United KingdomInterview doucument link not working

This is a link I have about interview http://photos.state....visa/iv_019.pdf

I have 3 links for interview documents. Since vj cuts off the full url, I'll write what the different endings are

http://london.usemba..._documents.html
/interview_documents (This one used to be the link from the K1 instruction page. They changed it maybe 2 months ago and this one quit working.)

http://london.usemba..._documents.html
/application_documents (works)

http://london.usemba..._checklist.html
/document_checklist (works)

Thank you! I found these pages but wasn't sure if they were the right ones. :)

United KingdomInterview doucument link not working
My fiance received packet 4 from the embassy in London. It gave a link for the required documents and when we click on the link it says page moved or page not found. It gives further instructions to refer to the site index. When I do that, the page comes up with the heading "Documents required for the Visa Interview" but nothing is listed under the heading. Does anyone know the correct link?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVery Confused Needing Advice
For those who got married outside of the US what has your wait time been for visa approval? I said in my first post that it is important to him to get married in New Zealand, but it has also become important to me. We will be living in the US so it is only fair that his family get to participate in the wedding. His parents can not travel to the US so that is out of the question. Just wondering what the wait times for others have been, and were you allowed visits in the meantime? The immigration officer said that visits may or may not be allowed.

Thanks so much to those of you who have responded :)

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVery Confused Needing Advice
Hello all, this is my first post and I am trying to sort all of this out. I am very confused and would appreciate advice. My boyfriend is from New Zealand. We are talking about getting married and are trying to figure out the best way to go about this. After some recent health issues my Dr. told me that if we plan on having children we should do it soon. That has prompted us to get serious about marriage. Ideally we wanted to get married in New Zealand in a small ceremony including his parents and then come back to the states for a ceremony with my friends and family. When talking to the immigration officer she told me that it would be better for us to get married in the US because the fiance visa and getting married process would probably be shorter than the spousal visa (K-3 ?) Can anyone give me advice on this situation. It is very important to him to get married in New Zealand, but he also understands that doing so could mean more time apart. We don't want to miss our window of opportunity for having kids.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 Received!
Hi everyone, we just received our NOA2 in the mail today. I have been a little obsessive about watching timelines on here and checking case status on USCIS website. I just wanted to let everyone know that according to the case update on USCIS there has been no change. I also signed up for e-mail and text update. We have received neither. Just wanted to say if you are as obbsessive as I am about it, don't get discouraged. I have to say I am happy with the way it played out. It was a complete surprise and I am ecstatic :) I would rather it be approved with no web/text updates than have them spending time updating those things and delaying approvals. Good luck to all of you and thanks for the great info and support. This site ROCKS!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow long before case left NVC
We received one of the approval letter that said our case was sent on to consulate. When I called NVC to verify, they said they did not have record and from the first paragraph of our approval letter it meant the case was sent on to the US Embassy in London. USCIS said same thing. I hoped that was the case, but from reading input on VJ the case would be sent to NVC.....period. So I didn't call NVC yesterday and I called the Department of State today. The lady I spoke to there said she has no idea why they would tell me it would not go to NVC becasue they ALL do and she looked up our case by receipt number. She told me to call NVC back because it has been logged and they can now give me a case number. I called and got our case number but now I am wondering when our case will leave NVC and go to consulate. For those who have already been through this stage, how long did it take? From all the timelines I have looked at the turnaround seems very quick. I just don't want to get my hopes up. I would like to hear from those who have lived it. Thanks all.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsBefore NOA2 - Touches
I too signed up for text/e-mail and was obsessive about checking USCIS website for status updates. No changes no touched notices, basically I saw a whole lot of nothing! On 12-20-11 our notice arrived in the mail. The official notice date was 12-15-11. On 12-23-11 I got text & email stating change in status. I liked that it was a surprise in the mail. Even though I was expecting it, I wasn't expecting it. I know that doesn't seem to make sense, but that is the only way I can describe it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMedical Completed & Packet 3 Logged

I got a question if you guys can help me out i would appreciate it, my question is did you go get the medical exam done before knowing your interview date? so basically as soon as you get NOA2 you book an appointment at knightsbridge? then after thats done they send it the london embassy? thats how it works right? because we have send our I-129f on 12th december 2011. And we got our NOA1 few weeks later so now i am just curious if i should get my medical done as soon as possible. Any advice would be helpfull. Thank you :)

