You don't base the date on the day when you sent the money..

You start counting days from the day they confirm that they recorded the payment.

From the day of receipt.. You should wait 2-4 weeks then..

Also.. Find out if your DS230 has been generated.. You could use the James Shortcut and just get it over with..

I applied for my I130 in May 2007. I thought of applying for K3 Visa as well.. But thought about it again and just pass on it.. I had alot of What Ifs back then..

What if I-130 gets approve before the K3..

I was scared of messing everything up. So I just stood with IR-Visa...

Now I'm in the process of sending my DS230, which is the last part before the interview.. I think IR1 can be quick sometimes..

Yes make sure you staple your forms together but separately. I mean your I-864 together, then your transcripts together but still separately. And what I did is staple all past paycheck stubs together too. Yeah, even if I didn't put the case number on each paper I hope it won't be a problem since they are staple together.

I used paper clip with my I-130 and I-864...

Well I don't really trust the Automated Status..

I'm sorry to tell you.. If I were you I would believe what the live operator would tell you..

On my case.. My automated status is saying that my I864 was reviewed and found missing info, so I called the live operator to find out what was missing and they told me I was missing my IV payment which I haven't received. The next day I received the bill and paid for it ASAP!!

Now that was 2 weeks ago.. I have called the live operator and they told me they have gotten it and had been processed and gave me more info about my next step. Telling me that my DS230 wa mailed and generated.

If I call right now to check for Automated Status.. It would still tell me that my I864 was reviewed and found missing info..

Just my .02cents.. I would really go with what Live Operator would say..

QUOTE (Ness and Keith @ Nov 28 2007, 09:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi VJ'ers,

I already got the CRS Form #5 Advisory for Marriage or the Cenomar from the NSO yesterday i ask favor with one of my friend.. And had it this morning..But my problem is my middle name that reflects on the list of marriage is not the correct one. Then the one after TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Be advised that the search for the name "--------------" -> my name stated here was correct including my middle initial.

So with this i went to civil registrar to ask why the one that reflects is M and not the H which is my correct middle initial. Then, whn the clerk look for my marriage certifcate that was filed in thr ofc the one stated is H also and not M.

So i guess that the one who got mistake here is the one who type the CEMAR. But they are insisting to me that this was the mistake of NSO Manila.. haaayyy naubos talaga pasensya ko sa kanila.. 2moro im planning to go thr again and talk to their Director i will just bring my original copy of marriage certificate coming from Civil Registrar. I hope the director can help me with this.. Since so clear naman in the NSO Marriage Certificate under where i signed that its H and not M..The vague portion lang is the topmost under wife of the contracting parties ..it look like M (mayb got distorted after scanning).

Then my another concern is under "issued upon the request of "___________" <- stated here is the name of my friend and not mine-> for immigrant visa".. -> do u think this will create another big issue to the consul? And may cost delay? unsure.gif

Your inputs will highly be appreciated.

Thank you.

In my opinion.. You just have to have a document/affidavit that could backup the error on the other documents..

Like on my case.. On our Marriage Contract my nationality states Filipino same with my mother.

Which is wrong because were American Citizens.. Well before I filled I asked an immigration officer about the issue and they told me that it wouldn't matter since I have a US passport and a Certificate of Naturalization. They recognize does US docs more than the Philippines docs..

Plus I wanted to fix the issue, I took it to court to get it fix and paid money.. So I got my US docs to backup my Marriage Contract, plus I got a Court Order from the Court of the Philippines regarding the change.

Hi!!

I hope this CEMAR thing is clear to you now, I was confused too before on how can I get the CENOMAR when I am already married, but the replies u got are correct, what the NSO will give u is a CEMAR (CErtificate of MARriage) since you are married, but the form u'll gonna fill up is the same form for the CENOMAR (green form). Let me just share to you my experience when i went to NSO to inquire about that thing.

