It's ok to wait now coz ur already with your hubby that is the most important thing. You don't have to worry so much in waiting for your papers coz at least u already process and gave it to them its already their problem for the investigation and conducting an interview for your greencard.

I am done with my medical exam and everything is ok even the physical doctor is a little mean to me but i know and confident that i will really passed it.

My interview will be coming so soon on Oct. 4, 2007 and i am always searching here in VJ what are the steps i need to know so that i have a knowledge on what to do next and what papers need to ask on the nest step!

I just want to ask for the recent members here who had their interview already if its ok i will fill up the DS forms online and i will just bring the packet with me sent by the embassy? for the not to write down below this line it is true that need to fill it up?! coz we searched for asawa VJ members that they fill it up and need to fill that form.

Is anyone here have the same interview date with me? hope you let me know i just want to have a company also in going there coz it makes u at ease when u have a friend to be with you also while going there...

Just read your post here and i will answer it based on my experienced when i travelled back home to Philippines with my passport still in my maiden name and gc is in my married name...

You don't need your AP since u have your greencard with you now. What you only need is a passport in going out the country and or entering canada and when u get back u need both your passport and your gc..passport to clarify it is you and your gc to prove that you are allowed to comeback to U.S. and your a permanent resident now..

I read some people before prior to my travel to bring your marriage certificate just incase they will ask it..i did bring mine but they never bother looking it but if you like to be safe just bring it so that you will travel worryfree but be happy on your vacation.

Yeah, the things i've been stated for joint we can prove those that were living together for 2 yrs and until now and we just bought a house and transferred here 3 weeks ago so we will be including the lease of the apartment so that we can prove we are together. We have envelopes addressed to us together, a copy of our church or renewal vows when we went home to the phils.

For the car insurance it is only my hubby's name since i do not know how to drive yet and he already have it before we got married and we don't have any life insurance.

Do u think its just ok? the bills is all under his name but do u think the mortgage loan and the house is both in our names is just ok?

Heheheheh..Bayview Hotel and Miramar Hotel is the closest hotel to embassy! some are just nearer but this two is right infront of the embassy but you just need to cross the street! Bayview i like it more compared to Miramar..well just a tourism professional so i know more in hospitality and travel industry! We have same interview dates and medical exam but your so lucky coz you have it all already for the pocket! How you search it online? my fiance already called US state and said Mnl already mailed the pocket to me last aug. 10. 2007. I am from cebu city and until now the pocket not yet arrive and it is already two weeks since they mailed it.

Do I need to call the embassy or just my fiance will do it? pls help me and if you have a contact number or person i can contact and talk in the embassy I just want to make sure that the pocket will arrive safe in my home.

But for my interview date we are planning to do it later date oct. 8 coz my fiance will be coming here in cebu arrive oct. 5 in the evening it is possible we can change it into later dates?

She can have it or have a seminar even without NOA2 she dont really exactly need it there! Only your passport pages you can scan it and send her in an email and print it if possible just let her have a copy of something to prove that your still single coz for us they really trick us and ask it for me even if its not needed but to make sure just give ur personal documents:

passport copy
birthcertificate
or maybe email from your relatives to her that she can tell that your really single coz for me all i did i just print the email of my fiancee younger sister to me and it proves to them that my fiance is still single!

what needed in the interview like your tickets of travel port of your entry here and documents proof of your relationship is needed

She better scheduled it early and line up so early coz it is first come first serve only here in Cebu only 15 people only per day for US i dont know how many in manila but for Cebu only i am familiar..

If you have some questions about CFO and DFA matter just feel free also to email me or ask coz i will see if i have something to help! I work in DFA before as my first job so i know a little of their policy and some of the documents! CFO i did so early last May so i really suggest your fiancee can make it earlier as of now to make her done and not worry for everything and at least she will be reminded coz it is really for filipina.

