USCIS Service CentersCalled USCIS. Got told TSC is taking 5 months to process.

I always have the same problem.  Pick the option for lost petition and it will take you to a customer service rep.  After talking with a customer service rep, you can also try to ask to speak to a tier 2 representative.  I was given some confusing misinformation from the customer service representatives regarding my NOA2 which was corrected by the Tier 2 representative.  I also received copies of the service request performed by the tier 2 representative so I was satisfied with the response.

cray5ol.gif OMG we are in our 4th month and still not a word from them...

Hi KayG!  We filed in October and received our NOA1 11/01 & got our NOA2 24 days later on 11/21 but the NVC just received our petition yesterday, 3 months after receiving our NOA2.  They also told me I'm in administrative processing at the NVC which is nothing out the ordinary either.  I'm estimating an interview date in May or June.  I'd be very surprised to get an interview date any sooner than May.

United KingdomHow and when will I be informed about interview date
So the call in letter has the interview date on it? Or is this an embassy specific question?

Africa: Sub-Saharaninfo about my fiancé trip to Ghana Embassy
It's been 8 weeks since I got my NOA2. I'm expecting the NVC to receive my petition and be at this stage any day now. I'll be in Ghana to visit my fiance again in late March. I'm looking at some of your timelines and it looks like I might have an interview by that date? I hope I can reschedule it for the period I'm in Accra? I didn't expect to have an interview until May or June. I also have no idea how much I need to set aside to prepare for this interview.

So I'm going to assume the medical is $400 give or take. And I'd like to pay the $240 interview fee online but I don't know how to do that either? I also would like to start getting prepared now. All I have so far is my I-134, tax transcripts & letters from employers. What should I expect to receive in Packet 3 & 4? What documents does my Fiance need to receive to pick up the packet from the embassy? I read people don't always receive the notice in the mail. Can she just go get her health records & police report ahead of time or does that report have to be on formal embassy documentation? I appreciate the help & thanks for sharing this information.

Africa: Sub-SaharanIs it possible to be unaware of you interview date?
She just did her medicals today & she will get the results next Friday. We have the police report already. We gave up on date stamping photos in Accra, she's just going to write the date on the back of photos.

Please disregard my link for batchphoto.com! I purchased this software yesterday & it immediately told me there was an error with my card, however they charged my card for the transaction. I called them about it & there was no one to talk to and their based out of Romania. So I emailed them my concern and still no response so my apologies for suggesting this software.

Africa: Sub-SaharanIs it possible to be unaware of you interview date?

Got my interview date today & it's two weeks from now 4/24.  Not much time to prepare medicals.  She's going to Trinity Clinic, has anyone gone there or know how much it costs?  Mavis is going on Monday, I hope we can get the results back in less than a week?

Also, did we receive Packet 3?  All she said she received today was her appointment letter and instructions.  Wasn't she supposed to receive the petition I mailed to the USCIS to bring to the interview? We're having difficulty finding a photo lab in Accra that will Date Stamp out photos.  One guy said he could do it and after waiting several hours Mavis learned he was typing the dates on the photos.  So she's just going to use http://www.batchphoto.com/ to extract the meta data & then print out the photos again.  The photo lab almost made her miss getting back to the embassy on time.

So interview date scheduled 3 weeks from receiving call in letter and roughly 6 weeks from Embassy receiving the petition.  I guess this fits in with the average processing time for Ghana?

The call in letter was at the po box today and it was stamped by the post office as arriving Thursday April 3rd. So I'm assuming they wouldn't schedule an interview the week after mailing out the call in letter. We will just have to wait until this Wednesday to find out. Thanks Mahkafui & Jahk18 for the help!

Africa: Sub-SaharanIs it possible to be unaware of you interview date?
It sounds like I can only go to the embassy on Wednesdays so she's definitely going next Week. Is it possible to get the embassy to give me my interview date from the embassy on a Monday or ask them to give it to me via email? Thank you Mahkafui & Jahk18 for your response. Now I'm getting nervous that she's going to miss her date. I hope there is a way to get them to tell me our interview date before this Wednesday. What happens if we miss the interview? Can I show them this email I posted advising us to come this Wednesday instead of last Wednesday in the event they did schedule an interview before then? I'm really hoping we have 4 to 6 weeks from the date they mailed out the call in letter.

