United Kingdomflights with british midland airlines
They are a good airline but be careful because they code share and you might not be flying on a BMi plane. I did LHR = IAD last month and the plane turned out to be United I think (either that or US, my memory sucks) and there seating configuration was 2-5-2. Which is pretty crappy if you are travelling alone as nobody wants that middle seat and it's so great getting wedged in between two couples you don't know for 8 hours!! lol. Apart from that the attendants were good, the food ok and the entertainment mildy entertaining.

BTW most airlines only fly to "specific airports", that's how we know where we're going when we get on. Now a request stop airline that'd be interesting, lol. Hands up who wants to go to................

.......Seattle it is then.

United KingdomPacket 3, DS 156 Photographs.
Hi, just in the process of finalizing the forms to return (DS 156, 157 etc) and was all set to include the two photographs with the 156 but on another reading of the instructions that came with packet 3 it seems to suggest that I should take them with me to the interview, although the form says affix photo's here. Now I am second guessing myself. Which is correct. Please help, my head hurts!!

United KingdomTime until interview
Hi, our packet 3 with checklist was returned to the US Embassy in London on the 8th of December. Is there are rough date or timeline we should be looking at for when they will return with an interview date. I understand that with Christmas and New Year we might have to wait a little longer but was just wondering what sort of timescale.

Thanks in advance AndieAndy.

United KingdomCheap hotels close to Medical London.
That area of London is expensive for anything decent and I'd imagine anything cheaper would be #######. I'd suggest staying out somewhere further on the Jubilee line and just using that to come straight into Bond Street in the morning. If it was me I'd be looking for a Prem Lodge or the like in Stanmore or further down the line. There is a Days Hotel about 1 mile from the Tube Station in Stanmore.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurestourist visa while waiting for K1 visa
You should be fine, ours was sent in June and I have been twice since then. I am nervous for the next time though as we should have then NOA-2 by then and presumably entered into some kind of system.

People say on here you should always take with you evidence of ties to your home country (lease, job, car, etc.) and enough finances to support yourself. Never had a need for them yet myself but no harm in bunging these in at the bottom of your carry on.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionLONDON PEOPLE BETWEEN NOA2 AND INTERVIEW
Hey y'all!!

Just got packet 3 today!! And I think other than my medical I am all set to send but unfortunately I am going to have to sit on it for a couple of weeks or I'll end up being in the US on the day they want me in the UK for my interview - there's always a catch!! lol.

Two questions while I am here, does anybody know if the Packet have any sort of expiry date (I hope it won't grow mold)? And secondly if I arrange the medical and they send the results through to the embassy will that automatically trigger the system to arrange my interview date or will they wait for me to send in my checklist as per instructions??

Good luck one and all.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEntering US after Visa granted without using visa?
Ok so this is way ahead of schedule especially since it is our first question....but.....

So firstly thanks to all the help that is on this site already which has just helped us send off the I-129F packet yesterday. This is a great site and well done to all those that contribute, ask and share. innocent.gif

My question assumes a successful application and granting of the K-1 visa to me. I know it is valid for a six month period and then 90days from entry in to the country with the visa, but can I enter after receiving it without activating it? i.e. Entering using the normal VWP method. This would obviously then allow us more time to plan a wedding but still enable us to see each other.

Thanks Andy.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVacinations and Immunisations
I recently came across (by chance) a list online of all the Vaccines you are required to have to change status once you are married in the US. But being the Internet I have no idea where this was or if it was correct. Does anybody have a definitive list? Or a link to somewhere on here or elsewhere. There seemed to be a hell of a lot so I thought I might start to get the ball rolling early.

Thanks in Advance.