Just tell her to have it photocopy already coz they just really ask that and most of that cases they really ask one copy you dont need to get another one. For your packet 3 just wait it to arrive or try to call the hotline of US Embassy Manila coz they will give you a date ahead of time and a deadline in case your packet 3 will not arrive so your fiancee need to come in manila and directly print online for her medical and present it to St. Lukes and after her medical on thee 3rd day she will go to the embassy and be in gate 2 so that she can personally get her pocket 3 so better call the embassy so that you will know what early date they gave to your fiancee.

Like for example to me they mail the pocket 3 last aug. 10 and scheduled me a medical for sept. 27 and interview for oct. 4 but until now my pocket 3 dont arrive yet...So, when i called yesterday they said if my pocket 3 dont arrive yet until Sept. 7-9 I need to go to manila early as Sept. 19-20 for my medical and print it online for my schedule and present it to St. Luke for some documents needed in the interview be sure she will bring it also coz they said just to make sure coz St. Luke will ask it sometimes..

For me, my interview will be sept. 27 and oct. 4 for interivew they said they already mailed the pocket last aug. 10 until now not yet arrive and i called yesterday and they gave me a date until sept 7 if i cannot have it i need to go to St. Luke earlier than sept 27 and the date they gave to me is sept. 19 or 20 so that after my medical i can get my pocketi n the embassy and go to gate 2.

So i think your friend really need to call the hotline number 19091017878 and tell about her case so that she will know what to do.

I search your quirries and as a travel specialist or tourism major their are lots of travel agency here that is good grand hope, grand holidays and destination specialist is one of the fastest travel agency who will really do all. Why she need to have a travel agency? I worked in DFA before as my first job and i know their processing time there. For travel agency it only takes so long for you to wait morethan if you will just go their in person the only disadvantage if you will go their personally you have to wake up so early and line up there but the effor and standing there is just worth it than in a travel agency most but not all are just making money for people specially if they know that the girl is have foreigners.

And to add up before DFA when i worked there only 4 application for each travel agency everyday and how many travel agency do we have here and accrideted it is morethan 50...

I just share so its up to you if your wife will go or get with a travel agency or just make it on her own...

Station 1 and station 2 is better for station 1 it is jony's for not so expensive one and for station 2 la reserve, red coconut and boracay regency..station 1 is good for powdered white sand and really for people who like to relax but station 2 is people who just like bars, malls and restaurants andd if you like to be with so many people:-)

Hehehehe we are in boracay now and glad we come here and the typhoon already left Oct 7-10..its good u will come later and its a good weather and nice beach for you to enjoy. For your medical many complaint i get from others and they are asking me where i stayed! Cherryblossoms is very nice and sayo rajud kau tultolon straighton rajud nimo ang St Luke perte rasad ka duol ra Robinsons nice jud ang room niya and affordable. Photocopy nalang daan sa imong letter of invitation and bring the original sad, 1 2x 2 photo and 2 visa pictures pagpa picture nalang daan mahal kau didto ois so kung unsa imo think na needed nimo make sure nalang dala ka kay perte ka mahal didto at least ready na for all.

It is very cheap compared to other ways. just try to check in xoom.com!

Glad for you both and Riza coz your family here you have contact, for me i have 2 aunts here in US they are both sister of my father and have 1st cousins here but i prefer not to contact with them and let them know that i am here coz were not in good terms.

But just glad at least they are filipinas still that is true and and proud to be a filipina!!!!! I just want to tell other filipinas here who married foreigner that we are the model of our country so we will show to our husband and family and other people and nationalities here in US how good filipino is.. coz i am very sad to hear people and other nationalities talking bad to us as a filipina but i know we cannot blame them coz of other filipinas doings also here in US. Sad to think lang that if something bad happens to other good filipinas some of us also we cannot believe so fast and have a second thoughts to help and wonder if its true what shes talking about but i just hope that if something happens to our fellow kababayan we as a good filipina we are their to help them smile.gif

Hello everyone,


I am almost 5 months here in US also coz were batchmate of Riza for our interview in the Phil Embassy. I am in Rochester New York now and i saw filipinos in the church and my mother in law have a filipina friend and my sister in law have a filipino friend. I met both of them but the filipina who is close to my mother in law my husband and i don't like her and when i talked to the filiipino friend of my sister in law and i am looking to him a filipina if he knows a lot of filipinas here he said that i need to beware filipinas coz of tsismis daw only filipina who will put you down and backfight on you. I really don't understand i feel so bad when i heard it coz its bad that we are all filipinos but we are the one who make our kababayan down?! And he said to watch me...both of them told me about the store near to us owned by a filipina and they are filipina family there. I like the pregnant girl working there and she is a bisaya like me and my blood really likes her they started to ask questions to us while buying something and my husband don't like it coz they just see us daw and not so close and ask so many personal questions.