Africa: Sub-SaharanIs it possible to be unaware of you interview date?

The embassy received the petition on March 7th, The Call in Letter was mailed out March 26th (still haven't received it, will be checking PO Box again this Tuesday) and there's a recent CEAC status update for March 31st?  Is it possible that the March 31st update might be an interview scheduled for next week and we don't know about it?  I emailed the embassy on Tuesday asking this question and this was the response:

Our records indicate that a call-in letter was mailed out on 26 March, 2014. Seeing that this was just mailed last week, please have her wait until next week to come. They may come to the U.S. Embassy Accra next Wednesday morning at 7:30 am to pick up the appointment package. The package will have the instructions necessary to proceed further with the case. Please be aware that the applicant will drop off this letter in the morning and then return at 2:00 p.m. to receive the package and interview date.

The applicant should also bring a copy of this email to be admitted to the Consular Section.

So in response to this email we assumed that we needed both the call in letter and a copy of the embassy email to pick up the appointment package.  In the event that we don't receive a call in letter before Wednesday can she go to the embassy with just the embassy email?  Does the Call In Letter have the interview date on it?  I just want to confirm that there's no interview scheduled for next week or before she's able to pick up the interview package.  I'm actually hoping she has a couple weeks of breathing room to get her medical, police reports & DS-160 complete before interview.  Thank's everyone for you help, it always greatly appreciated.

Africa: Sub-SaharanFiance caught malaria and her flight is next week!

She is finishing her treatment today and says she is feeling better but I'm already planning on addressing her health care in the states.  I looked up the information on my healthcare provider and they're saying she must reside within the U.S. for six consecutive months which means I'll have to pay for her health care expenses during that period.  So I'm advising her to bring some medicine with her and look into getting that shot that was discussed that wipes out the malaria parasite once and for all.  Hopefully all the malaria is gone from the current treatment.  Thank you everyone for your support!

Would you mind if I reached out to you in the future if I have any questions?  You really seem to have done your research.  I'm just patiently waiting for our approval so we can be together soon.

Feel free to ask me questions and I'll try my best to help or put you in the right direction.

I asked her whether the IV option was offered to her and she only said she had the 3 day treatment option(malar.2) She said she wants to wait out the treatment and will be getting her second shot for the visa next Monday so if she's not improving she's going to ask about the IV or the Artemisinin Combination Therapy (ACT) option. Thanks for the help everyone.

Africa: Sub-SaharanFiance caught malaria and her flight is next week!

Was she given injections and tablets or tablets only. I had recurrent malaria while I was in Ghana but it wasn't until I purchased expensive meds that the malaria went away.  So you may even have her to talk to a pharmacist or chemist about her options for treatment.

She was told to take two tablets twice a day for 3 days.  She never has had any injections.  I'm assuming she is buying the expensive meds but I will find out for sure when she wakes up tomorrow morning.  Can she get the expensive meds in Ghana or does she have to do that here?

Africa: Sub-SaharanFiance caught malaria and her flight is next week!

I'm really concerned because she has had a bad bout of Malaria last June and it took her two weeks to recover.  She went to the doctor today and they gave her a 3 day regiment of anti malarial drugs, a blood tonic, and vitamin C and told her to eat heavy.  I really wish I could get her treated in the states next week when she arrives because I think the doctors are not properly treating her because it seems like it keeps coming back.  After she goes through port of entry at JFK, I'd like to get her checked out here, but of course she has no insurance, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting health care while on your 90 day k1 stay in the states or if you had any relapse of Malaria while in the US and had to get treatment without healthcare coverage?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NOA2 APPROVED IN OCTOBER.. WAITING FOR NVC CASE NUMBER
We received our NOA2 I-797 on November 21st. It also had an A number next to the beneficiary's name? Does that mean anything? I called the NVC and they said no, but they also seemed like they didn't want to say anything other than wait 8 weeks for us to receive your petition. I'm gathering from everyone that you really have to stay on top of these guys because there's alot of the left hand not aware of the right hand type of stuff.

