Then a paragragh saying they recieved my petition on January 09, 2007.
a few links and thats it...

no "last updated"

85 days with no end in site........and than even worse, waiting forever for a Manilla enbassy interview...

Thankyou for information. I do realize that somehow one service center (VSC) is substantially faster than the other (CSC). You would think they would balance the load seeing how the other two centers are forwarding them all the I-129F's. May I ask how you know exactly that January submittals are now being approved? I have seen quite a few CSC people with 30-60 day NOA1 - NOA2 times. Thanks for info on touched, I have logged into my WAC# and all it says is current status: Case recieved and pending. States date I-129F was recieved, a paragraph on the process, a line about automatic updates, than links to processing times, note about local office submittal, questions phone number. No last updated anywhere on page. I have noticed a time stamp below the Get Adobe Acrobat Reader it has a date of today 11:38 PM EDT no last update, I doubt they touched it tonight at 11:38. I think that is when i logged in. Anyways your comments are appreciated.

USCIS Service CentersUSCIS Processing Times
Hello All

Sorry to probably duplicate what has been said, but after viewing some posts I find myself somewhat confused. I sent in my I-129F package to the Texas Service Center as specified for my location, it appears it was than transfered to the California Center. I recieved a I-797 Notice of Action Dated Jan 12, 2007. Since than have recieved no further communication (mail) or change in online acccount. I have watched the processing times on the USCIS website get changed once a month for the California website, the change seems to be around one month every time. Currently they say they are completing processing for I-129F's as of Sept 2006. Im confused, I see timeline after timeline from other members here and other sites who have submitted packages after me and have NOA2 and beyond. I have recieved no RFE or anything. It has been almost 90 days since NOA1. Yet there website says I should not contact them till there listed processing time has passed. Thats over 3 months from now!!! Can someone explain what is going on and what recourse I have to find out why my petition seems to be in limbo???? How do people now there petition was touched? Is this recorded in the online USCIS account?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Is this typical?
Hi All

I called and talked to USCIS rep who also got a supervisor involved on mine. They have no idea why NVC is bottleneking everything. According to them they send out the packet to NVC the same time they send you your mail I-797 NOA2 approval. They do not batch send as some are saying. I also have followed the timelines a little and noticed surges in dates, some people are showing in at NVC within 4 - 8 days, than there seems to be a lull before another group which then takes 3 weeks. Don't understand this, I'm not sure whats going on at NVC. USCIS says that your case should show up in NVC withing two weeks from date you recieved I-797 form (not date of approval) (basically around three weeks from approval). If you are after that either keep bugging them or as they suggested contact local immigration throught there infopass (appointment), to help track where its gathering dust. USCIS phone reps cant do anything like that. Oh yes, you need to tell them exactly what type of visa and circumstances because they are dealing with all types and can easily misunderstand you particular circumstance. They should require receipt number so they pull it up on screen to assist.

Good Luck, I'm in the same boat 19 days here..frustrating...

Im in same boat, I got NOA2 on 4/5. NVC says they have no record. Also if you check Immigration timeslines, no one after 4/1 has got NVC. But if you look before that, it generally took 4-8 days. If someone can get some answers I would really like to know whats going on.

PhilippinesPhilippines - Question on Packet 4
Hello All

My fiancee has been waiting for the packet 4 from the US Embassy in Manila. I have recieved a letter from the embassy informing about our interview and medical appointments which I already new. This letter appears to be a copy of what was sent to my fiancee with her packet 4 (it lists the packet 4 as an enclosure and is addressed to her). Problem is the letter is dated over three weeks ago and she hasnt recieved this letter or the packet 4.
I was wondering, is the packet 4 sent by post or by commercial package company like DHL? Is there any way to find out where it is? I am assuming in country DHL delivery is faster than the three weeks it took me to get copy of letter in the United States. Do I contact embassy or St Lukes to request pickup of packet at St Lukes? Phone number?

Thanks for any thoughts.

PhilippinesDS-157 question?
HELLO VJer's

I have a tough question here. When I filled out the G-325A biographic information (part of K1 visa petition package) for my fiancee she supplied me with information for her employment history that we thought was correct. When filling out DS-157 Form today with my fiancee we discovered this error. One of her work history dates conflicts with her education attendance dates. Not really sure what to do. Should I just make sure everything matches up (dates for work and education) on DS-157 form? (Thus contradicting whats on G325A) or leave school attendance dates blank and make work history same as G-325A? or put in correct work history dates and attendance dates on DS-157 (This would show conflict on this one form) ANy thoughts?