After much research on here, we determined our best bet was to wait until we received packet 3. Packet 3 contained information for the medical and we wanted to follow it to the letter. As soon as he received the packet 3 he called to set up the medical and it was scheduled the following week. Our status is officially "waiting for an interview date" He could get the interview scheduled shortly (I believe the standard interview is about 4 weeks from the time interview is set) or we could wait weeks to get the interview date. As with any part of this process a lot of time is spent waiting. :clock: For some countries the medical is good for 1 year but it depends on the country. We made sure that we were prepared when the time came to send packet 3 back and to go for the medical. He had his health records from his doctor in NZ and his vaccine booklet. The nurse thanked him for being an easy case because he was so prepared. The only shot/vaccine he needed was the flu shot. He was in and out for the medical in about 50 min. Providing everything looks good they said the embassy will have the results by Monday the 23rd (appointment was the 18th) I wouldn't get your medical until you are sending back your packet 3. You need your embassy to have logged your case because if it is not logged then there is too much risk of your medical info being lost before you are in the system. Hope this info helps. If you list your country and embassy, it will be easier for people to give you advice specific to your embassy. :)

Hopefully, the light at the end of the is getting brighter each day now.

We too are expecting to hear about interview soon, also at London. It's difficult to get an idea of just when the interview might be though. Fingers crossed for you both.

Good luck

I know we still have a wait, but it is good knowing the wait will come to an end soon. Good luck to you guys too, fingers crossed yours comes thru soon too :)

:joy: Adam had his medical today and London has logged packet 3. They have said he is eligible for the interview and we are just waiting for them to set the date. Embassy should have medical results next week, and fingers crossed for an interview date soon. After the long wait for NOA2, it is nice to see progress! Friends are happy for me but they don't really know what it is like or what it all means. Thanks all for always being here to answer questions and give support. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPlease update status
I would like to say thank you to all who share info on here. It is so helpful when folks share their stories and information. I would also like to ask that everyone take the time to update their timelines. We all file our petitions and have to sit back and wait to find out the progress. If we all stay on top of our timeline updates, it helps others to know how things are processing. I am obsessive about updating mine (just wish we were past the next step so I could update again) and I am also obsessive about checking out everyone else's. It in some odd way makes me feel proactive. I also love seeing update stories. I think we can all appreciate a good story about someone getting approved, and it projects how it will be when it is our turn. Thanks again all :)

I know how it is though, trying to do anything that makes you feel connected and productive in the process. My fiance laughs because I am obsessive about checking processing and such. For me I don't like that I have no control so I do what I have control over. If it makes you feel better to do these things then I say go for it! Time may go faster if you do other things, but if you aren't doing anything anyway and this helps then no harm done. Good luck :)

I am sure I am not the only one to have this happen. Over the past months I have lost 45 lbs. Most of my pictures with my fiance are of me at a heavier weight with the exception of his last visit (when he proposed) I did not think it would be a problem until somone else pointed out that it could be because to them I look completely different. Should I include documentation from my weightloss center as proof of my weightloss and that the earlier pictures are really me? I think my core characteristics are the same but others have made me worry. I am trying to upload a before pic and an after (both of which were included in our I-129f packet)

My fiancé is a New Zealand citizen. In addition to his New Zealand passport he has a British passport (his dad is Scottish so he gets the British passport under his dad). He has been living in London for about 4 years now. We have filled out our fiancé packet and we are almost ready to send it in. My question is, has anyone else ever filed under these type circumstances ie filing as a New Zealand citizen in a UK based US embassy? My local immigration office said it won't be a problem as it is the US Embassy that is important, not where he is at the time of filing. She didn't really answer with enough confidence to reassure us. Any info would be appreciated.

We are trying to prepare for the interview process. I am getting a statement from my employer as to my current income to find out just where I fall, but I have a couple questions. I think for this year I will fall somewhere between $27,000/$29,000 and I have no dependants. With my fiance added, the USCIS guidelines say $22,065. I am assuming this guideline is for gross pay and not net. If that assumption is correct then we will fall within the guidelines. I am just wondering if I should have an affadavit of support from another source. I have two people that will provide one if it is needed. One of the people who said they will provide one is my brother in law. I say my brother in law because he makes more money than my sister but they have said they will list both incomes if need be. Another question I have is that although their baby is yet unborn (due in April) my brother in law pays child support for 3 children from a previous marriage. If his 3 children do not live with them how are they considered with his income? Even if all are considered along with his mother who lives with them (she is self supporting, but I assume he needs to count her because she lives under his roof) He will fall well within the guidelines. The other is my boss and best friend. Her status is pretty straight forward. I can get an affidavit of support from both if need be, just wanted some input so I can decide on what is best.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresBirth certificate for interview
Hello all. We have received our NOA2 (dated Dec. 15th 2011) We are now waiting for the next step. In the mean time we are trying to get everything together for his interview so he will be ready as soon as he is notified. My question is concerning the birth certificate. He was born in New Zealand and is living in London. He is not sure if he has possesion of his birth certificate or if it is stored with his belongings in New Zealand. Do they always ask for a birth certificate? He has his British passport and New Zealand passports, are passports not sufficient? If he has to have his birth certificate then I want to get it all sorted now before it causes delays. I have copies of mine and will be sending him an additional copy with the copy of the packet I sent with the I-129f.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCrossroads
I understand the frustration, but can't imagine having a child involved. One thing I can say is that i also know what it is like to be the one not doing what my partner wants and needs. I love my fiance with all of my heart but sometimes he feels like I am not connecting with him or am not vested in his happiness. That couldn't be farther from the truth, but sometimes it appears that way. This process is so difficult and sometimes one just gets into a rut of doing/saying the same things. I think it is kind of an autopilot survivial mode. I get frustrated because I think in person things will be so different. For example he was sick recently. It was probably the worst bout of sickness he has had since I have known him. He was feeling rotten and cranky and like I wasn't doing enough to make him feel better. If he had been here I would have run him a hot bath, warmed a robe for him to wear when he finished the bath, given him medicine and soup, and given him a massage for the body aches. While talking to him on the phone that was what I was longing to do for him. Had I been able to do those things I think he would have known my want, care, and love for him. That is what he was needing at that time and I just couldn't give the equivilent over the phone. Not saying that it is the same with you and your fiance, just saying it could be playing a role in what is going on. Just wanted to give you some perspective from the side of the person who doesn't always seem to care.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWe were chosen for Administrative processing!