I came to NSO (San Fernando Pampanga since am from Angeles City) at 11:30am and I asked the guard (holding/giving out the forms to applicant) on how to get the CEMAR CRS Form #5, I expalined to him that it is a certificate that will state how many marriage/s I had.. the guard said i must be asking for a CENOMAR and i said no, what i need is a CEMAR CRS #5 but the guard keep on insisting that they don't have such thing like that and i almost back out and go home! But then i thought of going inside and ask the two people at the information desk if they know what form I must fill up if I need to get a CEMAR, these two people thought what I need is the regular authenticated marrriage certificate, they told me to fill up the pink form but I said no, I already have the authenticated marriage cert. and what I need is the CEMAR CRS #5, I even told them that the CENOMAR is CRS #4 but what I need is the CRS #5, and I can't have that since I am already married, they said they don't know what am talking about, they only know about the CENOMAR and not the CEMAR thing! (Imagine these NSO employee doesn't even know what this CEMAR is! I felt really hopeless that time!) but I insist to them that there must be such thing like that since the EMBASSY will be asking that from me! I think they sensed that am really serious about what am asking so they told me to wait till 1pm and talk to the person(a guy) inside the office (they call him SIR). Thank God I have the patient to wait that day! I waited till 1pm and finally had the moment to talked to SIR, I explained to him that what I need is a certificate that will state how many marriage/s I had and it's called CEMAR CRS #4 and he understood what I want! he said, "ok what u need is to fill up the same form for the CENOMAR but what u'll get is a CEMAR, it's a green form and we only give out 45 forms a day, come here while God is still sleeping if u can! biggrin.gif because 45 forms are given out before 4 or 5 am.." HUH!! I tought then that I must be really so early so am thinking of goin back on thursday, travel at 2am so ill be there before 3am! Hope there will still be a form left for me.

Hope this post will help people understand on how to get that CEMAR CRS Form #5. Goodluck to all of us.

-djturbo's wife

Now that is too early.. I have been to that place.. I have gotten my birth certificates, wife, daughter birth certificates and our marriage contract.. I came about 6AM and my line is by the canteen door.. And alot of does people who are ahead of me are getting either birth certificates or marriage contracts. I think CENOMAR's or CEMARS are rare cases.

Well to be sure.. I will suggest you to just get it @ Manila's NSO crowded but fast service..

I just told my wife to get her NBI clearance yesterday @ Clarke Field... And guess what.. They told her to come back December 4 for the releasing.. If I knew that I should have told her to get it in Manila where its faster service.

My DS230 just generated and I am so excited to submit the forms using JS V2.0, now I have to wait till December 4, till she gets her NBI clearance and send it to me. sad.gif

hi,

i pulled this off another thread:

qout: "It would appear that Manila is requiring the CENOMAR for all these types of visas now."

I don't understand this. If you're married and petitioning your spouse for either or CR/IR visa and you got married in the Philippines, how can you get a Certificate of No Marriage(CENOMAR) from the NSO? This doesn't make sense.

I think they want CEMAR not CENOMAR...

CEMAR is Certificate of Marriage which is a vice versa from CENOMAR..

CEMAR is almost like CENOMAR it just states you have 1 existing marriage which is the current one.

I read and interpreted those DS230 instructions about 50 times now. Here's what I've concluded -

DS230 part 1 needs to be sent to the NVC first.

DS230 part 2 & documents need to be brought to the interview.

Is this right? Or are the NVC's instructions that confusing where I didn't get them after that many read-overs?

---

Last but not least, people who filled "NA" on the I130 for a non-changed maiden name ...

I filled NA on the I130 - it was approved no problem. I also filled NA on the DS230, so the information will match. Anyone else do the same? tongue.gif

Well did you check the NVC website for your DS230 guidlines? Some USEM have different policies.

Like in Philippines.. We have to send both Part 1 and Part 2 at the same time.. Only difference is Part 1 has to be signed by the applicant which is your spouse and Part 2 filled out but not signed.. It will get signed during the Interview process.

I am doing finishing touches on the I864 before sending it out and I have a dumb question. Like the USCIS forms (I130 for example), if something could not be filled out, we were not to leave it blank and had to fill in NA. Is that the same case as the I864? I'm speaking specifically about the assets section (as one example) as I do not plan to use assets. So do I leave it blank, fill everything in with an NA or put a 0 in there since it deals with money? I know in sections where it requests the A number or my husband's social security number, I'm leaving that blank as adobe acrobat wants thsoe in a certain format since I'm filling mine out on the computer and will print it out.
