It's been 5 weeks since they logged my p3, and from what I have seen the average wait time here from date they log p3 to interview date varies from 70 to 90 days.... Which is rediculous because some people wait less to get their NOA2 (of course not any of us sept fillers). And I'm really starting to get annoyed because some of the other people waiting for interviews at my embassy and getting impatient filled the initial petition in December.... Well cross your fingers that next week is my week. If I dont have a date by the 29th I am going to e-mail them and request the earliest date possible, even though I think that will be a waste of time, or maybe I will do it sooner, who knows. Well I am super glad to see that the visa finally showed up and you are going on Sunday. I am going on the 29th for a few days to visit and celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. Im glad I requested a new package 3 on thursday , because mine never came, but I did file all the forms and made an imporvised checklist since that was the only form the Montreal consulate doesnt have online. On friday i faxed and mailed a copy of everything, just to be extra sure they will get it .. since i am still waiting here... I cant believe you have never been Joe&Nadya! I live like 30 min drive from the USA and visiting is sooo like going to a different country.. well it is , but I didnt think Canada was that different until I went to the US. SC roads are horrible, but not as bad as Ohio, we drove to Dayton for christmas and hit some pot holes and I swear we hit our head on the truck roof. Lol. Friday and no packet 3, a new one was mailed yesterday so I have given up on the original one ever arriving. I did however mail and fax my DS230 and a checklist that I copied from the Vancouver consulate, it was a bit out dated but I ran into a post by another Canadian who was delayed in getting her p3 and made her own checklist and sent it in and it was fine. I also sent in a note and explained that I would follow it with the actual checklist when and if it ever comes... Didnt want to wait anymore. And i faxed it and mailed a copy as well with a tracking code so it is sure to get there somehow. Funny how things work, you will get the p3 about the same time as I should get my second one Kat&Allie. And Joe and Nadya, NC is close to the beach tooo! So you get the best of everything. I cant wait to be able to take my kids to the ocean and to the mountains and all that interesting stuff that Ontario doesnt have. Like GATORS!!!! We will all be pretty close, when I fly I usually have a layover in Charlotte, that is such a nice clean airport. I havent seen too much of Charlotte though, went through it by bus last May too. So sad to come home to a soggy IKEA flier and nothing else in my mailbox today Over a month in AP!!!! That is ridiculous. Makes no sense to me. I got home from the USA on Wednesday so there is no way it came before then... Sent DoS an e-mail today, no response, if it doesnt come in the mail by tommorow I am going to call DoS back and ask them if they can possibly send another one, since it has been twice as long as it was supposed to take already... I thought about just doing the forms online, but I need to mail them some checklist or so I have gathered from the Canadian forums. But the consulate in Vancouver does them in a month less on average. I guess Montreal is like the VSC of consulates... No package 3 today , but I have noticed that the mailperson never brings mail to my house on Tuesday or Thursdays. Very strange. I will be all done with my classes pretty soon, my last exam is in less than a month so I would really love to leave Canada sooner. I have thought about going for an extended visit once I know my interview date and just go back to Canada for the interview, but they only give like 30 days notice and I'd have to give my landlord notice and my job notice so that idea isnt very practical. I put some ads online to sell some of my furniture last nite, just because I was bored and wanted to get a head start and got some replies already. I am going to miss IKEA, there isnt one for about 4 hours where I will be living in the US. How was your day today anyways? Raining here and unseasonably warm. I am looking for the contact info for the Montreal Embassy so I can find out if it is in transit or something. From what I have seen they take about 2 weeks to get to you in Canada.. and its been longer and I know my neighbour was stealing my mail before... So it has me wondering if she took it while I was gone... Being back here sucks, but it sucks a bit less now that I had that one more nite with my hunnie.. I took the original NOA2 back with me and noticed that it expires july 9... so hopefully my ideal of moving by the end of July will still happen.. maybe... And at least Charles is gone to summer camp for the national Guard for the entire month of May so maybe that time will go by pretty fast... Missed my flight last nite and got to spend another nite with my hunnie, although I am bummed that I missed it.... I went though security in Charleston, they mistook a plastic bangle bracelet for a gun and went through my entire purse. The TSA guy asked me " is there anything that can hurt me in your purse?" I couldnt come up with a witty comment for such a dumb question. i am not sure on what planet a gun looks like a plastic bracelet.... And another TSA guy told me to go to the wrong gate... Soooo I missed my plane... Then the Delta representative asked to see my ID, I gave him my driver's license and he asked me if Ontario was in California... Finally my boyfriend got to the airport to pick me up again, and the look on his face when he saw me was absolutley worth missing the flight in the first place. I've been away since Friday so maybe my packet 3 will be there waiting for me... I hope.... Im crossing my fingers that you guys hear something this week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Sept 2008 K1 VSC filers	Well I called on Friday and found out that our case was sent to the embassy in Montreal on Thursday and from what I have seen with the DHL tracking thing it was recieved on Friday but I cant be sure about that. I am going to visit Charles on Friday and come back on Tuesday night so will likely begin e-mailing the consulate after that point. I am soo excited about going to visit this weekend, its been over 2 months since I was there, planning to celebrate Valentines Day and the aproval, so I have a lot planned, including sleeping in, I have been soo busy, I work 2 jobs and go to school part time so I'm getting burned out even thought it is almost the end of the term... I am crossing my toes that this week will be your week to leave VSC!!! If not... I am going to raise some heck on your behalf! I still have the letter I wrote, I can cross out my name and replace it with your name, elaborate about how all of us sept fillers want you to be approved, and then stick it in the envelope and walk to the post office and i bet by the time I walk back you will have the NOA2. it will go something like this... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Sept 2008 K1 VSC filers	I havent contacted a congressman yet, from what I have seen I'm convinced its a waste of time. But I am seriously thinking of writting VSC a letter tonite. Im going to use my hello kitty stationary... trying to make it look extra desperate. And I am pretty sure they approve people who filled more recently because outlying data like the December fillers makes their average look better. I never thought that I would be close to joining the 6 month club.... Looks like there are only 3 active posters from September left. This really sucks. I hope my NOA2 comes after 3 weeks like your's Amber but Tanya's timeline makes me doubt that that is even possible. I have done everything to maintain my sanity and not think about the wait but after nearly 6 months I am almost at my wit's end. Our original plan was for me to move after my graduation ceremony in June. Taking a couple of classes at University helped me keep my mind off of everything, and now those classes are almost over, and it feels like the only thing I have to do is to wait for this to be over. On top of that my consulate, the one in Montreal is taking about 4 months to schedule an interview... And that really sucks. Everyone should have to wait about the same time, and these November fillers have been waiting for 2 less months then the remaining Sept. fillers. UGH IM SOO PISSED OFF!!! Well I think that is all I can rant about for now. And you know the worst thing is that I cannot bring myself to congratulate people who have been approved from November already. I definitely feel the same way as you, i cant congratulate november fillers who are being approved now. We filled way before them and have had to wait even longer then they did and why? no one can give us a satisfactory answer. Essentially we didnt do anything , we just got bad luck and are being forced to be apart from our loved ones longer. And the longer this is taking the more of an emotionally unstable person i am finding myself. I snap and am just generally very crabby, trying to make the best of it but i didnt think i was going to be 6 months to approval... and the thought of a second RFE makes me even more worried.
