IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsnotice received from my cr1 application

USCIS announced a worklaad shift a while ago, from NBC to the service centers. Also all cases with beneficiaries from the Philippines are also being transferred.

You will probably get one or two more incorrect updates and then you will get a hard copy letter with a correct location of the transfer.

Where's your beneficiary from? the Philippines?

thanks for ur quick reply...yes, my beneficiary is from Philippines.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsnotice received from my cr1 application

Hello there!

I just received another notice from USCIS about my CR1 application quoted as below:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

From the letter that we received, it doesnt states any case number yet. I am still relying on the receipt number that I got from the first NOA that I got a week after I filed my application for any follow ups that I've made.

Does anyone knows or any  idea how much longer will it takes after this notice? Appreciate very much your inputs about this.

Thanks a lot!

You will be needing the I-864. A joint sponsor will fill out their own separate I-864.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresApplying an AOS in US

Hi everyone,

My husband  filed an I-130 this Sept 16, 2013  for cr1 visa. After reading several cases in this site,

have learned that it will took an average of 8 months & some got approved more than a yr.

We have never expected that this application will took this long.

My question now is, since I'm holding a tourist visa, is it ok if I just go to america & just filed an AOS there instead?

Will this be a problem?

Thanks to those who will reply on my querry.

Regards,

Angela

    - who will gonna file or submit this form?

same questions w/ the co-sponsorship.

Understand tht this is needed when the income of the petitioner will not meet the requirements

kindly help send me a guide on how to proceeed w/ this?

we have already filed an I-130 &  was just confused if those documents should be included in filing.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSubmitting documents on AOS

Your husband will submit an I-864 that is as complete as possible.  If his only income is not taxable, he can simply hand write in the past tax information section, "Not required to file.  All income is non-taxable."  He should then show evidence of his income and its source (a benefits declaration) even if it isn't enough.

well noted...thanks for the inputs...really a big help! :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFORM I-864 & I-864 EZ

hello everyone,

we are in the process of submitting the documents for AOS....we are confused which form will be filled up

between I-864 & I-864EZ.... according to some information that i got, I-864 EZ will be used if there's only sponsoring

immigrant listed w/c applied to me since i am the only sponsoring immigrant...what confuses me is part 1b question

on form I-864 EZ which says...i am using  ONLY my own earned or retirement income....since  we will

be using a joint sponsor, does this mean that our case doesn't fall on this question and we are not eligible to filled up this form?

My another questions on the portion of sponsor's income........

1/ do we need to indicate the annual income even if did not meet the income requirement?

2/ if no federal tax were filed on the most  3  years, is it ok to put 0 or we will just leave it blank?

thank you so much for your help. God bless us all!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresdocuments for IV & AOS packet

i just grouped the documents per financial eveidence documents & civil documents...i did not indicate anymore if its AOS or IV packet.

i was just hoping and thinking that those  will just go to one department or division so it wont lost. thanks for taking time to read and replied to my querries. :)

angeldan08Not TellingPhilippines2014-06-27 16:55:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresdocuments for IV & AOS packet

"False checklist" is VJ vernacular for checklists that are generated asking for the complete package when people follow known shortcuts to reduce waiting. The fees have been paid and the required online firms have been submitted, now it's time to send the paper documents.

Your husband doesn't need to submit a marriage or birth certificate with his AOS documents; however, the joint sponsor will need to supply proof that they are a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.

i understand ur point but my question now is how am going to grouped the documents?is it as per received checklist or the usual groupings?

Sorry if I may sound persistent. Thanks a lot.

angeldan08Not TellingPhilippines2014-06-26 00:56:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresdocuments for IV & AOS packet

Yes ur right we have paid AOS & IV , have filled up & submitted 2 online documents. w/c are ds 261 & ds260.

After that i received and 2 separate  email from NVC w/ the subject of checklist cover letter. Onen email w/c was addressed to my husband is about AOS that states what documents he needs & another email was addressed to me w/c states about the IV & the documents that I need to submit. My husband and I received both email. How can we say that this is false document wherein all my information was stated there and its clearly came from NVC.

Will there a problem if I will just submit the documents according to what was written on email? I'm planning to send the documents together in one enevelope but will separate according to each packet. Pls advise your thought. Thanks

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresdocuments for IV & AOS packet

Hi Ryan H

I have received 2 separate email checklist emails from NVC and  grouped as per below:

1/ AOS supporting documents

       barcoded cover page

       email checklist  notice

       I-864 filled up form

       financial evidence

       original copy of marriage contract

       original copy of birth certificate

2/ IV supporting documents

   barcoded cover page

   email checklist notice

passport's bigraphic data page of beneficiary

nbi clearance (since i'm living in the phils.)

Pls note that they did not  require submission of  2x2 photo and the photo copy of the original documents but I opted to send those  since it won't make any harm What makes bothers me  is the groupings of documents which is quite different from what Visa journey had shared. I understand that  this given guide had been followed by a lot of members and was approved successfully. I just want to make sure as I don't want to make any moved that will delay my application.

Thanks so much for your continued help. :)

Hi Everyone,

I was just confused on the checklist email that I received from NVC...there's a difference on the groupings of documents against  on what is listed here in Visa journey. Based on the guide given here, all the civil documents are grouped in IV packet but on the checklist that I received from NVC, marriage certificate & birth certificate is in the group of AOS packet. Please help advise how am I going to group my documents.

Thanks for your help.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresjoint sponsor

Dear Friends,

We used a joint sponsor when we filed AOS but NVC required my co sponsor to submit her husband documents as well since their tax returns was filed jointly. Instead of involving her husband, we're just thinking of getting a new joint sponsor.  My concerns:

1/ Would there be any problem if we file another AOS with the new joint sponsor?

2/ Is it ok to just ignore the notice from the NVC since we are now changing the previous joint sponsor?

3/ Can a person  who currently sponsoring her parents be our joint sponsor?

Thanks and God bless us all :)
