I am missing my love so much it has been 4 months since we were together now. We are hoping he can enter the USA before January 28th which will be 2 years since we met online...we want to be married on that date. The only thing I can rationalize the waiting is thinking there was an onslaught of last minute filers before the rate increase. I am so frustrated at the waiting time. I received the letter in the mail from NVC on DEC 7th dated DEC 3rd saying our petition would be sent to the embassy within a week...today is DEC 25th (Happy HoHoHo btw to all!) and it is still sitting there as of last week before they closed for the holidays!!! Now I know I am no rocket scientist, but the difference between a week and 22 days is quite big!! Argggggggh I'm going to pull all my hair out and be bald at our wedding!!! I hope everyone else is having better luck. Ohhhhhhhh Samir and Erin should be together now...he was flying to the states yesterday or today. Woohoo. Congrats you two!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June and July Filers - NOA2 to NVC	I called both CSC and NVC today. CSC says no they haven't sent it to NVC...give it another month...Arghhhhh! NVC says no they have no record of it being received, call back again next week that it may take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks and up to 90 days. Aggggggggh! This is the 4th week...I feel like Charlie Brown going for the kick and having Lucy jerk the football out from under him. Geezzzzzz! Good news is that Kamel received all my paperwork and the I-134 I sent. He's just needing word from the embassy. I thought the biggest wait was over with and it would move a little quicker once the NOA2 came. We are still hoping for our January 28th wedding on the beach, Insha'allah! I want to give you all an update. Kamel had his medical on Jan 12th and had his interview scheduled for today (Feb 12th) at 1 p.m. WE ARE APPROVEDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!! woohoo!!!! He said that it went smoothly and he should have his passport with the visa stamp within two weeks. Insha'allah!! We will keep everyone posted. Thank you all for your friendships, prayers, & kind words to us over the past year. We will continue to let you know our progress and now that my nerves have calmed down and the hurdle of the interview is over, I will try to be better about posting. I hope that the upcoming holidays doesn't slow NVC's processing down. The rep I spoke to today said that they don't necessarily go in order...they basically are taking the easier ones first. He did give me a tidbit of info on the process to update the website processing dates saying they are suppose to be updated every two weeks. I said since I signed up online back in July they have been updated more like once per month and he said yeah that happens...he said to check by the weekend and if it isn't updated then it will be updated by the 15th. He also said that the April 12th processing date that was last and currently posted could be there even if there was only one petition still left in April to be approved. So don't lose faith. Everyone will be approved soon. Insha'allah! Oh and another thing...he said that the receipt numbers have nothing to do with order of processing. Hugs, A. On October 29, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service. Maybe the phone call worked. I actually called them back at noon today and the CSR said I was still pending. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from CSC for your I-129F?	Hey all...well I made a call to CSC this evening after work and talked to a CS rep who told me she couldnt tell me anymore than what was posted on the website that I should call back in an hour and get another CS rep on the line and ask for an immigration officer who could do a case inquiry for us (she tried to transfer me but said they weren't responding to her ring). This was at 5:30 CST and 40 minutes later at 6:10 pm I called to get a recording that the normal hours were from 8 am to 6 pm Mon-Fri . Am I daft or was she just trying to get rid of me??? Isn't California on Pacific time...am I not an hour ahead of them??? I'm confused and frustrated again. Well the call did end up in a touch, which is the first one I've gotten since they received our petition. I will try to call again in the morning. Maybe that is a bit of information we can all try when we make our next phone calls...an immigration officer she said can look closer at our petitions and tell us if they have been assigned to a case worker and what the current status is on it as far as an adjudication date. If we are all approved this month (insha'allah) then how long will it take to get to the embassy for the final approval and interview? Any guesstimates? I'm trying to figure my dates (approximately) regarding whether our January 28th wedding date is going to be a realistic expectation. I'm to the point whatever happens and no matter when he comes before or after that date...it won't be the date that matters as much as him being here with me. We are planning a wedding at the Gulf coast on the beach with only a couple of close friends, so it is not like we have to make a big deal over prearrangements, but it would be nice to have an idea. And any help would be great! and after a few minutes and a few holds she told me that they were workin on cases for the 24th of May! BUT dont let this get your hopes up because someone else on VJ was told they were working on cases submitted on a different date so i think this can still vary from 3 to 5 days or so! good luck with the RFE trick and please post what info (if any) you may get!!!!!! thanks! I called today and tried that RFE trick and got a very polite lady on the phone at CSC. She pulled up my file and said that they were still working on March and to give mine 3 more months.... . I asked if it would be approved sooner and she said maybe that they were working full staff to try to catch up due to the loads of filers they got before the fees went up. I figured all she looked at was what we can see on the USCIS site because she repeated everything we all know. On a good note she said she didn't see any RFE's on my file...I told her that was wonderful considering I haven't been touched since they sent me my NOA1. Another CS rep answered...did not willingly transfer me to an immigration officer and said he didn't know why the rep from yesterday told me that. He basically told me if we filed in June our adjudication date will fall anytime mid November but it could happen sooner. He told me ours was still showing pending. This was around noon today...I go back to work and checked the site an hour later and got the following message: Receipt Number: WAC0720****** Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: Approval notice sent. On October 29, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. When I initially called I told her I haven't heard anything since I was sent my first NOA and that I was wanting to know if it had been turned over to a case worker yet. I played dumb basically and told her I knew it took awhile with the back log in June, but I was concerned that noone has touched it since. Is this right? If so, then that would put my love and I one week closer than I was thinking. Yay! My friend called the travel agent she used and the agent was able to get me a flight routing through Frankfurt in May for $1000 all inclusive...the agent is Algerian and said he's going to help me with making arrangements for payment since I didn't have the entire amount on hand. Middle East and North Africa	Kamel and Asiya's interview on Tuesday!!!	We got approved today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so happy. Kamel said it went very smoothly and all they needed to see were some pics and some emails. We are so excited! He said they told him that he should get his passport with the visa stamp in approximately 2 weeks. We are hoping for sooner. My love will be here soon...Insha'allah!!! We have been apart for 9 months now. I can't believe that in less than a month I will be reunited with him. Woohoo!!!!!!! Thank you all so much for your support and prayers and love. Please continue to pray for his safe and speedy travel that is ahead. We love you all so much and feel like you are all our new family in this Visa Journey that we are traveling together. No one but our friends here in VJ can understand the emotional rollercoaster that we have gone through or are going through unless they have gone through this process. I am so glad we all understand each other and can build the friendships that we have over the past year.