I'm really adjusting every single aspect of my life now specially that i get pregnant so easily when i arrived here and deppression is there it is a very hard time for me coz i just arrived and i need to look or craving for food. I crave food and like to eat something but the problem is the food is not with me so i just ended up of eating tomatoes with vinegar, banana and pineapple just to put something in my tummy coz my taste bad also change.

I get bored of the weather here in my place in Rochester New York coz so cold and i thought spring season dont have any snow na and just a little cold but my husband laugh at me coz it will all end up on the last week of May.

I want to go to mall but i cannot go there always coz i dont know how to drive and always dependent to my hubby i need to walk that he is with me coz until now i easily get faint and tired of walking or standing.

I miss my sister so much coz this is the first time that we are so faraway with each other they are all worried to me but i tried to be strong even i am so weak. I am just glad that my husband is always there to support me and so patient and understanding even if i am so maldita.

In this site i am just happy in visajourney when my hubby find this website coz i know that filipinos is helping each other and sharing their thoughts and experiences but still their is filipinas here that so arte also i already encountered it here..

We'll hope for you u can find a good filipina one in your place and will make friend with them its nice if you start to know and make friend other nationalities other than pinay smile.gif

Hello to all my kababayan,

I am just confused on what to do with my pasalubong. It is shopping time here in US so a lot of sale and most of my pasalubong i will just buy it in victoria secret so it will really be so heavy and so bulky to carry so i am just thinking of sending it to the philippines this december. But my problem is I dont know what is the best courrier or cargo like Forex, LBC, Manila Forwarder:-(

Can you pls share to me and give some advice what is the best and how u did it?

I am very sure pinay is not all like that!

I am a filipina that never dream to marry a foreigner but kind of funny coz i've always been into a long distance relationship. Before my hubby i have an x bf he is one year older than me and he is richer than my husband now. My hubby still taking his master when we met and we don't even have a house until now he is not poor he is not rich like my x bf do but we both live happily and i am contented to live with him in a small one bedroom apartment:-) for now^_^

Important is you both love each other and he loves you more as you do and take care of you..they are not perfect and still have culture difference but at least he is trying his best to please and do everything for you.

I can say i am so lucky to have him and i am so proud and i didnt regret of marrying a foreigner. LOVE is all that matters and love need to roam arround or see other side of the world to find your behalf!

Hello i just saw your post now..if you will be having your medical better stay in cherryblossoms hotel its near robinson mall and just 1 or 2 blocks away from st lukes u can just easily walk from the hotel.

I got the idea for this for the VJ people and i paid 1,500 per night before including breakfast for two. It amazed me coz they have lots of choices for their breakfast and if you like an atm machine is just right there if you like to go to mall to eat u can just walk robinson it just right accross cherryblossoms.

Hello J, all i can tell is try all the links they gave you and try some other agencies too compared their prices and number of hours of travel before you decide and the routes how many lay over u gonna make. I always do that way before i purchase a plane ticket.

Now, were going home to the phils. and I purchase the ticket separately i went to www.cathaypacific.com for my jfk-hkg-ceb and i purchase in delta airlines for my roc-jfk its pretty cheap and i get a good deal for this price since this route for hongkong is a very expensive route. The prices or this one in other sites is 2-3k per person and we only paid 1,209 +199 each for total fare for us.

Just try cathaypacific coz i believe it is jfk, lax and san francisco origin of destination that they have lower fares so i think u can get a good deal like what we get.