Thankyou

PhilippinesRecommendations For Manila Hotels For Medical & Interview

We stayed at Best Western La Corona a few times. Couple blocks from the embassy and couple blocks from St. Lukes. It's clean, quiet and not to expensive. It's running $49 a night right now. You can go cheaper but we chose not to for many reasons. Booked through this site. http://www.asiarooms.com/ I shopped and shopped and found it was the cheapest at the time. Many sites advertised rates do not include taxes and fees upfront. This one does.

Thanks for your suggestions as well. Good Luck to you both.

Just wondering if I can get some recommendations on hotels near St Lukes and US Embassy that you liked. Also how you booked them.

Thankyou
Carl

Hello Carl,

I recommend City State Tower Hotel located at 1315 A. Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila, Telephone numbers (632)-4007351 to 61.

To book for a room just simply visit their website at www.citystatetowerhotel.com.ph and make reservation.

This hotel is one block away from St. Lukes medical Clinic and several blocks from the US embassy.

The hotel rate is affordable. It ranges from P 1 515.00 to 5 610.00. Breakfast is included. However, it is not so impressive. It is not nutritionally balanced.

Cherry Blossom Hotel is also near St. Lukes Medical Clinic.

Hope this will help you..

Almi,

Thankyou very much for your assistance and advice. Best of luck to you two.

Oh one more quick question,

For the DS-156K, it states that the following documents be attached ... Does that mean we staple or somehow attach all the required documents like BC, Evidence of Engagement and I-134 plus supporting documents to this form?
My evidence of engagement alone is a couple of flexible binders full and I-134 and supporting is another flexible folder full.

Your experience is appreciated.

Hello All VJers

Good luck to upcoming VJ interviews and congrats for those who have been approved since my last post. Our interview is July 11, so we are getting nervous.
Just a quick question, am organizing our paperwork. For proof of relationship I have:
Photos - I picked out about 20 from my two trips to philippines with her of us together.
Airline Ticket Reciepts - From both trips
Phone company records of our calls
Printout of gift and money transfer reciepts to her
Prinout of a 5 emails from each of us
Letters we sent to each other ( 3 each)
Snapshots of our chat, showing both of our webcams, dates (maybe 15 over 1 1/2 years)
Snapshots of yahoo message archive showing all dates of chatting from Dec 2005 to Jun 2007
Printout of a chat session - one for each month Dec 2005 to Jun 2007.
Signed by both of us intent to marry

Is this enough? Any other suggestions.

Hello

Quick question...While filling out DS-156 online, My fiancee's Philippine passport has an expiration of "Jan 26, 3002" yes 3002!! 995 years from now. We are in a time crunch!! She flys to Manila in a few days for medical. I sent her right now to check this out at DFA. What does everyone think. Is this a screwup by the DFA? If so will it mess us up?

Hello

Got another question regarding DS-156 Form. Block 24 ask's "At what address will you stay in the US?"
Well I do not recieve mail at my physical address but at a PO BOX. I have been using the PO BOX on all references to my address in the past to ensure any mail would make it to me. This question implies a physical address. Should I put my physical address vice my mailing address?

Thanks

I had a problem with one form when I just put my physical address and my PO sent it back to USCIS.
It wasn't the DS 156 [did it on it also]! but ever since that happened I type Physical address ! BLAH BLAH and Mailing Address! Blah blah. and if not enuf room I put an attachment.
Worked all the way thru AOS

HELLO VJer's

I have a tough question here. When I filled out the G-325A biographic information (part of K1 visa petition package) for my fiancee she supplied me with the information for it. One of the things they requested was work history of last five years. Well when filling out DS-157 Form today with fiancee, it asks for last two jobs and also education history. SO when Im filling the date information out, I discover she gave me incorrect dates for work history that now conflict with her school dates of attendance. Not really sure what to do? Should I just make sure everything matches up on DS-157 form? or leave school attendance dates blank and make work history same as G-325A? ANy thoughts?

Thankyou
Carl

you could ask her or who knows she's a working student back then like i was. i was working as a student assistant in our school for a yr so the date of school and work contradict... i hope it'll work out fine though good luck!

Hi

Sorry I should have added, now that we were working on DS-157 form I have all the correct information (dates) from her. The problem is it contradicts what she gave me earlier on immigration forms we filled. After much thought we have the correct dates now but will that be a problem because they dont match DS-157 to G-325A?