It's been over a month for us. I have been calling periodically throughout the week and also sent an email.  All of the responses are the same like I'm speaking to a Robot. Next time I call I'm going to try to ask them what the weather is like today. But it just seems like if you haven't reached the 8 week mark you get the stock response.  Here is a copy of stock email I received just recently.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) has not received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please allow at least eight weeks from the date USCIS approved your petition for us to receive it.

Your P 3 is done? Police report? Medical? 134 with tax transcript?

I received my NOA2 November 21st & NVC is still awaiting my petition. I thought you are not supposed to do police report until 30 days prior to the interview? I also thought the Embassy is supposed to send you a packet that includes a list of embassy approved doctors to get your medical performed at? Now I'm confused? I have tax transcripts & letters from my employer but nothing else yet. I'll be at 8 weeks next week.

Also, how do you register for updates from the service center?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)8 weeks since NOA2, still no case number
I received my NOA2 on November 21st and the NVC hasn't received my case yet. I'm going on 10 weeks. The USCIS told
me it can take up to 90 days for them to mail it out. It's really stressful. I emailed nvcresearch@state.gov two weeks ago with the proper info & my scanned I-797 and still no response.

I'm assuming it's the holidays and the weather that is holding us all up.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC entered wrong Date of Birth

The services reps are really confusing me at the NVC.  They are telling me that if I don't receive an auto reply after sending out an email to NVCinquiry@state.gov that means the email didn't go through.  I sent out 8 emails from different computers & email accounts, trying to get an auto reply.  I told them I emailed NVCresearch@state.gov and got an auto reply but they said they don't handle that issue.  The only other option I have is to physically mail a scanned copy to the NVC tomorrow which I'm going to do.  Which is crazy because the NVC doesn't even take documents for K1 petitions.

I'm assuming I'm still going to receive my hardcopy in the mail that the NVC mailed out my petition and I'm also assuming that will have my case number on it so I'll be able to fill out the rest of the forms regardless of whether the NVC is able to correct the issue.

I wonder if the NVC will even accept documents from a K1 filer or just throw it out.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC entered wrong Date of Birth

It's been over 3 months since I received my initial NOA2 on 11/21/13.  On Tuesday when I called, I finally got notice from the customer service rep that they'd just received my petition.  I knew something was different because this time the rep was asking for both the petitioner and beneficiaries name and date of birth.  They said on Tuesday that they were just entering it into the system and to call back tomorrow to check on my case status.  I called on Wednesday and when I gave my date of birth they said it was incorrect and in order to gain access to my case, I had to send a scanned copy of my passport to NVCinquiry@state.gov which I did immediately.  On Thursday when I called they still had the wrong date of birth entered into the system.  I told the rep that I emailed NVCinquiry@state.gov. The rep then asked me if I'd received an auto reply which I didn't.  She said try emailing again until I receive an auto reply from NVCinquiry@state.gov.  I sent three emails today to NVCinquiry@state.gov thinking that maybe the system was down but still no auto reply so I called back the NVC.  The second rep I spoke with said don't worry about an auto reply, they'll get the email.  So I decided to email NVCresearch@state.gov instead and finally received an auto reply.

This isn't the first time I've been given conflicting information from customer service reps at the NVC and USCIS.  When I received my NOA2, it stated "forwarded to the listed consulate" and some of these reps were telling me that it could've been mailed to Accra by mistake, bypassing the NVC.  It wasn't until I spoke to a tier 2 representative at the USCIS that I learned this was incorrect information.  Is there any Tier 2 representatives that I can talk to at the NVC?  I'm pretty convinced that this mistake was made at the NVC because on Tuesday when I called they had my correct date of birth and on Wednesday it was incorrect.

Has anyone else experienced difficulties receiving an auto reply after sending emails to the NVC?  I hope I'm not missing out on time sensitive information by being locked out of my case. This is really frustrating.

