Hi,

You can't believe how happy I am to find this website/forum. We - Pardis and I - just got married 12/19/08 and I returned to US and still waiting for arrival of our marriage certificate translation to file I-130 and so on... It's feeling good not only to see that you are not alone in this painful, very painful process and "seperation" but also to have accurate information about the process as a whole and in details for each step.
So far I just have my marriage date : 12/19/08 hopefully I will be able to send I-130 by the end of this week or early next week.
Unfortunately I think I have to go through VSC cause I'm in Connecticut.
Best,

WElcome to VJ...... YOU will love it here kicking.gif

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresConsulate Interview Approved!
QUOTE (mamalou @ Feb 12 2009, 01:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Thanks God he is so good to me. our interview go smooth and the Consul assign to us was nice lady, she approve us without even asking a Co-sponsor, considering that my husband's in come does not meet Poverty income requirements, but the thing is that he is currently & continuously working (I arrange his 2008 pay stubs from Jan to the current date, in separate sheet of paper I did make a breakdown). I guess its a plus factor that my husband is single, no kids plus when the consul ask me whats my job I said I have been through a lot of work before I was once working in an office, become self employed, I also tell that i have a home business. So maybe she think that I can be a potential rather than become a public charge. Lastly, i ask her ''Mam when can I get our visa, She said don't worry everything is fine except to just furnish me with your NBI Clearance in your previous family name (late husband family name i used before) She said once you submit it your visa will fallow. told her '' you know Mam my husband is so lonely waiting for me since we been apart for over 1 yr now, She smile & said Yes I understand your situation but don't worry, smiling at me & my daughter. Alam nu mga guys un pre screener na assign sa booth #25 was so mataray to me. Pero I keep quite nlang. But anyways thanks for everybody wishing me well in my interview.
Good Luck to everybody who are patiently waiting I wish your speedy approval. Your time will come soon. kicking.gif star_smile.gif kicking.gif

US Citizenship General DiscussionI'm a citizen as of yesterday!!!
[quote name='Aussielad' date='Feb 27 2009, 06:43 AM' post='2689583']
Well.....there were 77 of us, ALL Latin American countries were represented, the majority of the 77 being from the Dominican Republic (figuring that close to Puerto Rico) and there were two from Europe (1 Russian, 1 German) and then there was me!

We waited 1 hour for everyone to finally arrive (latins have bad punctuality arriving on time) even the judge arrived late (go figure) and then 26 minutes later...we were out.

No Video, she just said "Congratulations everyone. Everyone please stand to take the oath, and then we'll give out your certificates".

And so she did that really quick, and when she got to me, a few other ladies that worked for the Department of Homeland Security came over to the judge and they all said to me "Congratulations, your the first Australian ever to naturalize in the state of Puerto Rico" lol (although its not a state but they are really statehood advocates, its still a territory)

Walking outside the courtroom RIGHT NEXT DOOR the trial of the ex-governor Anibal Acevedo Vila was going on in his corruption scandal during elections, tight security indeed....weird, us getting naturalized in one room and teh ex-governor on tirla in the next room...weird.

So that felt good. After that i went with my wife and we flew kites in Old San Juan at El Morro and went back to the other side of the island.

So IM DONE!!!!!..............PROCESS OVER!!!!!!!. THANKS VISAJOURNEY for your help!

Hello fellow Vj'ers,

After receiving my visa last October 04,2008 and stayed for 2 1/2 months here, now its time to leave.Me and my 3 years old daughter are leaving tomorrow via Continental Airlines,POE is Guam.It makes me sad bcoz I will miss everything.I never been to other country so I'm sure I will miss my home,my friends,my family. But still happy because finally me,my fiancee and our daughter will be together finally at last with no more long distance.

I don't know what to say anymore...all I do is crying.
To all those people who helped me and my fiancee on our journey...I want to say thank you for all the information, advice, prayers, support you had given us from filling K1,CRBA of my daughter.I also want to thanks visajourney for all the informations, experiences here. This site really helps us a lot.

To those who are starting their journey, having upcoming medical/interview,waiting for visa and etc., Good luck to all of you and will include all of you in my prayers.Have faith and more patience.Trust in the Lord.
This will not be my last post here.I will still check VJ and answer all questions and help as long as I can.

God Bless us all.

Have a safe trip and welcome AMERICA!!!!

Help! I have a shirt wrapped around my face as I write this post. Some sort of small fish she cooks in oil, produces lots of smoke. wacko.gif It smells like the warmest day in gym class, only 100 times worse. It has been two days now, and I can't even go in the house without covering my face. sad.gif

Buy an exhaust fan and air freshener. There are many worse things she could do than fry fish.

There are SO many acronyms used here that sometimes I feel like I am reading a foreign language!! wacko.gif
I have looked up many of them in the index of terms here, but so many still elude me! Is there a list of more acronyms anywhere that I can learn from? This site is incredible, I just want to learn as much as I can so I don't miss anything!
Thanks to anyone who can help!

you can go to FAO section and click the definitionand acronyms there are more words and numbers too