Oh well how inportant is it to put dates of attendance on DS-157?

Hi VJer's

I have been away from the forum for a few weeks. Congrats to all VJ visa approvals and interview appointments.
I have a few questions I am sure have been answered in the past but have'nt yet found them surfing through the post pages.

As we have our interview date (07/11/07), I am beginning to plan my trip to the Philippines to be with my sweetheart during the interview. If all goes well, she will fly back to the US with me. As I have seen a timeline of 5-7 days for Delbros courier delivery and 3-4 days for USE release to Delbros, that would be 11 days after interview to possible visa delivery to Lapu Lapu City. Would these days be "business" days or do they include sat/sun. I'm just trying to get an idea of how long I should plan to stay in Philippines after interview to insure we get visa and buy ticket for her. I was thinking of planning for 16 days after the interview. Does sound reasonable?

Any idea's on good sites/travel agents for reasonable tickets to Philippines? I have been using Bt-store.com in past.

Also as part of the I-134 Affidavit Of Support, I got a printed out letter from my company, stating income, full time employment status, employment start date. Signed by my Site Management. Does this sound acceptable? Should the signature be witnessed by notary and thus notarized?

Finally as there are about 7 weeks till interview (07/11/07), I was planning on asking Ginovie to attend medical 3rd or 4th week of June. To ensure medical results reach embassy in time. That leaves about 4 weeks till medical. We havent recieved any notification from embassy, I found dates online myself. How long should I wait before calling embassy to send packet to St Lukes for pickup ? I dont have much faith in the postal system delivering to her in time for medical and interview.

Thankyou for your help.

hi guys, need help :help: remember i told you we sent an email to NVC to enquire if our case has been received by them, our inquiry was sent last May 6, indicating in the subject our case number and we also indicated the following info in the body of the email:

Case # from USCIS:
Petitioner's Name:
Petitioner's Date of Birth:
Beneficiary's Name:
Beneficiary's Date of Birth:
Approval date:

But when NVC replied yesterday, their letter says like this:

Dear Madam,

The National Visa Center has received your inquiry regarding name/case#. After searching our records, no information was found regarding this case. Please contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS- formerly known as INS) to verify the status of this petition.

Regards,
National Visa Center
TAD

How can this be possible, can some share something to me that have the same experience as ours.... :help: what are we going to do next?

Hi

It took mine over 3 weeks to get to NVC from CSC. Its really hit or miss, in the beginning of April the VJ's listed here in the timelines, from the CSC were showing as averaging over 3 weeks. So don't get discouraged. Send the email every 3 days or so. If you haven't recieved anything by 4 weeks, try calling them. You can call them as well as email them. (National Visa Center (NVC) | (603) 334-0700 press 1, then 5)

If they are processing through CSC then their cases are truly exceptional. If there is no error in the dates they posted, then there must be something really special about their case. Is there something in their posts that would give us any idea as to why there were processed so fast? Maybe they have relatives who are CSC adjudicators!

Looking through the K1 visa timelines I noticed that two of them, one filed at the CSC and the other at NCS recieved there K1 NOA2 approval within one week of getting there NOA2, both were for Cuban spouses. Now we all know that vermont can get some of them threw in two weeks because they have only a small portion of all K1's filed across country and california takes 3-5 months on average.

So why did two K1's for cuban beneficiaries able to get through california in under a week? I have seen no others that even come close to that going through CSC. Is there special policies for immigrants from certian countries?

PW

I didnt see anything out of the ordinary, just thought it was a funny coincidence both being Cuban, i noticed interview dates that were consistent, aroung 40-50 days after NOA2. Oh well....

Hello All

Just a quick question? I recieved my NOA2 approval on April 5, 2007. I contacted NVC today by email requesting status of whether they had recieved my petition yet and what was the status. They replied they had no record of it and that I should contact USCIS for a status. I'm sure Im just impatient, but I have been noticing in the timelines that most people are showing 8-12 days approx from NOA2 approval reciept to receipt by NVC (not embassy in manila which I see is 3-4 weeks).

Should I keep waiting? or contact USCIS as NVC email says I should?
I just hate to wait and find out there was a problem I could have helped resolved instead of waiting around till someone noticed it.

Thanks
Carl

I would suggest you email NVC if calling them won't do the trick. I didn't have any luck calling them as well so what I did is daily email inquiry. It took quite some days before they replied, I think around 5 days and when they did, they informed me that our case has been forwarded here in Manila consulate and they also gave me my MNL case number.

Thanks for the responces all...