Rick & MavisMaleGhana2014-03-07 03:38:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVCinquiry@state.gov vs. nvcinquiry@state.gov

I don't know if anyone else has made this mistake but I wanted to point it out so nobody else makes the same error.  When sending emails to the NVC Do Not capitalize NVCinquiry@state.gov because you will not get an auto reply.  For the past week I've been on the phone with reps at the NVC telling me they weren't going to receive the email if I wasn't receiving an auto reply and today I even spent $20 mailing them a physical copy of my passport to correct the Date of Birth error they made.  After emailing from separate computer and email accounts to no avail, I decided to write the email in lower case nvcinquiry@state.gov and I received an immediate auto reply.  The Visa Journey Wiki page has the entire email capitalized NVCINQUIRY@state.gov which I didn't try so maybe its either all capitals or lower case but I believe that the reason none of my emails went through to the NVC was because I wrote the email as NVCinquiry@state.gov which didn't produce an auto reply when written this way.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3 approved. Interview date at hand

Congratulations on your interview date.  I'm not sure how much notice I'm going to receive before hand so I most likely wont be attending if I don't get at least 6-8 weeks notice prior to date.  My job won't let me take off work otherwise but for K1, petitioner attending interview is not mandatory.  Did you fill out your DS-160 yet?  They just emailed us our notice that they mailed a notice for us to receive to gain access to pick up our packet next wednesday.  I'm not sure what this DS-160 thing is still and when to fill it out.

Steve&Hazel, on 20 Oct 2013 - 11:01 PM, said:snapback.png

My fiance and I started ours in February of this year. My interview is in December. My advice:

- Don't wait for your packet 3 checklist to be sent to you in the mail. Once you receive your NOA2, start getting your packet 3 together. You can find the checklist online. You will need to gather documents, such as a police clearance certificate(s). This may take time to get through RCMP. I've heard that some people had to wait months! Once you have all documents, send the packet off. I made the mistake of waiting for the packet 3 checklist to get mailed to me. I waited one month - pretty much set us back a month.

- Once you send your packet 3 off, make sure you pick the service that provides a tracking number, so you're able to know when it arrives. As soon as you find out, send Montreal or Vancouver (whichever embassy will hold your interview) an e-mail and let them know that you sent packet 3, it's arrived, and ask when you'll receive packet 4 notification. My embassy is Montreal, and they are notoriously slow with processing things. Be on top of everything by sending them e-mails - unfortunately, you can't call them.

- Get all the required vaccination shots in preparation for your medical while you are waiting for packet 4. Once you receive it, book your interview. Some panel doctors refuse to give you an appointment unless you have an interview date. It is harder to get an early interview with Montreal. Vancouver is pretty good.

Anyway, send me an email/message on here if you need help!

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionghana consulate interview. is this normal??

That is GOOD News, I am very happy for you! well for me they gave me a 3rd interview but were specific on what was needed this time. they said I should bring our whole facebook chat from when we first met to date! and should be ok if I do, I wonder why they never requested it the first time though. hmmmmmm

Whole Facebook chat? If I brought my whole Google Chat it would be over a thousand pages? Will you be able to fit it all through the window? That has me rethinking how much I submit.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionghana consulate interview. is this normal??
I'm sorry to hear about this, it has me wondering whether it's common in Ghana to be given RFE's without just cause. After reading the evidence you submitted, I can't understand what more they're looking for. I'm wondering if this happens to you again, whether you can stand your ground with the CO, and as politely as possible, respectively request the specific reasons why the CO believes you don't have a bonafide relationship. Can you request to speak to the CO's supervisor before leaving the window? It's incredibly cruel of a CO to send you away without some sort of justification for their decision other than personal opinion. How could they make that determination in such a brief interview? Did you frontload your petition? Based on the questions you were asked,it sounds like the CO made up their mind before the interview. Is that possible, and how & why? Should future petitioners withhold evidence just so they have more to submit for the second interview? Do the CO's even Consider the costs & time off of work required to attend these interviews? I'm beginning this process so all I have is questions as well. Keep your head up, and I hope all your issues are resolved on your second interview.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCase Ready & going to Ghana Friday! Am I missing anything?

I'm going on vacation with my Fiancee this Friday and also bringing all documentation for our yet to be announced interview. NVC confirmed no interview date, haven't received any packets either which is a blessing in disguise since we'll be out of Accra until the end of March.   I know things move fast from here so I don't want to miss any thing.

