United KingdomInterview
Just posted this in main forum, told to try in here!!!

Hello everybody, got our interview on the 31st January in London!
Just a question does anybody know everything that is needed for the interview, would hate any delay to be my fault by not taking something.
Any help would be amazing, also how many people are actually rejected at interview stage, we have so much proof. Hoping its the final formality before I get to be with my gal!

Cheers
David

Anybody know how much you pay on the day when you go for your interview? Heard it was $380, seems a little steep!

Also do you pay on the day or before you go for the interview

United KingdomInterviews on Wednesday
Wow.... Now I am officially sh***ing myself

Anyone advise which is the nearest tube station to get off at?

Also, I know a few others have it the same day, what is your checklist of stuff to take with you....

And to everyone there the same day GOOD LUCK, hopefully this is just a check to make sure of who you are and we will all get the news we have been waiting for.

Anyone have any idea of acceptances to rejections from London?

Well everyone, I am pleased to let you know that today I had a successful interview and should receive my passport with visa inside in the next 5 days!

After 7 months of absolute stress and totrture being away from Amie it is done and I'll be moving back to the USA on 14th Feb!

For all those waiting nervously on the interview, it is so easy so long as you have your papers. Didn't even look at my photos, emails etc, you just basically go so they can make another $100 out of you I think!

Anyway keep with it peeps this feeling is SOOOOOO worth it!!!!!!!!

Again thank you to EVERYONE who has helped us out the past 7 months and to anyone going through it I will be able to give you some help if possible, after all we are all in the same boat!!!

WOOOHOOO

United KingdomWorking when in USA
Can anybody give any insight on how to go about working in the shortest amount of time once in the states.

Amie seems to think getting married ASAP and finding somewhere to get marriage cert in a few days is quickest way to get the permit i.e Vegas stylee (if they give cert straight away even). I am not flying through JFK so the EAD is out. Don't want to be out of work for much longer than 3 months if possible.

Any ideas anybody

United KingdomI-693A medical form

You need to go to a civil surgeon in this US, to find one near you Click here

They may tell you you need the entire medical, you don't,just the vaccine suppliment, call around untill you find a decent price (can range from $10 - $50 for this form) and that they udnerstand what you need.

You take the form you got of your vaccine at the medical and your vaccine records, they'll put it on the form and seal it up in an envelope and voila!

Cheers for that, got an appointment Monday costing $20 which is very fair.

So I just send the package they give me off with the rest of the AOS forms.

Again thanks!

United KingdomFavourite English word or phrase (or Irish or Scottish ....
Well as a scouser I think this thread is 'proper boss like'

I think in Liverpool we have our own seperate language anyway so have to make a real effort to adapt and speak slower in the states!

When I get bladdered though I start to speak as if I had never left the place....

The word 'Alright' always seems to confuse the americans, we know its just a hello but alot of them seem to think it's a crazy question. Also when they ask me "Hi, how are you' I always reply 'sound mate' that also seems to get me a puzzled look.

And if one mor person asks if I'm Scottish, Irish, Martiian

Hello!

I have a friend who is looking to come to the USA on a working visa to join me in California,

Thing is he got a conviction for affray in his youth, it is now over 5 years old and is whats known as spent!

In the past he has been accepted for a 10 year tourist visa, would this stop him getting a working visa in the future?

Any advice would be great thanks!

recieved my packet 3.....

seems to read that you do not have to send any documents back other than the forms they require and a checklist, then you take police report etc to the interview and show them there.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionQuick Question
Hello Yodrak, thanks for the reply...just read this

Nonimmigrant visa for spouse (K-3) - It is important to note that application for the nonimmigrant visa for spouse (K-3) who married a U.S. citizen must be filed and the visa must be issued in the country where the marriage took place. After the visa process has been completed, and the visa is issued, the spouse can travel to the United States to wait for the processing of the immigrant visa case.
Two petitions are required:
Petition for Alien Relative, Form 1-130; and
Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Form I-129F

Looks as if the answer should be a no now, so confusing this process lol

Just sent my packet 3 back to embassy in London and scheduled my medical for the 15th. Does anybody know what happend now, do they send me another form saying my packet 3 information was all correct or do I just send of form saying I have all forms in order and Im ready for interview?

Also read I need Amie to fill in a I-138 form with some other documentation to support this. Could this just be a letter from employer confirming she in on a good salary and is employed?

Cheers

Hello going through the same thing myself, only my fiance is the sponsor, she also earns near three times the guideline. I would just send the current ITRs W-2 and a letter from his employer confirming his salary.

Do you know where you can get the I-134 notified or does this not have to be done?

Cheers for that, just worried as I have realised I only sent 1 copy of the DS-156 back and now see you needed to send it in duplicate, don't know whether to wait to hear from them or just send in another copy asap.

Hello does anybody know how you are kept updated after sending packet 3 back (ds-156, sd-230 etc) I have sent them to London but have no idea how to find out if the forms have been completed correctly, received etc. Tried calling the number on here and operator just said cant check as it may take 6weeks to show on their system so no help at all....

Is there anywhere that I can check to keep myself updated?