Sri, you are not so special.....everyone goes through AP, from USCIS, from NVC and then again from the Embassy.

Our AP at NVC took three weeks.

Very happy not being special :) Was told that files are randomly pulled and considered in AP (which I verified was different than regular processing) Being considered "in AP" can mean much added processing time. Your AP was 3 weeks mine was a few days for others it can be a couple months. Maybe not so special but very happy being me with my few days vs others with weeks or months :) That step finished and now just hoping for what everyone else hopes for, a process that moves as quickly as possible so I can marry my sweetie!

What the :ranting: !!!

I was approved on Dec 5th. The NVC still don't have our file. Whether that means were in AP or not, I don't know. Seems like it's an unnecessary step in the whole thing, to be honest.

Hope we all get answers soon!

Fingers crossed for you that something happens for you soon!

I called today and was also told that my case was send to the embassy. I was in AP for 3 weeks exactly...

YAY! Glad that hurdle is over for you :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWe were chosen for Administrative processing!

I was stuck in AP for about 2 to 3 weeks - I estimate that time based on the difference between my processing time and that of others. Apparently, it's entirely random.

That is what I was told. I was also told that AP can mean something different for each file that is chosen. Some files they do full on background checks and the rest of the process all over and others could be just review the file. Some fall somewhere in between. At least we are all on our way now :)

Called today to see about forwarding case to New Zealand instead of London just incase my fiance wanted to transfer so he could at least be with his family while waiting. I was told I would have to contact the embassy in London because they had alread forwarded the case! We had a very short AP time and I am so thankful! The only reason I called to check about a transfer was because I thought it would be stuck there for a long while.

Our application has left the NVC and arrived in London (not logged yet, but I did the DHL track) I am sending the copy of the packet that I sent in along with the letter from my employer, and tax returns.

My questions are,

1. Do I need to fill out an affidavit of support, or is that just needed for AOS?
2. Do I need to send a more current letter of intent to say I still want to marry him?
3. He will have his original birth certificate, do I need to send mine to him?

I know he will need to submit new proof of relationship. I thought I knew the answers to these questions, but as I was double checking myself I couldn't find the posts that I had read in the past to support the answers. He has all of the documents he will need to take, police certs, birth cert etc. Thanks for the help all!

once london has all the required forms (including DS-2001) and your medical results then they will send your fiance an appointment letter.

I just remember reading where some emailed/called before receiving the packet 4 (interview appointment letter) was just wondering if anyone had done that or if we just have to wait. One post said they called DOS to see if they were eligible for interview then called consulate & set it up before physically receiving the packet. That was at embassy in Canada though, not UK.

Right now our petition is at the London Embassy. My fiance has received packet 3 and will be putting it in the post on Saturday. His medical is Wednesday, January 18th. My question is, how should we progress? I have read on here that some people do not wait for the embassy to contact them. Is it best that we call/email as soon as the medical is complete to see about scheduling an interview. I have seen where some people wait for packet 4 and it never comes so they just call. Just wondering what others have experienced. Thank you :)

:bonk: DOH! We only thought we had done our homework! When he received the one he requested from NZ he commented on how it was in letter form and didn't look as official as the one from the UK. That link explains why. Thank you for the link. The embassy has logged packet 3 and then sent him the form. He filled it out and put it back in the mail today. He did next day delivery, but missed the first post so the embassy should have it by Tuesday. Hopefully they will process it all soon. I feel better just knowing some sort of time frame.