My checklist for items the Petitioner needs to bring for interview:

I-134 signed with 4 years tax transcripts & letter from employer

Copy of I-129F & G-325a's sent

Petitioner's Original Birth Certificate

Petitioner's Original Divorce Decree

Original items providing proof of meeting

Pictures

Original NOA1 & NOA2 (Still haven't received NVC letter can I just email her this when it arrives?)

Updated date for Letter of Intent to Marry within 90 days (Same Visa Journey template sent with petition, just changed dates)

Additional chats, screenshots, call logs etc. etc. etc...

Regarding the I-134?

Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor

I acknowledge that I have read "Sponsor and Alien Liability" on Page 2 of the instructions for this form, and am aware of my responsibilities as a sponsor under the Social Security Act, as amended, and the Food Stamp Act, as amended__________________? ( I left this blank, is that ok?)

I also checked intend & wrote "I intend to support all expenses in relation to fiancee throughout her K1 visa process for permanent residence"  signed and dated for today

I spoke with a supervisor who said the beneficiary only has to complete the DS-160?  I thought there was the DS-260 too?

She'll be checking her PO box tomorrow to see if she received anything from the embassy this week.

My job won't let me take time off on short notice so I scheduled this vacation 3 months ago.  I'm most likely not going to be able to attend the interview if one is schedule without giving me 6 weeks notice ahead of time, so this is going to be the trip that I bring all the necessary documentation.  Thank you for looking over my checklist and helping me answer these questions.  I couldn't find any answers to the i-134 question and the DS-160 process is still confusing after reading the guidelines.

Start getting your official letters from your employer, 3 years of tax transcripts and begin completing your I-134.  It can take up to 8 weeks for the NVC to receive the petition and assign a case number and the USCIS even says it can take them 90 days to mail out the petition.  I'm currently on my 9th week, so check in periodically with the NVC. I've been calling twice a week.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports9th week, No Case# & letter states "Forwarded to Consulate"

I did an advanced search in Visa Journey with the phrase "Forwarded to Consulate" and discovered that this problem has already been addressed in detail.  My apologies to the mods for posting a duplicate thread, I'll try to do a better job researching my concern before my next post.

http://www.visajourn...ch&fromsearch=1

The problem is the lower tier service reps at the USCIS & NVC were telling me the petition probably was mailed to the embassy.  Even the tier 2 rep couldn't guarantee that the USCIS didn't mail the petition to the consulate.  I'm so grateful to have visa journey as a resource to get definitive answers on the issues that the service reps have no idea how to answer.  Why is it that the service reps at the NVC and USCIS are so baffled by this letter?  Telling me the petition was mailed to the embassy without a case number is a serious cause for concern. That's why I reacted immediately by emailing the NVC, USCIS, Consulate and posting to visa journey.  If the service reps were more knowledgeable on this issue I would have saved myself the confusion and the headache.

I can accept that the petition is delayed given the fact we experienced inclement weather and had the holidays over the past 8 weeks.  Also the USCIS has stated that it can take them up to 90 days to mail the petition.  Today the tier 2 rep said they are mailing out a new, correctly worded NOA2 and I should be receiving it within the next two weeks.  I'm so glad I can finally let a sigh of relief thanks to this forum.  I'll search here first before I react to the assertions of the service reps next time.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports9th week, No Case# & letter states "Forwarded to Consulate"
The problem is service reps on the lower tier of the NVC & USCIS tell me the petition may have been forwarded to the consulate. I got off the phone with USCIS & they are sending a second notice & telling me to wait two weeks. I'm not as concerned about the wait as I am about the "forwarded to consulate" statement on letter.

I'm getting mixed messages regarding why my letter says "forwarded to the consulate." I've been asking the service reps at the NVC & USCIS if it's possible the USCIS bypassed the NVC & mailed the petition straight to the Consulate in Accra.

I was hoping someone on Visa Journey might have received a similar letter & could give me some insight on why it says that.

My understanding has been that the USCIS has to send the petition to the NVC before it can be mailed to the consulate. I'm awaiting word from the consulate but I'm very concerned that I'm going to have to scramble last minute to prepare for an interview that might have already expired.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports9th week, No Case# & letter states "Forwarded to Consulate"

I received my NOA2 letter for my I-129F petition on November 21st, 2013.  On that letter it states:

"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate.  Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would now like them to forward the petition to a different consulate.  The petitioner can also file form I-824.  Application for Action on an Approved Application or petition, to request that we notify another consulate of the petition approval for visa processing purposes.  THIS FORM IS NOT A VISA AND MAY NOT BE USED IN PLACE OF A VISA."

I called the NVC in November upon receiving the notice and continued weekly and then daily when it passed 4 weeks. I've also been in contact with the DOS and USCIS periodically over the course of 9 weeks.  It wasn't until it passed 8 weeks that I started getting the time of day from the NVC.  Until then they would just ask me whats my number, whats the date of notice, wait 8 weeks, have a nice day.  I called USCIS today as well and spoke with two individuals who said that they are addressing the status of my petition and will get back to me in two weeks.

I also called the DOS today and received unfortunate news.  The Visa specialist said they are no longer addressing NVC concerns and that this change took place yesterday.

I emailed the NVC, Texas Service Center & Consulate with the attached NOA2 and concern over where my Petition was forwarded.  I'm hoping the petition is still sitting at the service center and not at the consulate.  I can't imagine why the USCIS would bypass the NVC and forward my petition directly to the consulate?  Has anyone else received a NOA2 stating the petition had been "forwarded to the consulate?"  What's going on with the DOS, are they officially unavailable to us now?  Could it be possible my petition is at the consulate without a case number or the petition was sent immediately to the NVC and they shipped it out the same day and they have no record of my case number now?   If the wording on that letter stated "Forwarded to the NVC" I would be content in waiting for it to arrive, but now I'm concerned the petition was mailed to the consulate by mistake.  Any suggestions or prior experiences with the same situation?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports2 Types of NOA2 ??
I received the same NOA2 and the lower level reps were no help. Because my NOA2 exceeded 8 weeks some NVC & USCIS reps were saying that it was mailed to the consulate bypassing the NVC. They really had me nervous & I even emailed the consulate to confirm this didn't happen. After speaking to both a tier 2 rep & a DOS rep (on the last day they were taking calls for K1s) I was told that this is just how some are worded & put in a service request to receive a new one, which came back saying the same thing. I was getting so much conflicting information from the lower level reps.

I would recommend calling a tier 2 service rep at the USCIS if you have any additional concerns. But what I was told is that the petition can't go to the consulate without being assigned a case number by the NVC.

My case has just been received at the NVC, but they entered my wrong DOB so I'm locked out of my case until they open up my email with a scanned passport.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWait times to receive interview after receving packet? also is K1 Visa Immigrant or Non immigrant Visa??

Mavis is going next Wednesday to pick up her packet and she hasn't completed the DS-160 yet either.  I was wondering the same question because she hasn't prepared her physical or police records either.  I emailed the embassy twice trying to get an indication on whether or not an interview date was assigned and never got a response to that question accept that they mailed out a letter to come pick up the package on March 26th but she is still waiting for it.  I sent out a second email and it said to wait another week to see if the letter arrives or just bring in that email.  This whole stage is very nerve racking.  I think we have to complete the DS-160 after we get the packet 3 and once the DS-160 is completed, then the embassy assigns and interview.  But anyone, please correct me because I could be totally wrong because this whole stage of process is very confusing for me too.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsapproved after 5 months of filing

Congratulations!  Start assembling your tax transcripts and information for your I-134, letters from employer, bank statements if needed.  Also a good idea to get a head start on assembling your evidence.  I procrastinated when it came to indexing chat messages and it was a headache.  I also would recommend avoiding Tango for communications.  I tried to screen shot this app and the dates were almost invisible, this app doesn't store chat history.

Start calling the NVC to see if they received your petition.  They say it takes roughly 4-8 weeks but it took me 12.  I didn't start getting any answers until after 8 weeks when representatives would start talking to me.  If you have any problems ask to speak to a tier 2 rep on the USCIS end.  I was given so much misinformation from the lower level representatives at both the NVC & USCIS.
